Enjoyed visiting the Sharjah Calligraphy Museum. Their description is to enter the captivating world of Arabic calligraphy dating from the 7th century to the present. Admire this vibrant art in the first museum dedicated to calligraphy in the Arabian Gulf.

Interesting little museum which punches above its weight. You can see not only older calligraphy amongst the new breed, but experience the wisdom of Holy Book of the Muslims. A nice children's section to practice arabic writing.

It is the only museum in the Arab World dedicated to calligraphy. There are some samples using which you can as well learn how to do calligraphy. They conduct some small activities for kids as well. The staff is very friendly.

Beautiful place in where you can learn and appreciate calligraphy as an expression and art. The galleries sum up a nice and outstanding work for local and visitor artist. Don't hesitate to ask for a tour, the guides are really well prepared.

Sharjah Calligraphy Museum is one part of (joint ticket) history trip in Sharjah. Calligraphy work are comparatively new. But an interesting extra was open doors to an Emirati artist Najat Makki's exhibition. In pics some of her works, too.

This museum can be interesting if you’re into this topic. For someone unfamiliar with the language it does not really provide any accessibility so please be prepared. Even so I enjoyed my short visit.
