Very well kept and nicely presented Museum. To know about the UAE's history is very limited since on their culture it was very much insisted to focus on the present day than recording the history . More than 70% of the artifacts were from other countries apart from UAE . The basic survival before the oil age was a very challenging one on this land , though inspite of all this , they had presented the available artifacts in a very sophisticated and modern way . It is a must see for all other countries government appropriate authorities to LEARN how to present the invaluable jwells which their countries have in their country museum. From this kind of museum. (Even a small kingdom of Hydrabad Nizams family collection in Telangana State in INDIA seems to be very very much more than this countries best museum but the way in which they had presented is absolutely awesome)

For just 10 dirhams, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization offers a fascinating look into Islamic history and culture. Highlights include a 13th-century Qur’an, displays on early medical treatments, and even the world’s smallest Qur’an, truly remarkable artifacts that bring history to life. While the collection is impressive and well curated, the staff weren’t very helpful in explaining the exhibits, which could be a letdown for first time visitors. Still, the museum is worth a visit for anyone interested in the rich legacy of Islamic civilization.

Lovely museum. We stopped by on our way from Ras Al Khamina, there's a big parking lot right next to the museum, toilets right by the entrance. The museum has working AC and a little shop - as well as some pretty nice exhibitions of the Holy Koran, ancient artifacts from the region. Well worth the stop :)
