Shark Cage Diving with Calypso Star Charters

Bucket list stuff right here!! Can’t thank the crew at Calypso star enough. My wife and I booked the shark dive and sea lion swim and 3 weeks later I am still lost for words!! After a 1.5 hour drive (remember to take a box of qwells with you) we arrived at the cove where the sea lions live. So much fun swimming around with these little guys for about an hour (Was too excited and forgot my GoPro on the boat) Jumped back onto the boat for another 1.5 hour drive to the shark dive location. Lunch was served while this was happening (thanks Ollie for the beautiful lunch) Pulled up at the shark dive spot and anchored. After an informative run down of how the next few hours would be spent the cage was lowered into the ocean and it was shark time!! After 30 minutes we were greeted by 3 different great whites. An incredible experience that I will never forget. Dinner was served once all groups had jumped in and it was time for another dive if you wanted too. The ride home was beautiful watching the sunset over the ocean, a few dolphins joined us throughout the trip back and of course we were able to sit back and watch our GoPro videos with an ice cold beer! (Only allowed to drink alcohol if you are NOT DIVING! The crew are VERY serious about this and rightfully so) Thanks again to Calypso star but mainly to our crew, Andy, Dave, River and Ollie, you four made the day/experience one to remember! This is an absolute must if you visit Pt.Lincoln

Absolutely love these guys! We did two trips over two days and swam with both Great White Sharks and Sealions. Very professional outfit and the staff were all lovely and very attentive. Special shout out to Caitlin who we had on both trips, she was a legend!

I did the full day shark cage dive. Had a fantastic time with these guys. All well organised and well run. Staff are great and facilities were perfect. Would certainly recommend them and the experience, as whole!

My husband did the Shark dive tour for our honeymoon and it was the absolute highlight. Travelling from NZ we were definitely hoping to see a great white and we saw four!! Crew were amazing, food was awesome and cheap beers on the trip back. Fantastic and would highly reccomend to anyone.

Not enough superlatives to describe the tremendous adventure. Brooke, Annie and River were fantastic. Not one thing. Thing would I change their enthusiasm, attention to detail, friendliness desire to help the crew each other and the guest were phenomenal. A thing of beauty. The world needs more people like them. The shark did his part showed up on time. So we'll keep him coming back.

After having my sealion tour cancelled on Friday and being handed some wrong information as to the cancellation the company gratefully offered me a trip on the Seafood Bay Tour which was great. I then hung around Port Lincoln till the next departure due to the weather which was today Tuesday. I'm so glad I did as the weather was perfect and the experience was as well. The crew were great starting off with a great breakfast on the way there. The sealions are so cute and playful it was thoroughly enjoyable and I recommend you do it. There were kids as young as 3 who loved it so this is for all ages. Thanks to Calypso for clearing up the misunderstanding and for the Bay Tour they showed what customer service is all about.

Amazing experience, we had such a great day. The staff on our trip were lovely and accommodating and we were also fed really well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful day and unforgettable experience. Shout out to the awesome team getting everything sorted prior to our trip. We booked for the sea lion and cage shark diving combo. Our crew with Ben, Maddie and Taca were a pleasure to deal with and always making our trip confortable. We saw about 30-40 sea lions and they were so interactive. We also 2 great white sharks! Got plenty of cage time, boat was not over crowded at all. Highly recommend will be telling all our friends about our experience 🙏🙏

Amazing experience! This is a must do adventure. The boat ride out to the Neptune islands was a bit long, but the entire experience was fabulous. The staff were all amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. In particular the captain, Dave, was incredibly patient and supportive helping my wife and daughter get comfortable and in the cage. Cannot recommend this highly enough! Also, get the photo package - no question about it.

My husband and I went on their great white charter while in Australia. Unfortunately we did not see any sharks but they whole experience was amazing. The crew, food, and service were great and we even managed to catch a fresh tuna. That has been the freshest sashimi I've had to date. We chose them because they were very transparent with their sighting record and had a solid no shark policy compared to other companies. The group size was perfect, giving everyone ample time inside the cage. Their suits and equipment were comfortable and in good condition. Even though we didn't see any we enjoyed our charter and highly recommend them.

Amazing experience. Yes it is pricey when you first look at it however you are on the boat the whole day (7am-6:30pm) considering the quality and range of food that is included and drinks it is well worth the price. We saw 10 sharks when we were out. Staff were very helpful. Great memories of here and would recommend for everyone to do it at least once
