Shark Cage Diving with Calypso Star Charters

I took my 3 teenage sons on the swim with the sealions 1/2 day snorkelling experience. It was one of the most memorable days I've ever experienced. The boat ride to Hopkins Island was magical with pods of dolphins swimming at the front of the boat. Tom was an informative skipper who made the day so relaxing because of his personality and sense of humour. The crew, Maddi and Caitlin were amazing too, chatting to everyone on board, you could tell they loved their job. We jumped off the back of the boat and snorkelled for 1hr with sealions playing in around us. Money well spent! This company is extremely well run. Highly recommend.

My wife and I started to join the adventure from 2024. However the first two were not be able to meet them in the ocean. On 12th Jan 2026, we tried that again and finally saw one giant male great white! It’s like dreams come true to me. Could not explain how much excited we are. We’re very grateful for the crews that all friendly and full of energy. Even on our first two trips which were not see any. Still can have a really nice day on the boat. And really appreciate the no shark sighting voucher policy it makes us can keep doing this without that much financial pressure. They are definitely the best choice if you wanna meet these amazing creatures.

I recently joined the Seafood Tasting Cruise with family and friends, and it was absolutely perfect. Andrew and Brad were fantastic hosts — friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. I didn’t expect to be so fascinated by the local fishing industry, but Andrew’s storytelling and respect for the sea made it truly captivating. The whole experience felt like a relaxing cruise on your best mate’s boat, easygoing, genuine, and full of good vibes. The highlight for me was seeing the endangered sea lions up close in their natural habitat, a humbling and unforgettable moment. Calypso Star Charters delivered a heartfelt connection to the ocean and to the spirit of Port Lincoln, highly recommended.

A bucket list item ticked off. Our sea lion tour was a great day out. We were lucky enough to have great weather, good visibility and lots of sea lion/pup activity. The sea lions are very curious and really do give you the opportunity to see them up close. The bay isn’t too deep and you can stand in most parts. We felt totally safe with Andrew and his crew.

A wonderful team and a wonderful day. Unlucky with the sharks as they didn't show up but the organisation is top ! Nice food and great people. We got to see sea lions and dolphins during the day trip which was nice as well

This company was very honest and straightforward about the present situation with great whites at the Neptune Islands. The owner Andrew was incredibly nice and even made a detour on the way back so I could see the slip of where the Rodney Fox boat was being worked on. They have a great policy with refunds and even though I didn’t get to see a great White, I still enjoyed the seafood boat tour.

We didn’t see sharks yesterday but it was still an incredible day. Everything ran like clockwork - the crew were awesome. We were surprised at how much food was provided throughout the day too. The captain was very knowledgeable and funny. It was cool getting inside the cage and experiencing what it will feel like when we do get to see a great white. On the way back we stopped to see the seals on the rocks and some dolphins swimming next to our boat. I read a review about only seeing seagull legs in the water but there was actually a lot of fish to look at and their legs paddling on the top of the water was so cute. I loved it haha. Thanks so much to the crew ❤️ can’t wait to come back!

Today my dream of diving with Great White Sharks came true. It was an unreal day and we saw 3 sharks. The crew was incredible and always made sure everyone was feeling okay and they were always helping out. I can’t recommend these guys enough and I will remember this day forever. Thank you so much!

Amazing experience! This is a must do adventure. The boat ride out to the Neptune islands was a bit long, but the entire experience was fabulous. The staff were all amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. In particular the captain, Dave, was incredibly patient and supportive helping my wife and daughter get comfortable and in the cage. Cannot recommend this highly enough! Also, get the photo package - no question about it.

My husband and I went on their great white charter while in Australia. Unfortunately we did not see any sharks but they whole experience was amazing. The crew, food, and service were great and we even managed to catch a fresh tuna. That has been the freshest sashimi I've had to date. We chose them because they were very transparent with their sighting record and had a solid no shark policy compared to other companies. The group size was perfect, giving everyone ample time inside the cage. Their suits and equipment were comfortable and in good condition. Even though we didn't see any we enjoyed our charter and highly recommend them.

Amazing experience. Yes it is pricey when you first look at it however you are on the boat the whole day (7am-6:30pm) considering the quality and range of food that is included and drinks it is well worth the price. We saw 10 sharks when we were out. Staff were very helpful. Great memories of here and would recommend for everyone to do it at least once
