A permit is required to visit. There is a website and on the beach a number to text for purchasing a permit. Amazing place to spend the day

This is a private island and you must find the contact information and pay to visit. It is worth it and it helps protect it from people who would otherwise ruin it. It is privately owned and not public land.

I have been going to STI for over 20 years. I love it, it's a sanctuary for me. Too bad so many people go there with out membership and it's quite crowded now. My favorite time is the golden hour.

Cool place. Lots of shark teeth. Go there. It's neat.

Very fun place, however, it gets busy quickly. We got there around 10:00, several boats were already there. Left around three, and between six people, we had found around 70 sharks teeth, as well as some other fossils. Highly recommend going here, but you'll need a boat to get out to the island.

Apparently this place does not want visitors. I have reached out several times and have gotten one response and the response was about as helpful as a football bat. From reading the other recent reviews, I’d find somewhere else to spend your time and money. These people are clearly lazy and do not want others on their land. Not sure why this place is so advertised as a great place to go. Whoever responds to their emails is a winner…. We are taking our family to one of the other shark tooth finding locations in the area.

Nice small island, clean with 2 basic sand volleyball court. Can be crowded quickly!!! You need to be a member to go there(season pass).

Requires an overpriced permit ($145) for the summer season. No one is allowed over in the fall / winter / spring. A zillion people swarm it with barbecue grills and tents. Years ago it was fun, now it's a crowded circus run by pathetic owners attempting to make a living doing nothing but policing their scrap of eroding land. Fossils are few and far between as it's swarmed daily. Find another place.
