Beatiful place, definitely check it out. Not only this specific scenery but all around is beatiful, the road goes around and on mountain

This is one of the best areas I have been to absolutely gorgeous with the cliffs especially for climbing the trails are all well maintained and incredibly easy to access! I will be back and am considering moving to the area bathroom 6/10 for a public bathroom on a trail it is one of the best I have seen for sure absolutely love this place

Beautiful playground for hikers, mountain biking and especially for bouldering and trad rock climbing ! This place is a world class climbing site ! There is a membership fee at Mohonk Preserve entrance and there are designated camping areas for a rustic, climbers getaway. If you don’t want to camp outdoors, I highly recommend you go to the New Paltz Youth Hostel. Very affordable and they do have private rooms.

Very pretty and well maintained trail at RnR near new paltz. For active runners trail gets super busy in later part of the day so an early start is recommended. Nearby main st offers bike rentals and many local grub spots Definitely planning a late October visit to experience fall foliage 🍁

Just feel the nature. You can do camping also but BBQ not allowed you need to call them before you come for permission. Swimming not allowed.

There are so many things to do along the Shawangunk Scenic Routes. Breweries (Angry Orchard, etc.), ice cream, cool farms big and small, endless trails and mountains and falls and rivers in sooo many different parks, B&B/motels/camping (or be fancy and pay a fortune to stay at Mohonk Reserve). You can spend days here and won't be board!

Amazing!! Everyone in earth should come here just for the scenic views. Creation at its best!! Your eyes will thank you and your heart will be forever uplifted.

Climbing here is stellar. We did High Exposure, a multi-pitch trad climb with unbelievable views.
