We ordered the family platter for three, and honestly, it was enough food for at least five people; extremely generous and well worth it. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The salad was crisp and fresh, the potatoes were perfectly cooked and stayed nice and crispy even after a 30minute drive home, which really says something. The rice was good, the chicken was cooked very well, and the garlic sauce was tasty and flavorful. The hummus was decent, I’ve had better elsewhere, but it definitely wasn’t bad. Overall, the ratings we saw on Google absolutely did not let us down. Great portions, good quality food, and a very satisfying experience. Would definitely come back.

Extremely friendly service! They made it exactly how you want which appreciates. They do not skimp on portions! The mix of fresh rice, with salty potato and savory meat offers a great balance of flavours. Will definitely be stopping by next time I’m in town!

Crazy friendly service, the owner is a local legend in Ottawa’s deep shawarma lore. Massive portions, easily comparable if not a tad bigger than what palace offers, with freshness and flavor to match the portions. I will be back for sure, highly recommend over any other place in Ottawa atm, and this is coming from a self proclaimed Ottawa shawarma expert. You owe it to yourself and the amazing staff to at least try it once!

Walked in and presented with a sample of Lentil soup. It was delicious on a windy, cold day yesterday. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food: Ordered a Mix platter and Chicken platter yesterday. It’s the best Shawarma in Ottawa. Will only eat here when in town. Substantial portions. All fresh, flavourful and delicious. I wanted to like this place so much, but it was such a letdown. I was expecting so much more after all the hype surrounding it but I guess this is my lesson to not trust the internet. The meat was very bland and dry and REALLY not enough. I got the family platter for 3 and paid $73 for what was essentially warmed salad, potatoes and rice. They put the meat separately, but put the salad and hot rice and potatoes in the same plater. By doing that, the salad got completely warm and soggy. Overall really bad experience.

Humungous amount of mixed meat shawarma, beef and chicken. Staff keep putting mountain and mountain of chicken and beef. Lots of fresh vegetables too. Chicken is moist, not dry. The chicken sandwich is big, it is medium size, with the right toast and crisp. With this amount, plate is only $22 and sandwich is $9. Best value for your money. Definitely beats any other shawarma in Ottawa.

Nearby and family had great things to say about this place and decided to give it a try. One thing is for sure O has the best Falafels specially the family owned business and this is as well proved it for us. From falafels already in the tray but as we were buying three wraps and a veggie platter the owner decided to make a fresh batch for us. The wraps couple made with a generous portion of garlic sauce and one without to make it vegan. The platter also made vegan. Both were just to the point. The freshness of the falafels, the generous toppings and the way the single pita is peeled into two and made on a single layer and wrapped again with both made the wrap so much better. The service was amazing. The interior small and brightly coloured. - very clean though. Definitely coming for some more.

I stopped by for a quick bite, inside i like the choice of colour, teal blue walls and white furniture with accents of blue and neon yellow. It reminded me of summer. It's also very clean as you can see the area they prepare food. They have deals for combos, I tried the medium chicken sandwich combo. The size of the sandwich was large, I couldn't finish it in one seating. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy chicken inside. The sandwich was not dry at all. It was very tasty, possibly better than most shawarmas I've tried in Ottawa. While waiting for the food, I was offered a complimentary lentil soup. This was warm, full of flavour. Lastly, the combo comes with potatoes, coated with seasoning these were delicious paired with the garlic sauce. Overall, staff was friendly, service was quick and prices were decent. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back to try other items.

First time visiting this amazing restaurant. Fantastic staff and the food was so delicious that I know I'll be craving it on a regular basis. Very generous with their portions which can't be said of most other restaurants out there. They truly deserve the five stars! Well done!!!

What a treat to have Al Mouna in the neighborhood. Living in the area since 1986 - we have had many restaurants come and go. Only in last few years did we get Shawarma-- and now we have several! But Al Mouna is the place for the best of the options for sure. It is owned by the same person who makes the food - and that always gives me confidence. I am stingy on giving 5 stars - but this is the local place I will come back to - because of quality and the incredibly caring and friendly service. The atmosphere is colourful, fresh and nice to eat in. I hope they do well and make a good go of it in the hood.

What a fantastic place... we called from Montreal to coordinate a meal for 15 adults and 4 children for Sunday in Ottawa for a family gathering and asked if we could PU at 10:30 (they open at 11) Muhammad was lovely and answered all my questions, 4 phone calls later! The food was great and lots of it... everyone enjoyed it very much. Thank you to everyone for making our get together so memorable. We recommend highly!

Great food. However, in line with the HST holiday, this business seems to have increased its price by $1 for a medium chicken sandwich. This means the total price with no tax and an 18% tip ($11.79) is now only $0.20 less than it was with HST and an 18% tip two weeks ago ($11.99). Love the food, but I don't like being ripped off and may not be going back.
