I spent many, many evenings in this venue back when it was Studio Arena Theater. Wonderful memories of great plays and stellar performances from big stars of stage and screen. In its heyday, Studio Arena was one of the most prestigious regional theaters in the country. When financial woes closed its doors, Shea's came to the rescue, and 710 carries on the tradition of bringing exceptional productions to its stage.
Most recently, The 3 Musketeers graced that stage, and what a good time it was! Intrigue, murder and mayhem, elaborate costumes, and sword fights! All carried out by some of the highest-caliber talent Buffalo has to offer.
If the behemoth Shea's Buffalo down the street is too overwhelming for you, 710 is a lot more "user friendly", with only about 625 seats. And the curved thrust stage brings the action right out into the audience. So if you're sitting in the front row, depending on the show, you just might get up close and personal with one of the actors.
(Oh, and a bit of history - this building once house The Palace Burlesque. If walls could talk...)
