My wife was passing by and politely requested a fork to help feed our 15 month old child. The response she received was unexpectedly dismissive a stark contrast to the welcoming atmosphere we'd expect from an establishment like this. This left her feeling shocked.
As residents of this generally friendly area, we were very disappointed. While we can't know the individual's motivation, the nature of the response made us question whether my wife's outward ethnicity played a role. The nearby bakery happily provided a metal fork without hesitation when she asked there amazing people.
We hope this feedback prompts reflection. Basic courtesy, especially towards a parent with an infant, should be a given for any reputable business.
Your response suggests that my wife was upset because there was no fork, NO.
To reiterate, it was the dismissive attitude and complete lack of kindness that shocked my wife. It costs nothing to be kind, and refusals can also be made in a polite manner.
Thank you for the offer, we have Batch Baby across the road where nobody is treated indifferent.
Thank you
