We stopped for an afternoon drink and appetizers before our later dinner reservation. Despite being busy, our server checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks were always full. We had the tacos, and they were great. I would say that if you're looking for appetizers, the selection isn’t large, but the rest of the menu looked good. I also picked up a cool hat as a souvenir.

Came by for a couple of burgers & margaritas. One was lettuce wrapped, like perfectly coned inside romaine. Haven't seen that before - very yummy! Margaritas surprised me with 1.5oz...happy surprise! Please go, such a refreshing change! Recommended!

We enjoyed the burgers and beer recommended by our server. The vibe was sophisticated, and although we didn’t have a reservation, the waitlist moved quickly and we didn’t have to wait long. Our server was excellent, super friendly and professional. He gave us a great explanation about the summer weather in Tofino, which was really kind and helpful since we’re not from the area 👍

Arrived on a rainy, cold afternoon, Shed was warm and cozy and we were seated immediately. I ordered a beer and the Boss a tea. We both ordered a Royale burger and were served within 10 minutes. A super tasty burger with fresh pickles and bacon as well as cheese and white onion. The fries were a good size and were an awesome fish and chip style, crispy outsides and fluffy insides. Had a great burger with a decent Tofino Collab. brew. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and try poke bowl.

Had one of the best burgers we’ve ever had here! Servers and staff were very nice. Reasonably priced. It’s a very lively place on a Saturday night, don’t come expecting it to be quiet! Loved it here and will be back!

Here’s my experience, walk into the shed to go for dinner. There’s not much for seating so I understand a little bit busy yet we sit up at the Bar to have dinner. I ordered a drink for me and my wife from the manager I believe as she was dressed to look like a manager. So now I ask her about my menu is this the menu for the restaurant? She says yes. I get my drinks a few minutes later. Fantastic. I’m thinking great services is gonna be fantastic. Well, oh my dear was that the mistake me thinking that things were gonna go great. As I finished my beer and my girlfriend has now drank half of her Caesar, we have noticed this manager walk by us seven times and not once looking at us almost to avoid us so she does not have to take our order. We noticed her lounging around, walking around with a couple of bowls of food, trying to find the tables for where they belong to yet watch her, walk it back to the kitchen. So then I ask a waiter. Can we get some service? Is there anyone that could help us oh it’s the bartender that’s supposed to help you. I want to remind you. We were sitting at the bar now and again we’re not big drinkers so my thoughts are around 14 minutes now while the bartender is mixing drinks going away from the bar and we’re just sitting there. So again I asked the waiter if we could get some assistance thinking well maybe just maybe he would tell someone that we’re sitting there very patiently waiting to order our dinner. I was completely mistaken that did not happen so my wife put on her jacket and we sat there till finally it was enough. I’ve had finished my drink. She had finished her drink and enough is enough. We’re not able to order food from this place. So I tell this manager. I believe you need to learn how to service the customer when they are there waiting very patiently yet she very arrogantly. I will say said to me well I did serve you your beer very fast. Once again I complained can I have the bill as we are not satisfied with the service you would think she would offer something to say she apologized, but no, she would not. She had the nerve to give the bill and then proceed for us to pay and then ask us if we want exact change back. So I’m just giving you all fair warning coming to Tofino this restaurant that might look very, very good and very busy. Might surprise you with the lack of true customer service one should have as running a restaurant and trying to serve the customer.

We're supposed to eat at the opposite resto of Shed, but we find it too boring and went to this great, cool place. We loved the drinks, it was perfect for our taste. Jade, our server, gave the best recommendation for food & drinks, and great customer service. Shed would definitely be our go to place in Tofino! 🤩

First time visit, had the recommended Chix burger which was a perfect chicken burger with not too much batter. The environment was great, staff looked like they enjoyed working there, and Gavin was great. Will be back in the future.

We really enjoyed our meals here--liked it so much the first time that we came back a second time too! There was a wait both times we went, but the wait was pretty fast. Food comes out quickly too which was a bonus especially with two kids. Good kids menu, and good food for adults too. Lots of outdoor seating with heat lamps, and indoor seating as well. Had the salmon kale bowl both times I went which had these delicious crispy puffed rice bits that added the perfect amount of crunch. Salmon was a little overdone the first time we went, but asked for it rare/medium rare the 2nd time and it was perfect. The salad was just a bit overdressed but still delicious! One kid had the little Rickie burger, which is same size as adult burger but none of the toppings. Other kid had the poke bowl which he loved, minus the seaweed. We will def be back if ever in tofino again!

Poke bowl was tasty. Ambiance was welcoming and chill. Server came to check on me a considerable amount of time. Very attentive!

Took a day drip over to Torino while staying in Ucluelet for a long weekend and found ourselves starving so we stopped at at the Shed for a nice lunch. We sat outside right next to a heat lamp that I was sure would overwhelm me with heat, but it ended up being quite nice. I ordered the poké bowl and based on the price, expected to get more food than I did. It was just enough food for the afternoon, but was a smaller dish than I was used to for the price paid. The ahi was sweet and tangy which kind of threw me off a bit. I think I was hoping for less tang and being able to taste more of the pure ahi flavor. Maybe a little more umami flavor? I don't know. It wasn't what I was hoping for. The giant mound of seaweed salad on top WAS, however, delicious and exactly what I wanted. The hubby got a burger and fries. He enjoyed the burger, in particular, the potato bun it was sandwiched in, and I quite enjoyed the few crispy fries he was willing to share with me :D Our waitress was very friendly and service was attentive and great. Overall, worth a visit if your party has a wide variety of food cravings. I dug the overall surf town vibe of this place.

It's cool burger dining. It's not fine but it's hip and simple and excellent. Service was friendly, vibe was cool. You can grab and go or eat outside or inside. Cool branding. I had the Royale burger and the Parmesan fries very good. Tried the mango martini which was good. Kids had some chicken which is also good and the tuna poke was yummy. Have wanted to go back every night since I ate there.

Amazing service! Doubly amazing food. Just go! I'll make it a must stop when we return to tofino!

Great pub vibe and the food and drinks ( happy hour ) were great. Our waiter was from Australia and was a joy to converse with !! Don't miss this spot for lunch or dinner.

Ordered the shed salad with chicken. Got one of the most tasteless meals of my life. Chicken was SO dry, for the $9 add on charge and the nearly $20 salad was nothing to write home about. Had to force myself to finish it. Lacked flavor and was way over priced. Very disappointed

Great service, great food. We always sat on the patio which has heaters and they even offer blankets if you get too cold. Inside is not my thing but outdoors is fun for people watching.

Good eats and great vibe! After a few hours walking around Tofino, this is a wonderful spot to grab a beer and burger. There can be a bit of a wait since it's not huge inside and have your vax cards available to show (and a good thing). Service was attentive and friendly, and some good tunes playing in the background. Now for the food... The chicken sando was stellar...with a great flavor, moist and crunch of the breading. I went for a side salad to be healthy with fresh green, light vinaigrette... but I had to tax some of the fries (fresh, crisp, right saltiness) from my kids meals. I can't let those really good, fresh fried spuds go to waste! I think these are better fries than Wildside Grill by the way. The spicy chicken sandwich was a hit. I can see why it recommended by the server. The poke bowl was flavorful but I'd personally stick to the handhelds. Beer selection was good and rounded out the meal. Definitely coming back the next time we're in the 'hood.

We really enjoyed the overall aesthetic and vibe of the place. Super friendly and social staff. The food was amazing! My Salmon Bowl was delicious, very creative ingredients make a great meal. My boyfriend is a huge fan of tuna poke bowls, and he was impressed with the Poke Bowl at Shed. We had been travelling all day and the Shed was a great place to sit down and eat. The bathrooms were a bit confusing, as there are no signs at the doors and the light inside the bathroom is extremely dim. I ended up walking in on someone peeing, because when you get inside and close the door, it's really hard to see the lock on the door so just keep that in mind. Otherwise, a pretty neat spot in Tofino.

Lively atmosphere with loud music. Great huge outdoor seating area in addition to indoor. Good drinks and food included a few vegetarian and gluten free options, though they could add more. Open later than other restaurants. I'd definitely return if ever in Tofino.

Really good food, king waiter, and a generally good experience. The view is also really nice and they offer a widespread variety of food.

Worst burger ever . Called , as it was pick up, to let them know. They didn't care. Will not be going back . Also zero regular domestic beer and sweet wine in a can .

This was the worst restaurant we visited on Vancouver Island. The menu was minimal, and the food wasn't anything special. The food and drinks are way overpriced and they don't even have regular pop on the menu. The patio seats were uncomfortable, and we were surrounded by wasps the entire time. Not necessarily the fault of the restaurant, but an overall bad experience. It was one of the only places open during the day in Tofino, or else we wouldn't have even stayed for the meal. The staff were friendly, but absent most of the time. I cannot recommend this place for anyone.

Our first dinner in Tofino was at The Shed. Everything was delightful: the servers, the varied food choices, the patio, the local beer. It was all outstanding!

Shed is an excellent casual place with indoor and outdoor seating and a fun vibe. The salmon salad is amazing and the burgers tasty. If you are in Tofino you must eat there at least once, possibly a couple of times.

A fun atmosphere, great service and interesting tasty offerings from their menu. Their perogies are the most unusual (and delicious) I've eaten, salads are huge with lots of variety in them, and the burgers are delicious! Definitely a casual vibe but a delight overall. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, fun vibe, solid food. Enjoyed sitting in the "shed" side while it was raining because the raindrops click on the roof while outdoor heaters keep you warm. Veggie burger is good (nice flavor / texture) if you're vegetarian.

Really solid kitchen in this iteration of the chain. Get there immediately before the noon opening to outfox the crowds (they absolutely won't let you in the resto a minute early--they just go about their business getting ready and pretend not to see you until exactly 12 noon). Seating near or adjacent to the patio is a great way to enjoy an afternoon in Tofino. Friendly young servers. Fun time.

Freakin' awesome is all I have to say!!! Well....a bit more to tell you how great this place is. Shed looked really busy the last few times we went by so we decided to give it a try. Patio looks great and so is the inside - small but welcoming. Very clean! Staff were super friendly, quick, and attentive. Our meal came out light speed fast and was absolutely delicious. I went for the tuna burger and was blown away. Family had the chicken burger and regular burgers and they had high marks too. We also had the deep fried pickles ("Britney's Spears"....LOL) and they were great. Nice light batter. Great stop!! We will be back for sure the next time we're in Tofino!!

By far one of the best burgers I've ever had! The food was great, views were awesome and the waitress was great also! This was a great place to unwind and enjoy some local food during our stay and I would 100% eat here again!

Looking for a patio to have a beer on and found The Shed. Intially my group only planned to have a couple appetizers with beer however when we saw the menu we decided to order full meals. I had the tuna tempura, really yummy, the batter was light and maintained crispyness. It was cooked through - which I preffered, but if you want it rare probably need to ask. My friend had the chixx sandwich, also nice and crispy with lots of tangy pickles that balanced the richness of the mayo. Sanwiches come on tasty brioche style buns. The Shed beer was nice too

Best burgers in Tofino (not that I've tried everywhere, but this will be hard to beat). Popular spot especially on a Friday night but even with seating limited to outdoors, we only waited 15 min for a table for 2. Their house beer is awesome- kind of a mix between a lager and pale ale. I had the royale burger. It was cooked perfectly and comes on a soft brioche bun. The burgers are not huge, but they are packed with flavour. The fries were also cooked well and seasoned appropriately. My husband had the poke bowl which may look a little small but it was very filling and had a lot of tuna. We will definitely come back here again next time we are in Tofino, and maybe even once more before we leave this time!

This place is alright. They've scaled back their menu for some reason, so basically only serve burgers, a couple salads, and a poke bowl. Dissapointing since it looks like they used to have a much bigger and better menu (including breakfast) based on the photos on Yelp. I had a burger, which arrived cold. Literally cold. It's because the meat patties are exceptionally thin (think McDonalds thickness), and all of the cold veggies suck the heat right out of the meat? I read another review about cold burgers, and thought they were just being negative, but apparently not! The fries were good though, and the Caesars were great (except they ran out of garnish, which we found weird given that we were the first customers of the day). My dining partners poke bowl was good - I'll try that next time.

There was a line when we arrived, so we picked up some burgers and fries from the take out window, drove to the beach and ate them there. Super quick service, and the food was still hot when we got to the beach. Enjoyed the food!

We parked our truck. Had no plans of where to eat but alot of places were closed on a Tuesday in may but we stumbled across Shed, had no idea what it was but we were Totally blown away by this place! There was no hard ciders on tap which is my choice of drink but I got the ceaser and it was delicious! Then we chose the chicken lettuce wraps and they were to die for. Then we had the tempura tuna burger and the chix burger both were amazing. Not too huge which we actually prefer. The buns were so soft and held together even with the amazing sauces. The fries were great !! They have tons of napkins at the table. The cutest menus. The most adorable looks like added on section which we sat in. In summer it looks like the windows can all slide open and a big door opens for more air.. it was rainy today and no outdoor seating but they have it and lots of heaters for when it's a nice day! They had a heater going for customers that wait outside to be seated. Everything on the menu sounded really good. We might go back tomorrow to try something else and get those lettuce wraps again!! Thank you for being open and awesome! I think they have a takeout window too on the side of building and u can order online on the website it said. If they had delivery I would have it delivered to my campsite for dinner even though we just ate there for lunch! Lol and did I mention the service was awesome? And quick food! But I can imagine this place gets busy at prime times. We went at an off time and got right in!

Cute restaurant with a great patio. We had a drink here and there buttermilk fried pickles. The other food items around us looked great. Good service and great atmosphere.

for our last lunch before leaving tofino, had to try this place which came highly recommended by a friend. immediately service was spot on. despite our big group which included kids, the staff had no qualms in seating us and making sure we were taken care of. of course i had to order the special of the house which was The Shed burger and its little brother Ricky Burger. daughter had the belgian waffles with whipped cream. oh yeah! the burger delivered as promised. juicy and succulent, the bun was a brioche one and was warmed up nicely, making it so soft and moist. the fries were just ok. some were soggy and fried a but too long, but at least seasoned well. There in-house beer was awesome. nice lager, smooth and crisp, similar to the lager from tofino brewing co. the waffles were average. nothing to rave about. presented nicely but nothing special about them. compared to most brunch places, the waffles were kinda small and flat. not fluffy enough to be considered belgian. a must visit when you come to tofino. ambiance very casual and welcoming, like a neighbourhood joint. cheers! happy eating!

We thought we were getting a typical burger and beer place, however the burger was truly amazing and the side salad did not disappoint. Our server was so friendly and prompt . We will be returning here

The hostess showed us to a table and then we sat for half an hour and no server stopped by to ask for our drink order or food order. Finally we just walked out. A laid back style is OK but the staff here are just downright lazy. Chatting, laughing, happy are all great; but you need to serve the customers now and then. None of the tables around us had food either, though one of them had been served drinks. The owner needs to shake things up a bit.

Overrated, I expected more with the good reviews. The burger was mediocre and cold - both the bun and the burger were not hot. The bun could've been toasted more. The fries were tasty as well as the chicken nuggets (real chicken) but again, I expected much more with the glowing reviews.

We had late lunch here after a morning of hiking in the the cold and rain, and fell in love with its warm and cozy atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff. The place was still busy and they were unable to seat us, a group of 8, in one table. Instead, they offered two options for us to either sit together in the bar or split into two tables of four in the heated and enclosed patio; and we took the second option, which was more comfortable. The menu is limited but offers comfort food of both West coast and Asian varieties. We ordered a salmon and kale salad bowl and an Indonesian chicken soup with egg noodles & a 6 minute egg. Both dishes were delectable, exceeding our expectations, with fresh ingredients and balanced tastes. For me, this place is worth 5 stars for its food and value, and a 4.5 for its service; hence, it's highly recommended.

8 year twice during our state and Tofino truly amazing grace. Friendly staff. They have a list of craft beer that's all local. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced compared to other places

Service - I was hungry after a long day of work. Decided to get some dinner from Shed at their take out window. As I was waiting in line, I noticed the women taking orders was horribly rude to customers. I walked up to the window, and was greeted by her saying "What do you need" in a very rude tone. She was yelling and frankly, being disrespectful to customers. Everyone around the window was looking at each other and appalled by her customer service. Food - The fries were soggy, in all honestly, they tasted like microwaved leftovers. The rest of my dinner was delicious and the flavours were great. Overall Experience - The takeout window works great. Easy to use. Nice bright menu to view as well. Great food options. Customer service definitely needs work though.

I don't think I've ever had a more disappointing breakfast, if you like a soggy hamburger bun breakfast sandwich this is the place for you. bar none one of if not the worst breakfast ever! having a new occurring audience every week is the only thing keeping places like this open

The burgers here were delicious and were perfect after a day of exploring. We got the Shed burger and Royale and both were great!

burger was bang'n. Only get fries if you're staying in, the take out packaging lacks in keeping the food warm (they were cold by the time we got back to our hotel which was 5 minutes away). Only viable complaint was they forgot my dipping sauce after I specifically confirmed with the waitress 2 times. All in all, next time I'm feelin a good burger shed will definitely be in mind.

Stoped in for dinner last night and order the royal burger and it was the best burger I have had in years you could taste everything in the burger it was poping with flavour highly recommended and are server was the nicest guy by far the best Service I've ever had he was always there

Awesome patio, excellent service and wicked good food and drinks. Husband had the tuna poke bowl and it was sooo good. I had the tempura tuna burger with fries. Fries were a bit cold, only complaint. Try the blood orange margarita!

Shed has a nice aesthetic interior and patio. We came in for a late lunch at 1 and they were quite busy but the service was fast. We ordered the chic burger and the pachamama bowl with seared tuna add-on. The burgers aren't too large but they're definitely enough. I really liked the chix burger, the chicken wasn't dry! The pachamama bowl was also really good with a variety of diff veggies! This was my favorite meal in Tofino.

We actually found this place for breakfast by mistake. There was no breakfast pics on Yelp and we settled we would try it for lunch. But we were happy to find they serve breakfast till 11:30am. Plus it was an awesome breakfast! I'll attach some pictures as well as menu shots too.

Got take away here, the Poke bowl was delicious and the service was fast. Definitely would recommend checking this place out!

Nice patio. Chicken burger was just okay but the tuna burger was fantastic!!! We had two servers, the first was attentive and friendly but the second was a grump. If we had the first server throughout I would have given them 4 stars.
