Sheedy's Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

Stayed in Sheedys for 2 nights in September for Lisdoonvarna festival. This hotel is a gem & I would have no hesitation in recommending it . The evening dinner was amazing & the breakfast was outstanding, from real tea leaves in a pot to whiskey porridge ,beautiful pancakes & home made brown bread it was a real treat from start to finish. The weather was miserable but a homely fire was waiting for us. Well done Martina & John.

What a wonderful place to spend two nights! We were with a cycling group and stayed at this beautiful, cozy hotel! Upon arrival, we were greeted with such friendly, helpful people! Our room and bed were so comfortable and our breakfasts and dinners were incredibly delicious! Staying at Sheedy's was an amazing experience and a great way to start our cycling tour! The staff couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful and they went out of their ways to give us a wonderful experience!

Myself and my partner had an absolutely wonderful two night stay at Sheedy's. Martina was was lovely host and John cooked the most amazing food.||After having dinner the first night, it was so good we booked in again for the second night. Each night the food served was delicious and a real treat.||Breakfast each morning was a real treat with all the different options available, all prepared freshly. One of the best breakfasts you'll find in any hotel.||The room was spacious, warm and quiet. Had a great nights sleep each night.||When we are back in the area again, it will definitely be top of my list for returning too.||Thanks to Martina, John and all the staff at Sheedy's.

What more can be said - I endorse all the 5 star reviews for Sheedy's. My wife and I enjoyed 2 nights of food and hospitality here. Martina was welcoming and could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a warm shower. The food was superb, a good variety and outstanding quality. This was the best experience of the 5 hotels we stayed in during our visit to Ireland. We would go back to Ireland just to stay here and enjoy it all again.

We did a VBT Ireland (Vermont Bicycles Tour) trip, riding for 6 days along the Wild Atlantic Way from Galway North to Connemara. Our favorite hotel was Sheedy's in Lisdoonvarna, Ireland. The hotel is family owned and operated by Martina and John Sheedy and the hotel reflected Martina and John's pride in their hotel with beautiful planted flower and shrub gardens and clean, comfortable guest rooms. We enjoyed a first evening wine and snacks in the cozy bar, then treated to exceptional breakfasts and dinners by John's scrumptious and creative cuisine. My husband commented that he had his first taste of porridge with whiskey for breakfast! The wholemeal treacle bread was the best bread I've eaten, and I bake bread! Tea, coffee and biscuits were available all day and evening and we relaxed on the enclosed porch with a lovely views of the grounds. The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating, the meals fantastic, and the hotel had an open, airy and warm ambience. We highly recommend you stay here if ever you are in Lisdoonvara. Visit the Burren, which was our first biking experience on the tour. Returning after our ride and Burren experience to the comfort and great food at Sheedy's made the day perfect.

Had a wonderful stay at Sheedy’s Hotel. Martina and the entire team made our time exceptional and special! They went above and beyond in our accommodations and we couldn’t have had a more pleasant time. The breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend!!! Thank you again!

Our Hostess Martina was the most gracious host I've had the pleasure to stay with. Her hospitality was perfection. I swear the bed linens were dried out in the sunshine. She helped us acquire a great taxi driver, Peter, who delivered us completely and safely to Galway Bay for our boat tour bright and early the next morning ( with a light and a perfect nibble for breakfast left for us before we left.) Peter was a treasure and gave me perfect advice for our next day's driving adventure. Chef John is amazing. I could eat every meal every day of my life here and still crave more. Breakfast was truly delightful. Oh those apricots. The lamb, and the braised sheep's belly was out of this world.....truly a labor of love as Martina stated. The sticky toffee pudding here was exactly as I imagined it should be.....what a meal. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Stayed at Sheedy's two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were big, nice, and well-appointed and the location is beautiful. What made our stay even nicer, however, was the exceptional staff and the amazing food. Everyone we met was very friendly and professional. We were with a large group and we all agreed that everything we ate was fantastic. I want to go back just for the potatoes alone. :)
