Shehzade Korkut Mosque

MashAllah a great masjid in Old Town Antalya, considered an historical landmark, like a museum, reopened for worship on March 5, 2021—marking the first time in 126 years that prayers were held there

It was quiet an experience to enter this mosque especially after finding out that the mosque was first a roman temple, then turned into a church, then a mosque, then again a church, and finally a mosque. Keep in mind - the mosque is closed on friday for friday prayers.

Astounding historical building, which has been completely restored to its glory. I am left speechless due to it's wonderful nature.

Visited the masjid for Friday prayers. The Imam was very welcoming, the mosque ambience and architecture blew me away Ma Sha Allah. Congregation was perfect Alhamdulillah. Not too busy highly recommended will visit again In Sha Allah

A beautiful and tragic historical monument, razed by fire but restored again and again, a building that has served as a temple, church and a mosque. The spiritual energy of the place is palpable the moment you walk in and having the opportunity to pray within it's walls was a privilege. Their use of glass floors to showcase the ruins and artifacts beneath the otherwise beautifully carpeted floors was a great touch.

As a site of ruins it was interesting. Now another temple with unnecessary expanses.

Beautiful mosque! Went to say Dhur prayer as 100m from our hotel. Discovered historical place. Good that they are attempting to preserve the history.

The Şehzade Korkut Mosque, located in the historic city center of the southern resort city of Antalya, is nearing its long-awaited reopening as restoration. The Mosque is top of the art piece of old Turkish construction. The damaged portion of the Mosque have been repaired skillfully. It is worth visiting to study history of Muslims.
