This was the highlight of our Vermont trip! While I recommend the 90 minute tour if you have limited time or if you have little ones, the walk through the property was one of my favorite hikes ever! We saw farm animals, the barn was gorgeous, the Inn was stunning, and the views of the lake were some of my favorite water views ever. Highly recommend!!

Google
We took the Sun to Cheese Tour. Such a fun experience! We were pulled on a wooden wagon by a farm truck and it took us all over the beautiful property to view the fabulous buildings, including Vanderbilt’s former mansion! We also got to see the cows up close, learn how they’re milked, and then taste some amazing cheeses made right on the farm. Super friendly guides, delicious samples, and a really cool look at the process from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Google
Such a lovely farm! All the staff were warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable. Visiting here was a highlight of our trip! I loved seeing the animals and walking around the farm. The bakery was so amazing we had to come back after our hotel accident lly threw out some of the bread we bought.

Google
This is a beautiful place filled with natural beauty and farm animals. You can learn about the cheese making process, see baby animals and walk about the farm animals. There is a bakery that has delicious fresh baked breads. This is a great spot for families and young children. Check out their events and have fun!

Google
Totally worth a visit!! You can purchase tours (book ahead because they do get sold out) or do your own thing for free! Dress appropriately to take the trails to the water! We unfortunately didn't have the time to walk there but the pictures looked amazing! There is a free shuttle that takes you to the barn (unfortunately not to the water tho) which is also a short hike if you would rather walk. It was so fun and interesting to learn about their cheddar making process with a glass wall that allows you to watch the cheese makers during the day and interactive activities for both adults and kids. The animals are adorable and friendly and there are daily farm demonstrations throughout the day where you can meet an animal or get some insight on wool collection or cheese making. The bakery has fresh bread, there's a cafe where you can get lunch and there's plenty of outdoor seating around the super gorgeous restored barn building. Definitely plan to spend at least a half day walking the grounds, learning about animals, cheese and trees.

Google
A favorite place to visit for quiet walking and taking photos. Great views of the lake. I go every June to enjoy the peony and rose garden. Grateful that the grounds are open to the public. Wish I could afford a night at the inn. Its fantastic.

Google
Really nice place to go for a walk in Burlington. You can do nice walking loop trails, see a barn where you can pet animals, taste cheddar cheese that is produced there and buy some fresh bread from their bakery. The entrance is free, but you can do guided tours to the house when available.

Google
Highlight of our Vermont vacation! Started the day with the farm tour, where we got to learn about the mission and history of the farm. After, we went on the walking trails and explored the property. “Sheep’s knoll” was a breathtaking spot! The garden at the inn was beautiful- peonies were in full bloom at the time of our trip (early/mid June). Every bit of the trail offered a new perspective of the Vermont landscape! At the end of our stroll, we stopped at the farm shop and enjoyed some “tractor” cheese, strawberries, and bread. All were amazing! This is a MUST do while visiting Vermont.

Yelp
My wife and I, visiting from Utah, were amazed by the stunning, serene grounds--worth a visit for the beauty alone! We were excited to try the "world-class" grilled cheese sandwiches at the food cart, as recommended. Arrived just before 3 PM closing, with only one couple ahead of us in line. They were served, but at 2:59, we were brusquely turned away with no courtesy, despite being in line before closing. Left hungry and disappointed.

Yelp
Had a super time walking around Shelburne Farms' beautiful immense grounds and also perusing their market store with its assortment of products straight from their working farm - from fresh cheese, meats and baked goods to furniture, wool yarns and sheep skins. The grounds go down to Lake Champlain, including where the adjacent Inn and Flower Garden are. Some of the walking paths criss-cross the maple syrup tapping lines. Fun to see and pet their cows plus the big Farm Barn, where the independent organic O Bread Bakery* and Beeken/Parsons furniture maker both operate. (* See separate review.) Although our visit was on an early December Sunday, there's apparently more going on from Spring on and over Summer. Would recommend stopping by Shelburne Farms any time, especially great for kids!

Yelp
First time visitor to Vermont and we stopped here on our way to Burlington - and it was totally worth it! We spent half a day and could easily have spent the full day. Highly recommend the 1.5 hour around the Fields - very informative history about the area and property, gorgeous fields to traverse, a nice barn with animals at the end, and some delightful cheddar cheese made at the Farms. They also have a nice bakery (got fresh bread there for lunch to go with the cheddar) and syrups/jams/goods from local farms.

Yelp
Amazing farm with miles of beautiful walking trails, interactive exhibits, and products that are so good it's worthy of a trip of its own. Cost to enter is free! Tractor can pick you up at the parking lot or you can walk the 1/3 mile to the farm house. We opted to walk and it was so nice walking thru the acres of rolling hills dotted with trees, wild flowers, and a few dairy cows. Words alone do not do this place justice, so you will just have to make this a destination if you're in the Burlington area.
google avatar

Yelp
A great farm to visit with a lot of walking trails and interactive sessions (meet a cheesemaker, milk a cow, farm chores, etc)! The trails go around the property and we walked about 5 miles that day. There's also a farm store near the parking lot to buy produce and cheese. I was mainly here for the cheese and loved their 6 month aged one!

Lauren B.

Yelp
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went last year and it was fantastic. This year, we were told we could not get a pass to drive down to the inn (even though we paid and got one last year) and the lady working was very rude. Unless you are able to walk far distances do not go because they won't give you a pass!
google avatar

Yelp
Shelburne farms is a gem! We walked and ran the trails on the property that cover 10+ miles... this place is so serene and peaceful... has a little bit of everything, from forest to lake views to the barn and cheese tours. It wasn't crowded at all when we went which added to the peacefulness of the rolling green pastures and herds of cows!
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous place for all ages. Beautiful trails with scenic walks of all lengths. Working farm which would be great for kids. We came here after the famous Shelburne museum. The attached store is small but has items from the farm - veggies/cheese, etc. Take the time to check it out. We are glad we did. And you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Alanna B.

Yelp
If you are ready to walk, then this is the spot. The public is not allowed to drive unless you are staying on the property. You can walk to the Barn to get some fresh bread and cookies and then walk the calories off back to the welcome center. It is primarily a hiking area. If you do not want to walk, don't waste your time. There is no cost to walk. Grab a map in the Welcome Center and enjoy the day. Be mindful of the bathroom locations on the map as they are not always readily available on the walk and you cannot use any buildings. We spent almost 2 hrs. of walking and was very enjoyable.

Yelp
We came on a Friday to do the Sun to Cheese tour and it was pretty amazing. We stopped in the store/welcome center first to have a look around. It was also the meeting spot for the start of our tour. Pricing is a bit high but there are quality items in here so it may be worth the splurge to you. There are some caramels at the register. I recommend buying all the chai ones you can see. I wish I did that. We were guided around the property on a covered wagon to see the cheesemaking process and to visit the cows that provide the milk for the cheese. We also were taken to various spots on the property to get to know its history and its potential future. Sandi was our guide and she was just lovely and super knowledgeable. The cheese here is quite good and worth taking some home. After our tour, we decided to take our car onto property (contrary to what another reviewer said, we were allowed as non-staying guests and it's free) to visit the bakery and the inn a little bit closer. We bought some cookies and brioche from the bakery. That cardamom ginger brioche is so soft and sweet. We ate it as dessert. The inn is gorgeous. Sandi told us that 75% of the furnishings are original and man if that's true this place is a treasure. The ground and gardens are quite beautiful with Lake Champlain as a lovely background. Two of the people on our tour were repeats they love Shelburne Farms that much and I understand why. Friendly, informative and lots to do, especially if you have kiddos.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful farm. I expected the farm store to be bigger and more selection of goods to bring, but it is small. I ended up only getting their jam for $7.50. We took the North Gate trail and rewarded us with this breath taking lake, Lake Champlain. Water was crystal clear and blue. The weather was beautiful to just sit and take it in. Kids played skipping rocks at the lake while I just sat and enjoyed the lake. It was quite a long trail but an easy one. We dropped by the farm to see some farm animals. I am glad we made it to this farm thus time.

Yelp
Beautiful farm. Small store with Vt. Made items. The barn is stunning. There's 10 miles of hiking, plus you can drive through. Many events throughout the year. Check the calendar frequently. Definitely take time to drive through, then walk the farm. Parts of it goes along Lake Champlain.
google avatar

Yelp
Adorable farm animals, cute sheep goat and pigs. Beautiful land. Great cheese. Definitely worth a stop! Meet the cheese makers pet the animals and hit the gift store

Yelp
Shelburne Farms was a nice and unique place to visit just outside of Burlington, Vermont. I wanted to primarily stop to visit the store to get some maple syrup, but wound up spending a little time exploring the farm property too. There wasn't much going on at the farm since I visited shortly before they closed, so I didn't get the close up experience with animals others have reviewed, but did visit a lone cow calf to say hi and take some excellent waterfront pictures on Lake Champlain. The service in the shop was friendly and there was no fee to visit the property when I visited. Prices were on the high side in the shop, but the cost for maple syrup were in line with several of the other shops I visited in Vermont. It was a nice stop for visiting, but probably not a place I'd recommend to visit unless spending a few days in the Burlington area and you had free time to kill.
google avatar

Gabrielle V.

Yelp
Came on a weekend- no cost to the trails currently. Was nice to walk around and see all the animals at the barn. Also got to watch part of the cheesemaking process and one of the cheesemakers came out to answer questions and walk us through the process even though it wasn't one of the days for Meet the Cheesemaker, which was nice. The store has been converted to walk up only. I do wish there were smaller packages of cheese since there aren't any tastings currently. The bakery on premises was great as well. All of the staff we met from the person running the info desk, to the store clerks and the cheese maker were really nice. Overall a great place to hike. You can also tell the animals are well cared for which is great.

Yelp
Shelburne Farms is magical. First of all, it's pretty cheap to get in. It's less than $10 per person to spend an entire day here. Once you get your ticket, you can walk to the farm or get transported by a tractor. Since the property is HUGE, I'd wait to be transported. Once you're at the massive historic farm that looks more like a castle, you'll be entertained for hours. They have chickens, rabbits, cows, donkeys, horses, sheep...so many animals that you can pet. They have programming throughout the day. Our daughter loved the chicken egg hunting! There's a farm-to-table food truck there every day serving burgers, sandwiches, etc. In the back of the property is the inn, which is beautiful. There's a general store at the entrance/exit that sells jams, honey, and cheese. THE CHEESE! It is AMAZING! Eat all the free samples plus more.

Barbara F.

Yelp
Would love to return! So many things to see and lovely grounds. We only had an hour til they closed-could spend at least a half day here.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful! Gorgeous farm. You can walk out to the Farm house. Wonderful relaxing walk with fabulous views. The farm store is cool too with plenty of fresh veggies and goodies. We got some fresh chocolate chip cookies and they were awesome!
google avatar

Kaelen W.

Yelp
I loved the service here at the farm because the staff were very friendly and nice and the staff are very experienced in what they do at the farm. The farm admission is always free and parking is also free. The animals here at the farm were so nice and friendly. The food at the farm was amazing because when I ordered Mac and Cheese, the taste was so good. The root beer at the food truck was the best drink I ever had in my life. At the bakery, the desserts were so good and delicious. My favourite cookie there is the chocolate chip cookie. The trails are very fun because of the nature and there are a lot of cool gardens here and some other cool exhibits. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I highly encourage you to visit Shelburne Farms.

Yelp
I went to Shelburne Farms on a whim on a hot summer day. The navigation was very easy and every staff member was very warm, kind and friendly. While the experience itself was nice enough, I was disappointed. I am a vegan, so I was going in apprehensive at best. I was not aware their animals are also used for meat so that was a turn off, immediately. In addition to this, my boyfriend and I ran out of stuff to do within 30 minutes. We saw some sweet goats, one calf, one cow, two sheep, all of which were sitting in hot small spaces. Overall, I made my bed by visiting an animal farm while being a vegan. However, there was generally little to do or see.

George K.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Worth it. 100% you should go. Milk a cow, pet a sheep, take a walk through a forest, watch cheese being made, buy some fresh baked bread, and take in the beautiful farm house.

Haylie Y.

Yelp
AMAZING!! I went here and it was the best experience. It was 100 times better than a zoo and get this, IT'S FREE!! I got to walk baby lambs on a leash and it was so adorable. I also got to feed baby goats and it was so cute. And there is a tractor to take you up all the way if you don't want to walk. I would come here everyday if I lived closer. That's not all we did there, we did so much more. I LOVE THIS PLACEEEE
google avatar

Ace R.

Yelp
This is a amazing. Take the tour it's 100% worth it. Our guide was very informative. Plus you get to pet baby cows and if that's not worth 5 stars I don't know what is

Yelp
There aren't enough adjectives to describe the splendor and amazingness of this gorgeous farm. If you're in the area I do not miss this! Gorgeous views, beautiful rolling hills, trees, butting up against Lake Champlain, and depending on what time of year or season the landscape changes all of them beautiful. Sleigh rides, hayrides, hiking, biking, picnics, horses, cows, & delicious cheese & dairy all organic and made and sold here. Definitely check out the store and get some things to go. Highly recommended! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
We stopped in to see the farm, which was recommended by a local. They don't open for the season until May, but the gift shop was open and we were told we could wander the trail outside if we liked. It was a bit rainy so we didn't get far, but we noticed a lot of cars going up and down the adjacent dirt road. We figured we'd ride up and check out the Inn (since we weren't told we couldn't!) After winding along the road and seeing different farm buildings and the lovely scenery of this acreage, we came upon the shore of Lake Champlain, with the backdrop of mountains shrouded in fog. So beautiful now, but we could only imagine how much more so on a clear, warm day. The Inn itself sits on a rise, providing gorgeous views. It's now being readied for the season, and I can imagine many lovely weddings taking place here. Would love to return to take it all in on a summer day!

Yelp
I've heard a lot about Shelburne Farms over the years from other friends who live in the area, and since it was officially the first weekend of fall this year, decided to check it out. The farm itself is quite large, with many miles of hiking trails that are mostly flat and clearly laid out--making it a great place to just walk around. The farm store at the welcome center (I enjoyed a chef's salad so also had the opportunity to sample the farm's delicious cheese), the bakery in the farm barn (in and of itself an interesting and beautiful building), and the inn & public gardens overlooking a beautiful view of Lake Champlain--it's a wonderful place to visit.
google avatar

Jay G.

Yelp
Suck a nice place to visit. my wife and I came during off-peak season and still had a magical time. The grounds transport you centuries into the past. Grab your map and Explore the entire farm. Discover the tree taps in the forest areas to find out how syrup is made. Plenty of places for some amazing photos and lots to do for parents bringing the children, just make sure you come during peak season.
google avatar

Susie T.

Yelp
A lovely farm that has been renovated to be a must see destination spot in Vermont! The general admission will get you into the 10 mile hiking trail available and the main farm barns. As you enter the parking lot, pay at the information booth outside of the welcome center. There is a gift shop fill with cheese, merchandise and maple syrup at the welcome center. Take a quick walk to the farm barn or take the complimentary tractor ride. The farm barn is split into three parts: the barn of animals, cheese making process and bread making. There is a little food cart at the top of the hill too if you get hungry. Take a .5 mile hike on the lone trail to get a beautiful view of the Shelburne water. This is a great place for kids and family alike! Very beautifully renovated farm with spectacular views!
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Our favorite place to visit in Vermont. It's stunning, educational, interactive and perfectly exemplifies all that is wonderful about Vermont. I've been here several times, even for a wedding, and it's always a magical experience. Rolling green hills, historic structures, nature walks, wood shop, kids camps, museum with visiting exhibitions, the massive Ticonderoga ship, and my favorite farm with cows, calfs, sheep, chickens, pigs, rabbits, oh my! *Note: the farm is separate from the museum just down the road. You can easily do both in one day or split up the two trips for more time at each location. You can take a trailer ride to the farm or take a short 15 minute nature walk. Just stay left on the trail to cut through and avoid the road. A cute farm stand serves lunch items direct from the farm. A schedule of events is posted, so you don't miss the cow milking or feedings or sheep brushing.

Katy R.

Yelp
Lots of great exhibits and opportunities to be amazed. Thoroughly enjoyed our rainy day in the Burlington area.

Kristy S.

Yelp
Lots of fun on a rainy day! We weren't sure what to do with our toddler on a rainy morning- Shelburne Farm had a great answer :) we spent probably a solid 2 hours in the children's barn, meeting the animals and playing. Great experience- highly recommend!
google avatar

Katya P.

Yelp
If you're looking for things to do around the Burlington area, this is a great place to visit! I'm from Montreal and come down to Vermont every so often, I'm always astounded by the beautiful sights the green mountain state has to offer and Shelburne Farms is no exception. Strongly recommend taking the tractor tour, the hour and a half ride takes you near the Lake Champlain, shows you around the dairy farm and inside the Inn and courtyard for a breathtaking experience. This national historic site is no stranger to weddings, fundraisers and receptions. If you want to book a room or dinner, consider at least a month wait! There are over 10 miles of hiking trails but if you want more of a relaxing experience, the tour will take you everywhere you need to see. Although there were mostly senior citizens on our tour, the farm is fun for all ages. We noticed many school buses with children from summer camps as well. We visited the Children's Farmyard on our own, they have scheduled activities such as cow/goat milking and egg picking and every day from 10 to 3 pm you can see their making of cheddar cheese. One of the first things our tour guide mentionned was that there is something "magical" about Shelburne Farms and that's really the word that stuck with me throughout our trip.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
A must visit! - Hayride - Cute Animals - Bakery with fresh breads and treats - Beautiful grounds - Tasty cheese samples - Market full of goodies What more could you want!
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
We spent about 3 hours on the Children's Farm, and there was so much to do and see. I have an exceptionally high energy child. Grown ups can often be frustrated by his running, blurring out questions/answers, and need for continual reminders about rules. The farmers and educators here were, without exception, absolutely amazing with him. They engaged his curiosity and allowed him to be super involved with all of the events. This warmed my heart to no end. Hands on education at its best, with so many opportunities for people (children and adults) to interact with the farm. I would love to go back and explore the rest of what this farm has to offer.
google avatar

Colleen T.

Yelp
Skip the $16 admission fee for two, go straight to the Farm Store, and grab picnic goods for lunch and take a walk around the neighborhood! (That's what we did!). I traveled to Burlington, VT as a post graduate celebration (I got my PhD!). Shelburne Farms was recommended to us, but we didn't know we had to pay $8 a person to see the grounds (which includes walking a mile, eating at the Farm Stand, and going to the bread shop). Paying $16 for a walk for two was a little much for us as students. Instead of paying for admission, we we walked straight into the Farm Store and made ourselves a lovely picnic! They offer an $8.50 cooler bag and ice pack which was perfect. We bought two blocks of aged cheddar, raspberry jam, maple syrup, and maple candies! We then drove to Klinger's Bread Company (which is 5-10 minutes away) and picked up bread, and then drove right back to the neighborhood Shelburne farms is located. We ate at a local little waterfront park inlet in the neighborhood, where folks were fishing and relaxing. So beautiful and fun! A perfect end to our road trip.
google avatar

Brianna S.

Yelp
I wish the cheeses came in smaller portions than 1/2lb. I wasn't able to try any cheese since we are traveling. It's a lot of walking since the shuttle isn't running. It was very pretty though and not too far of a walk to the barn
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
I love this place. It's one of my favorite spots in Vermont. It's like going back in time to the 1800s with open farm fields. At the same time the buildings are elegant and grand. This is a wonderful spot to bring young children to see farm animals like chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, donkeys and goats. Loads of sweetness and charm.
google avatar

Jb B.

Yelp
We were very disappointed with our visit here. My older sister was with us, and she can only walk shorter distances. We visited the store beside the parking lot, then found out the barn (the main attraction) is a 3/4 mile walk away. A 1/4 mile would have been a long walk for my sister. They have a shuttle running from the parking lot/store during summer months. But it ends I believe right after Labor Day. We were there first day of October, so no shuttle. I was really looking forward to seeing the barn and how they make their products. But 3/4 mile was just too much walking for my sister, and I would think any number of other older folks as well. Since fall leaves are the big attraction in the area, it seems the shuttle service would continue through October. They are losing a good bit of profit by not running that shuttle. And disappointing at least this part of the public as well. If you don't want to (or aren't able to) do a lot of walking, then a different orchard would be a better choice for the fall.
google avatar

Yelp
I'll be honest. My husband and I stopped here for one reason only: CHEESE. We purchased a few of their cheese at the Burlington farmers market during a visit to Vermont last year. After the cheese was gone, we immediatly regretted not buying more and vowed that if we went back to Vermont, we would get more of their cheese. And we did. A LOT. This stuff is legit. The smoked cheddar? AMAZING! I know Cabot says they make the world's best Cheddar but my husband disagrees and says that Shelburne Farms does. And I agree with him. Oh, and the woman ringing up our massive cheese order was nice too. Great cheese and great customer service!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Probably a great place for kids to explore. As an adult, there wasn't too much to it. I enjoyed the huge estate with the Farm House in the center and the nice hike up One Tree Hill to see the views. The workers (farmers) are very friendly and welcoming. They have a tractor train that takes you out to the farm if you don't wish to walk the 3/4 miles or in bad weather. The farm house has a great cheese making educational experience with free tasting of the different aging of cheeses. You can view and pet cows, goats, and sheep. And they have a chicken coop with free range chickens and roosters to checkout. Thy have some varieties of rabbits and llamas to view and some pigs, turkeys and donkeys that I saw. There is a bread baker on site that makes fresh breads and treats on site.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
My only experience was with the farm store as I was limited on time. I was told this is one of the key destinations in the Burlington area so I had to pop my head in before heading out of town. Please note that I grew up on a farm and an generally a sucker for anything that deals with agritourism. The main purpose of my visit was to snag a Vermont food product souvineer and sample the farm's cheese. The store offered an assortment of items perfect to take home including syrup, recipe books, cheese, Lake Champlain chocolate, tea and so on. I ended up going home with the Vermont Chai and syrup candies. Items were unsurprisingly on the pricey side. As for the cheese, the older and stinkier, the better. You could probably peruse the entirety of the shop in around 15 minutes. It's worth a visit if you find yourself at the farm.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
I've been coming to Vermont for 25 years and never took the time to visit Shelburne Farms. I pictured a stinky farm with cows and chickens. I couldn't have been more wrong. The farm was started by Dr. Webb who married into the Vanderbilt family. The house is one of the best examples of Gilded Age architecture that I've ever seen. The barn is immense. Beautiful grounds and scenery. A great place to learn about history, agriculture and preserving the environment.
google avatar

Yelp
Just go. It'd be insulting to try n explain this Shelburne Farms beautiful allure. A must see. A must smell. A must for senses

Yelp
I'm giving 3 stars simply because the estate and architecture are stunningly beautiful. Others have commented on the wonderful interactive atmosphere... I cannot agree, as it was not at all evident on our visit. First stop: Ticket booth. The interaction consisted of two sentences: "General admission?" And ""Would you like a map?" No additional information about the grounds. No "Be sure to see the..." I purchased my own ticket and a senior citizen ticket. A suggestion to buy access to the farm wagon ride would have been appropriate and welcome. Second stop: Gift shop. Despite 3 employees being present when we entered, we were not greeted; our presence wasn't acknowledged in any way. Third stop: Cheese-making exhibit, which had been posted as being open and operating daily from 10-3. There were two people there including myself, mother, and the people making cheese. (Translation: There was no one making cheese.) Next stop: The bakery. The triple chocolate cookies were delicious, but pricey. Final stop: Ticket booth (again). I asked if, considering my mother is 75 years old, we might be able to drive to see the other buildings (Breeding Barn, Dairy Barn, Carriage Barn, gardens, and Inn). We were pretty much shot down: "This is a walking property and they're not set up for visitors." Why are they on the visitors map? Also, there were several cars that passed by as we walked the property. (The main barn is 1/2 mile from the entrance parking lot, btw.) My entrance fee was $8 and the senior ticket was $6. I love taking photos and got some nice ones. Otherwise, not worth the effort to go.

Angela C.

Yelp
Very peaceful place. Nice nature trails and adorable animals (cows, chickens, goats and sheep). If it wasn't raining when we got there, we would have likely stayed longer. Scenic and picturesque. Glad we visited.

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
Gorgeous spot. My friend and I took a great walk from the store to the inn to see the farm and it was just beautiful. It took us about two hours to do that, we did atop to say hi to the cows and take pics of the lake, it was a gorgeous day and we could see NY and the ADKs. Cute little shop, too. Lots of people with dogs, but I read they're only allowed off season.

Yelp
There aren't enough words to describe how cool and what a great experience I had here. The entire property is gorgeous set on the shores of Lake Champlain and with beautiful views of the lake and fields and woods. We started our day here with their farm fresh breakfast which was incredible! The food is all locally sourced and prepared fresh and delicious! Then we took a tour through the property and learned all about the history of the property history of the farm. The tour was excellent and our guide was very informative and told us many interesting facts. They have wonderful children's programs with animals and other farm activities. The home and buildings are very well preserved and the interior wonderfully elegant. They also make cheese maple syrup and lots of other great things to try and take home with you! Truly a wonderful place to visit and spend a day with the family!

Yelp
Fantastic property, great for kids, up close farm animal experience and educational opportunities, tons of hikes possible, and a pretty darn amazing selection of cheeses from the farm gift shop out front. Would love to return to sample the breakfast or dinner from the inn down on the lake.

Yelp
We loved this farm! There was lots of interactive activities with the animals. I got to bottle feed calves.. brush/ groom donkeys.. touch sheep. The farm is also spacious, we brought sandwiches to have a picnic there. There was a wagon ride and cheese tastings! Overall, it's well worth a visit, and memorable!
