Google
Shelburne was amazing! They welcomed myself and 10 other girls so perfectly. It had been raining, so they had to quickly move our table and set up the most beautiful table in their loft. We had such a great time and the wine and food were delicious. Thank you!

Claudia L.

Google
Such a lovely place! The music is fantastic and not overly loud. Every single wine I tried was phenomenal! The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to guide you in the right wine direction. Can’t wait to visit again!

Darryl

Google
Service is good here and the wine is a 5 star. The reasons I am giving a 4 star are the chairs are extreamly hard feeling and uncomfortable when sitting for more than 5 minutes, and the crackers with the cheese platter are very hard on my teeth. Cheese is soft and creamy needs a cracker that compliments. Today the next day me and my wife's backside is sore from the chirs. Maybe an added cushion would raise the comfort level. I know I enjoy comfort when sipping on wine

Google
We enjoyed our time here and tried two different flights, as well as the hummus. Staff was lovely, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. I do wish that they explained the differences of the wine and what makes it special, or at least had that info available. We asked our waitress (is that the right term?) so many questions, and the info was really neat! We learned how they handpick the grapes and about the region. I think it would be cool to make that readily available. Overall, I would come back! Would love to cozy up in one of the arm chairs with a good book and glass of wine!

Google
Some tasty wines. One of them was on sale but got charged full price for 3 bottles. I tipped high also for 2 flights of wine. A little disappointed. UPDATE: I had reached out as requested and the person I interacted with took care of me! Fast and pleasant!! It is a nice quaint place to visit..if we were to visit the area I would definately visit again! Thank you Shelburne Vineyard!!!

Google
Really lovely vineyard pitstop along our tour of wineries in VT, beautiful photo opps for fall, pleasant wines, and a light cheese boards to accompany. Cari’s wine tasting flight options so there is something for everyone.

Google
I had a pleasant visit to this winery, and I really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. They made us feel comfortable and engaged throughout our visit, which I truly enjoyed. However, I did find the tasting experience somewhat disappointing given the price. The pours were extremely limited—probably the most rationed tasting I’ve ever experienced—and in total, we didn’t even get half a glass of wine. It felt a bit underwhelming for what we paid. The pours were about a pinky width tall before being poured into the wine glass. Additionally, the process was a bit slow, largely due to training happening with the staff during our tasting. While I understand that training is necessary, it did take quite some time, to the point where our cheeseboard was almost finished before we could fully enjoy our wines. Overall, a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, but the tasting experience could definitely be improved in terms of value and efficiency.

Google
We had such a great time at the vineyard. They seated us right away on a Friday evening without a reservation. The wine flights were excellent, the live jazz band was fantastic, and the owner truly brought the place to life. He welcomed guests with warmth, praised the band with real passion, shared stories about his family farm and how his grandfather judged when grapes were ripe, and even went table to table offering grapes used in the wine. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and outside food was encouraged—many tables had pizza delivered. Great service, great wine, and wonderful people. We loved our time there.

Yelp
Have been to Shelburne Vineyards many times, most recently in early October. The property is beautiful, and we love when we're able to grab a table outside. We enjoy their wine flights - the Daisy and the Lupine were very tasty, and we grabbed a few bottles of the Substrata, Cayuga, and Subduction to go! I don't drink locally grown New England wine often, but Shelburne Vineyards is among my favorites that I've tried. The service during our last visit left a bit to be desired. The host pointed us to the bar which is first come first serve, we grabbed 2 open seats, and proceeded to wait 20 minutes before any of the bartenders even acknowledged us. We requested menus, but after waiting another several minutes, we just borrowed menus from the group next to us. Fortunately we weren't in any rush, but noticed a couple of other groups frustrated by the slow service leave before ordering. Most of the times, service is fine, folks are generally very friendly, and we always enjoy stopping by whenever we're in the area!

Yelp
We've been driving by for a few years and the bluegrass band brought us in! The white and red wines were delicious! The ciders were also really good. The building itself is so cozy! Service was out of this world. All the folks were so friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back to visit!

Sharon W.

Yelp
We had such a pleasant experience. It was so laid back. Great music and service. We did the lupine flight and the buttercup flight. The wines and ciders were great. We did the cheese plate for 2 with locally sourced cheese. They had board games available and corn hole outside.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
Rainy day outing that was least expected. Enjoyed the Red wine flight, I'd say 2 out of 4 were to my liking. (Petite pearl & marquette) Paired the flight with charcuterie board. Good small size board that was sharable. Weren't bombarded with discussions of wine, was able to enjoy at my leisure and if I had questions, it was welcomed.

Yelp
I don't tend to go to wineries in the United States unless in major wine growing regions, but we went to Shelburne Vineyard co-located with Eden Cider for what I could describe as a life changing experience on what types of wines Vermont puts out. Shelburne Vineyard is a distinguished winery located in Shelburne, Vermont. Known for its commitment to sustainable farming practices and the production of high-quality wines, Shelburne Vineyard has become a notable destination for wine enthusiasts in the region. They are co-located with Eden Cider, who in their own right are known for its dedication to traditional cider-making techniques and the use of local apple varieties. We had a HUGE Charcuterie and Cheese Platter paired with four amazing ciders and wines. Eden Foxwhelp Cider: A Bone Dry / Sparkling Cider 2021 IAPETUS Substrata: A Dry Light Barrel Aged Wine 2022 Shelbourne Vineyard Whimsey: A Dry Fruit Forward Meddow Rose 2021 Shelbourne Vineyard: A Dry Oak Aged Marquette Reserve - super complex and one of the best Marquette wines I have ever tried ____________

Yelp
We used to love coming here for the tastings and to pick up a bottle of wine. We were disappointed in our last visit as they no longer have tasting but instead offer flights. Not the same. Very underwhelming and after raving about a great experience to our friends it was disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
Shelburne Vineyard was fantastic. You're able to order wine or cider by the glass, or by flights (pre-set by flavor profile/sweetness level or custom-made). I personally really enjoyed their sangria slush and their sweetest cider. We also ordered their meat and cheese plate (jam, figs, meat, cheeses, olives) which was on the smaller side but still excellent! They have both indoor and patio seating set against the backdrop of their vineyard. Service was friendly. Would definitely go back!

Caroline K.

Yelp
We had a private educational tasting to celebrate my friends bachelorette party and we had a blast! Kate was the one who did the tasting and she was so knowledgeable and taught us about the wine making process, the history of the winery, the wine labels, how to pair foods and taste wine, etc. Kate was fantastic and I would recommend anyone to request her for a tasting! The wines and charcuterie boards were delicious as well! A must go place for any occasion!

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Disappointing. Only allowed to buy a flight or glass of wine...no bottles allowed to consume at site. Lots of yellow jacks flying around outside so had to move indoors since my husband is highly allergic. One of the yellow jacks landed on our cheese board that server saw when helping us to move inside. No offer from server to replace the cheese yellow jack landed on. The wine slush was way too frozen so much so that we were unable to sip it through the straw they served it with.

Yelp
Beautiful venue! Nicely organized tasting flights. Our server was helpful and checked on us several times. They offer non alcoholic options and several light bites.

Yelp
Stopped here right after they opened on a Monday, we were the only one there. It's a cute little place with seating inside, outside and in a loft area. The view from the windows is of the vineyard. Staff were very nice and helpful. We both chose to do a flight of wine. There is several flight options to chose from and all have a theme from the show the office. You can also pick any combination of wines or cider. We also chose a local Brie and crackers to go with our flight. Wine and ciders were good, we even purchased a few bottles to go. In total the flight was $15 each and you got to keep the wine glass. They are also dog friendly!
google avatar

Alanna B.

Yelp
Being a wine lover, I was super impressed with the wines from Shelburne Vineyard. There was balance, great flavor and acidity in the wines. They also offered a few ciders and a dessert cider, which I purchased to bring back home. Tastings are held outside or inside. Very inexpensive and the host was a Sommelier who knew a lot about local wines, local ciders, and all about Shelburne Vineyards. I highly recommend visiting.
google avatar

Rebecca N.

Yelp
We stopped at Shelburne Vineyard as part of a bachelorette trip. We were seated in the loft and luckily we were the only ones up there, so it felt very private which was nice. I tried the Kelly flight and enjoyed most of the wines except for the ice ciders. We also got all of the meat and cheeses from the menu and we really enjoyed the goat cheese crumble.

Sue E.

Yelp
Lovely setting, helpful associates, and wonderful wines. I went home with a bottle of the Marquette reserve.

Toby B.

Yelp
Great wine and drinks. The couple that runs the place are great. Had a cheese plate and a bottle of wine. Very nice way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
First winery my wife and I hit in the area. We enjoyed it very much along with cheese and crackers that we purchased. Nice to sit on the patio and look at the mountains and small vineyard. I enjoyed watching the sheep eat the weeds. Service was very good. We booked our time on-line using the local app (not opentable).
google avatar

Yelp
This place is pretty neat. We sat on the back patio it was a nice place to relax, converse, and try wines. The cheeses are awesome. The wine was ok we were not really impressed with a lot of the wines. It was still a good time and relatively cheap and fun experience!

Yelp
I love wine. When I saw Shelburne Vineyard pop up in my yelp searching I was thrilled! This place is so cute! You can stop by at any time for a tasting- it's about 8 wines for $8. You can also do a pairing with cheeses but we opted for straight tasting. The servers at the vineyard are so friendly and walk you thru each of their varietals. They were all rather good but my fave was the harvest widow. It was actually a mistake that came from the result of hurricane sandy I believe back a few years ago! I also really enjoyed the Rosé in a can! This is totally a thing in Vermont and I'm here for it all day! They also offer tours of the vineyard daily. We opted out of that because we stopped in before our flight home. Wonderful experience with some lovely wines! Not too far from downtown Burlington so it's worth a visit. Also, if you're like me and riding with a +1 who is all about the beer- Fiddlehead brewing is directly across the street. Makes for a nice his and hers day of drinking!
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
This vineyard is located on beautiful grounds and offers a great selection of wine. Tasting is $8 and you get to try all of their wines! That includes 5 whites (including a sparkling and rose), 4 reds and Ice wine. You get to keep their glass too! The pours are really small so if you are going to share a tasting, I would recommend get your own. They also do a wine and cheese pairing so you can sit outside and enjoy their gorgeous grounds. They are famous for their can wine, rose in a can! They also have white in can which was not on the menu but our hostess was happy to pour for us. There is a really cute dog, super friendly.

Yelp
I'm really not sure where to go with this review as my first impression wasn't positive. I made a reservation for 12 PM as that is required now due to social distancing and because they only offer outdoor seating now. I arrived about 45 minutes early so I waited in my car in the parking lot. About 15 minutes later a guy was working outside and looked over at me and decided to slowly make his way to my car. As he got next to my car I pulled down my window and he asked if he could help me. I explained that I arrived early for my 12 PM reservation. It ended up being the owner. I don't see what the big deal is if arriving early and waiting in my car. Anyway, him approaching my vehicle and asking why I was there turned me off. It's not like I was doing drugs or passed out. I'm sure many people wait in cars without being questioned about their intent. As far as the experience itself, it was good. I stuck with the Rose and White wines and you really can't go wrong with anyone of them. I also had a Fennel Salami and 2 year old Cheddar, both of which were good. I'd like to return but I'm not sure I will. I enjoyed the wines and experience itself but getting treated like some kind of criminal because I arrived early really turned me off. This place would have gotten a 4 star if it weren't for this.

Yelp
I love bringing visitors here. Any time we have family or friends visit, we always take them here. I last visited for a friend's 30th birthday. There's an upstairs loft for parties which was really nice. Cheese boards can be ordered for parties but I do not think it was sufficient for the expected party size so I think they need to up that quantity a bit. The celestial which I believe is new is absolutely amazing. I actually need to go back and grab this to keep on hand. My first thought was "this tastes like juice," which can be dangerous and even perceived as a negative but it wasn't that sweet. It had the perfect amount of bubble to it and not like champagne at all. Not a big fan of champagne here. Definitely check it out if you are in the area.

Michelle L.

Yelp
What a great find! We were in the area for the weekend and went in for a wine tasting. First, the setting: the tasting room is really nice with a center bar and tables set around the room and an upstairs loft with additional seating. We sat at a table in the tasting room. It was a beautiful setting for an afternoon wine tasting when it's too cold to be outside. Second, the wine: there are 4 pre-designed flights you can order that are named after Schitt's Creek characters. (You can also create your own custom flight but the Schitt's Creek flights were so fun!) My husband and I shared the Jocelyn (sweet and delightful), the Moira (all white wines), and the David (an eclectic mix) flights. We loved so many of the wines we tasted but our favorite was the 2021 Lake View White! We ended up going home with bottles of three of the wines that we tried (but got 3 bottles of the Lake View!) Finally, the staff: Everyone that we encountered at the Vineyard was so friendly and helpful, but Margaret, our server, went above and beyond. She answered all of our questions with a smile (and we had about a million) and told us all about the way the wine is made. We especially loved hearing about the Iapetus wines (the wine maker's passion project). It was an absolutely wonderful afternoon and if we're in the area again we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Shelburne Vineyard is my favorite place. Every month the vineyard and grapes look different, and since they've acquired Eden, the variety is immense. I am a Barrel Thief which is the best deal in Chittenden county- I joined this and few other wine and food clubs (both local and National) in the beginning of the pandemic and this is the only one that I still have! I love bringing friends, colleagues and family to the vineyard, my partner and I have frequent date nights there, and everyone is so friendly and kind. I love that this place is in my part of Vermont, and I am always happy to be there.
google avatar

Teresa T.

Yelp
A nice winery with lovely views of the vineyards. We were able to make a reservation which was really helpful. I absolutely LOVED the Schitt's Creek themed tasting flights. We tried 3 out of 4 and found a lot that we really enjoyed. Properly wined up we ordered bottles to ship home and the process was absolutely painless. There is a nice selection of gourmet chips, cheese, and charcuterie that you can purchase to make a nice picnic. I'm a big fan of the winery and highly recommend stopping by if you are a wine enthusiast.
google avatar

Kelley B.

Yelp
Very sweet, quaint little vineyard. The workers were very sweet. My husband and I both got the tasting menu and enjoyed trying the wines. It was very reasonably priced for the pours they gave you, and you got to keep your glass at the end! I didn't love all the wines, but that's totally just a pallet thing. I wish they had their full service going but- Covid. I'd recommend going here for the experience for sure. I bet it's very pretty during the spring and summer too.
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
We made a stop here as we were checking out some local sights on our off day from snowboarding. Tasted some wines but didn't quite love the wines just yet. It's a young vineyard and still needs time. I'd revisit it again in the future but for now I'd stick to the NY wine making regions instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Are you looking for the quintessential Vermont experience - in a relaxed atmosphere? Just a small drive south from Burlington, VT - this vineyard and winery is set with a backdrop of Lake Champlain. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. For under $10 dollars you can partake in a wine tasting of up to 10 different wines (season dependent). The staff will share how each grape type is selected, how the wine is made and the flavors / profile you can expect. They also offer crackers and water between wines. Cheese trays and wine by the glass is available if you are looking to extend your afternoon. There is a covered patio which protects you from the sun, while also providing an exceptional view. Their wine selection is large enough where you have variety - but not so large where the wines lose their quality or individuality. A great stop while on a romantic getaway or to spend some quality time with friends.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
Totally worth the visit. We really enjoyed their wines. The reds were very good. We had some shipped back to our house in Florida.
google avatar

Priya M.

Yelp
Visiting from NYC and decided to go here for some wine tasting. I guess it wasn't the vineyards fault but my family is a fan of sweet wines and there were very few to try here. They give you plenty of different types of wine to try (10) and some pretty tasty rice crackers. The servers were very nice and informative. I believe they give free tours too but we opted out. The dessert wine was our favorite! Super sweet and yummy! They also let you keep the glass which was pretty cool. Everything cost $8 and you got the equivalent of one glass of wine. The price was fair. But I left not the slightest bit tipsy lol

Nick R.

Yelp
We always make a stop at the Shelburne Vineyards when we are in the Burlington area. They have great wines, a great staff and comfortable location.
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
Had a great visit to Shelburne Vineyard last week after it coming highly recommended by a friend. We had a flight of reds, followed by a glass of rosé for myself and a glass of white for my SO. All great, but we tend to favor dry reds, so our favorite was the Marquette. They seem to be pretty strict about online reservations, which is great to maintain safety for both customers and staff during this time. We really appreciated how spread out the tables were on the lawn, and that you could use a QR code to pull up the wine list. Lastly - I cannot forget to recognize the very friendly, hard-working staff!
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I came here for an event and really enjoyed meeting one of the owners, Gail, who was super friendly and informative about the area and the vineyard itself. My favorite was the Harvest Widow's Revenge, but I also really enjoyed the Cayuga White. The Lakeview White was delicious as well (I am always trying to find sweeter wines for my mom). It's a pretty location and I intend to being back visitors in the future. I've hard that the pizzeria across the street is to die for, but it was so packed that day, we went back not Burlington. So next time, we will do pizza and wine.

Jules T.

Yelp
Visited today for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves. My grandfather and I sat outside, with the staff member Olivia helping us. You can bring outside food so we made a little picnic. We both enjoyed flights which were delicious and very well priced. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating. We will absolutely be back. Thank you!

David K.

Yelp
We enjoyed the wine selection for the tastings. We are visiting from Wisconsin and are growing the same varietals. Cheers
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
Am incredible vineyard! I did the tasting with my mom, aunts, and grandmother and we had a blast! The woman doing our tasting was perfect, she was knowledgeable and answered all our questions but she also didn't rush us and was generous with the pours. I'd recommend this vineyard to anyone who likes wine! You can also buy it by the glass or bottle. There's a parking lot, it's easy to find, and you can get great pizza across the street!
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
The wines were very good, particularly for being in a region not typically known for wine. Unfortunately, one of the girls working the tasting was sarcastic and rude and it put a damper on our visit. We felt like we were bothering her by doing a tasting and when I commented that I really enjoyed a particular wine, she rolled her eyes at me and sarcastically said "glad we were able to surprise you". Luckily there were two behind the bar and the second was much more friendly, though not exceptionally knowledgeable. I asked how many varieties of grapes they grew and she immediately answered that she didn't know. Seems like a basic piece of information to know about the vineyard you are working at. She made no effort to try and find an answer to my question. Wine is definitely a 4 star. Service was a 2 star at best. Hence the 3 start average review. FYI - The tasting room is not dog friendly, which in my experience with vineyards, is somewhat unusually - even more so considering this is VT, but fine - owners are free to make their own rules. Problem was that we weren't able to do a tasting on the patio area outside, which was dog friendly, because they stop doing outside tastings 1 hour before close. For those who like to travel with their dogs, this is useful information. And by the way, we always send one person in to check on the "dog friendly" status, while the other waits outside with the dog for confirmation it is OK, so I don't believe the service above was because we had our dog with us. We asked, they said no, so we left him in the car (it was a cool day).

Kelly I.

Yelp
Great experience. We had a 12:30 reservation and needed to push it back due to weather. It was a little challenging to get through to someone off hours, but as soon as we did, they were very accommodating. It was our first wine tasting and the hostess/waitress helped us navigate and gave us excellent suggestions. The wines were good, cider was superb. The cheddar, of course, was outstanding. It was very relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely come back if we visit Vermont again.
google avatar

Vidhi V.

Yelp
Very disappointing customer service! I wanted to take my husband for a surprise tour and confirmed it with the owner, Ken, in the morning. This phone call was to plan out the logistics since we would be an hour's drive away. He mentioned that the tours are through 1-4 PM, one at every hour. When we arrived, one of the staff members (won't mention her name), very rudely approached us and said "we are understaffed so we can't spare anyone! The person who confirmed with you isn't here". We had traveled for an hour, and between so many vineyards in Vermont, we picked this one to tour. So while we completely understand the understaffing problem, the least we would expect is some courtesy or at least an apology. The wine was very good, but they could certainly work on communication amongst themselves and the customer service skills to make the customer's experiences more pleasant.
google avatar

Barbara V.

Yelp
LOVED THIS PLACE! It was pretty busy but we were helped immediately! We sat outside and ordered a wine and cheese pairing and the choices were amazing! We went back inside and bought a bottle of my favorite from the tasting. The highlight was the three legged dog that greeted you as you got out of your car then went on the tours!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a beautiful spot to stop when you're in the area. Great views, friendly staff, and a fun wine tasting experience. Vermont is not known for its wine for sure, but this is the best in the area by a long shot. I really enjoy their Rose (even the Rose in a can!) and their dry whites. It's so fun to have a winery nearby and enjoy that tasting or flight experience. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
Had a great wine tasting experience here. It was pretty empty and the guy behind the bar was a diamond. Cool dude to talk to, great recommendations and the wine was excellent. Also they have a really sweet dog!

Dayna T.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick wine tasting. Multiple open tables and only 3 people at the bar - multiple empty stools. Hostess said we needed a reservation but suggested we buy a bottle and take it home. Wth?? You won't allow us to sample your wine at your empty bar but expect we'd want to buy a bottle. Uh, no thanks. The lovely winery just down the road was very accommodating so we're actually glad this place was 'too busy'

Yelp
Was excited to try out Shelburne Vineyard as I have driven past many times but never had time to stop in. Since I don't know much about wine I asked the girl working there for some recommendations. She just have me an informational sheet with a list of each wine and told me to read them and then choose one. Gee, thanks for your help here. I must have been imposing on her time as she was deep in conversation with a friend. I ended up doing my best to choose a wine and while ordering it mentioned that I was just guessing and that I had no idea what I was doing. Huge eye roll from both her and her friend. Don't think I could recommend this place to others after an experience like that.
google avatar

Krista R.

Yelp
I was so happy to stumble upon Shelburne Vineyards. We stopped in after our short hike on Mount Philo, which is only a few minutes away, and our thirst was quickly quenched. For $7 I was able to sample all (!) of their wines, and I got to keep the glass. It was beautiful inside the tasting room, and you can see through the numerous windows that you're surrounded by rows upon rows of grape vines. The wine was tasty and the staff knowledgeable. I highly recommend you stop by on your way to/from Burlington!
google avatar

Katherine D.

Yelp
This is a great Vineyard to go to if you're in the area. We did the wine tasting, which we enjoyed as a group, and it was beautiful to do this during the fall. The glasses they let you keep are pretty nice also. The wines were delicious, but the samples are pretty small. They offer a short tour of the winery which is interesting, and very informative. It's a great way to spend a few hours outside. Across the street, they have Fiddlesticks brewery and a delicious pizza place, which makes for a great day. They also have weddings at the winery.

Yelp
I took a mini trip this weekend to Burlington Vermont and me and group of friends decided to go wine tasting at this vineyard. I was very disappointed in the service that I received. We made reservations for 430pm and when we got there we were seated outside in a table that was at an angle, the cups and glasses kept sliding off the table. The server took 30 mins to actually take our order cause the server kept forgetting her pen. There was one server attending to everyone outside which probably explained the wait. When she did take our order she told us the cheeseboards were sold out but she could offer us some cheese and crackers. The cheese and crackers that were offer were not appetizing. We were not informed of the price of the cheese and crackers that the server gave us and the bill was slightly high at the end of our tasting. Overall the experience was disappointing.

Gail E.

Yelp
Usually love this place but you need to be very, very patient. Today was a disappointment and left with a sad feeling about our experience. Took almost 20-25 minutes to get our order placed and then waited another 20 or so minutes for our cheese and meat tray which wound up being completely wrong. Reluctantly we said ok to the wrong order after it seemed to be "complicated" to the server who was kinda out of it - sorry to say. My husband saw our original server on his way to the restroom and politely mentioned our order wasn't correct and she insisted on bringing out the correct order which was nice but when she brought it she kind of just dropped it on your table and left like she was annoyed. Geez!!! The second server was surprised we got the corrected order and said "Well you've already eaten some of the other order" and I said well if you need to charge us for two that's fine...it was a really awkward conversation. Honestly we were trying to have a relaxing low stress time but the servers were just so tense and irritated that it made for an unpleasant experience overall. In the long run they should have just said oh sorry for the wrong order and bring out the new one (as they did) BUT without the extreme attitude. For a few dollars of inconvenience on their part they have given us a bad experience to share with friends and I'm not too interested in visiting any time soon. So sad.

Yelp
We were so excited to get married at Shelburne Vineyard. It started off well with the original event manager however unfortunately, when she left, we were not made aware of this. There wasn't a transitional email or phone call from anyone at the vineyard to let us know where to send questions or who our vendor's new point of contact would be. We started to get nervous as our messages to Taylor (the old event planner) went unanswered. Eventually once we reached out to the main email connected to the vineyard we heard from Sarah Travelpiece. Sarah did not introduce herself so we were not sure if she was an existing staff member or the new event coordinator. We did ask her who she was in a follow-up email and she then informed us to contact her moving forward and that Taylor's emails were often missed and sent to her junk mail. Additionally, a month prior to our wedding she sent us an email that was curt and very confusing about our duties as renters of the venue. This was after we had to put her and VT Tent Company on an email together because she hadn't been responding to the agent who had called several times. We thought this might have been a hiccup in the passing of responsibilities from Taylor to Sarah so we excused it. However, again FIVE DAYS before our wedding Pizzeria Verita and VT Tent Company separately reached out to us letting us know they had both called and emailed Sarah to no avail. We were told told us she had a family emergency which is why she had not been responsive. We thought that if this was the case someone from the vineyard would have stepped in on her behalf given an upcoming wedding was a week or less away. This was extremely stressful. When we arrived at 5PM on the day of our wedding we were surprised that while we were going to pay an extra 1000 to rent the venue 30 minutes early (at 5 instead of 5:30) there were still patrons being serviced until 5:30p This was difficult as both were drinking, not ready to leave, and we felt we were intruding on their evening while also knowing we needed to set up the centerpieces, dancefloor, rearrange tables, etcetera. The event coordinator was I helped up. She and the staff did very little to assist in the set-up process. While our wedding party set up the area the staff members were seen drinking wine behind the bar, texting on their phones, and talking amongst themselves and at no time did they ask if they could assist. At the end of the night our caterer gave the staff pizza to be stored for us and this was not given to us and we were not told about it until our vendors followed up with us when asking for feedback. We found all of this very unprofessional and the lack of support from the vineyard disheartening. We reached out to the owners several times and they also did not reply. This was all very upsetting. While the venue is beautiful I would not recommend this place due to the lack of management, organization and professionalism.

We stopped at this winery on our way back home from a business trip to Burlington. They have many good wines. They have a Cayuga white made from grapes right from the Finger Lakes region here in New York State. They mentioned that they can't grow the Cayuga grapes there in Vermont because the vines cant withstand the colder winter temperatures at the higher elevation there.
