Shellona is one of those places that just feels like the definition of a perfect St. Barths afternoon. It’s right on Shell Beach — casual but beautiful — and the whole vibe is effortless. You can walk straight from the sand onto the deck and settle into one of those long, lazy lunches that somehow turns into late afternoon drinks.
The food is Mediterranean-style, fresh, and really well done. We ate at pretty much every top restaurant on the island during the trip — but the lobster spaghetti at Shellona still stands out. It was easily the most expensive pasta I ordered the entire trip (and that’s saying something in St. Barths), but honestly? Worth every cent. Perfectly cooked, rich without being heavy, and exactly the kind of over-the-top island moment you want once you’re here.
The rosé flows, the music is always the right energy — easygoing during the day and starts to pick up a little late as the afternoon rolls in. It’s the kind of place where you lose track of time in the best way. Definitely one of my go-to spots every time I’m in St. Barths — you can’t leave without doing at least one afternoon here.
Oh the salt they use, Sal de Ibiza, is amazing but buy it on amazon- cheaper and way easier to purchase multiple times.
