On the first visit to Shelter Belt, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was updated and thematic to fit the restaurant. There's an all-ages side as well as 21+ side with full bar including seating upstairs or outdoors. The menu regularly changes, so check back for changes. Overall, very good!

The best gourmet bar food in town. Highly recommend the pig wings. Would order the fried chicken sandwich again. Stephanie and Shane have created another culinary marvel.

The food at Shelter Belt is phenomenal. The flavors are unique and delicious. I recommend trying the rosemary fries, cheese ball, pig wings, and dirt cup. I was also impressed with the staff. Everyone was friendly and genuine. Our server was attentive and prompt.

These guys do a killer reuben. The kraut can always use a little more 'stank,' still very solid & will order again. Lunch food service was great too: friendly, fast and accurate

What an unbelievable experience. The staff was attentive and discreet in maintaining our experience to a higher level than I'd expected in this atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. Simply put, this is an elevated take on the classics that you're accustomed to in the Midwest. The Chef understands how to balance flavors in a way to make this the "home cooked meal" you'll be glad you went out for. It's familiar, yet different. In a good way, this isn't your mom's home cooking, this is an inspired take on the quaint dishes you've grown up with. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked, balanced and beautifully presentated in a adequate portion size. Experience Midwest style food at it's absolute best.

I was so excited this location opened up with another restaurant! The food i had was very good. My kids liked their food also. The table was a little sticky so next time ill try sitting in the bar side not the deli side.

First visit June 8 2021. Friendly bartender. Food came quickly considering how busy they were, especially since they just opened. Pig wings, poutine, chicken sandwich and onion rings were all tastefully done. 5th star reserved for when they pay homage to what once was and put duck drummies on the menu.

Arrived about 4pm, so in-between rushes. The atmosphere was very friendly and cozy. The menu had several dished that you won't find anywhere else, and beckons a return trip to try them out. Especially after getting our food. I had the pleasure to try two of their menu items (I always steal a bite from my partner) and I was impressed. Definitely a cool spot and a great bite.
