Shelter Hostel Malang

My partner and I spent a wonderful four nights here recently. The private loft rooms, with both fan and air-con, are spacious and comfortable. The shared bathrooms are close to the room and super clean. The location is central, the shared space is open and fun and the staff are amazing. We would definitely stay there again. In general, the place was super clean. Thanks to you all at Shelter Hostel. :)

I didn’t get enough sleep here because it was too humid for me, and there was no air conditioning as mentioned on the website. I arrived early in the morning and the staff kindly allowed me to store my luggage, which I really appreciated. The location is great, very close to a viral spot and easily reachable by walking.

Hello, The Shelter Hostel in Malang is a very cozy hostel with super sweet stuff (they even cooked our noodles, when we wanted to eat our own noodles & pesto) and great + cheap food. The showers are very clean and the waterpressure is just amazingly comfortable. We loved our 2 nights stay here and definitely recommend this place to others. Cheers

Didn’t stay at this hostel but I did their 2 day/1 night Mount Bromo/Ijen and it was amazing. So well organised, with a fun and interesting guide who was very respectful. We got to go to a locals’ hot spring as well. Great group of people on the tour. Was only £70 for the tour including overnight accommodation, which was a lot cheaper than others online.

Amazing experience, cute hostel close to the station, clean and fully equipped with towels and all amenities. A special thank to Mirna who helped us to find train tickets and definitely saved our trip !! Can’t recommend enough

I 100% recommend this hostel. The beds are comfy, hot water in the showers and all of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is also very good and very reasonably priced. They helped me book my Mount Bromo tour which was incredible and I was also able to book my train ticket through the hostel which was very helpful. If I ever find myself back in Malang, I would definitely stay here again.
