Shelter Woodstock

Came here 3 or 4 times already - the food is delicious as is the ambiance. We always get the humita empanadas and if available the skirt-steak sandwich which is amazing (forgot to take a pic). Josh has been our server and he’s great!

Shelter Woodstock is, without a doubt, my new favorite spot in the area. The food here is next-level — every dish feels like it was made with real passion. The empanadas are out of this world: perfectly crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor on the inside. Easily the best I’ve had in the entire Hudson Valley. The steak sandwich is unreal — juicy, tender, and full of flavor, the kind of sandwich you keep thinking about long after you leave. And the short ribs… wow. Fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, and cooked to absolute perfection. On top of the incredible food, the place has an amazing vibe and warm, friendly service. Shelter Woodstock is one of those rare gems you instantly want to recommend to all your friends. If you’re anywhere near Woodstock, do yourself a favor and stop by. This place is five stars all the way.

Stopped by after going to Overlook Mountain and I have no regrets! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The place felt super homey with the dim lights and warm atmosphere. It definitely felt like a home away from home. We got a lot for a decent price. I would try the Mac and cheese and the empanadas because it’s rare to find a place that makes it the way they did. The burger was great as well as the skirt steak! The Hudson valley peach cider was also 10/10, a perfect side for the burger if you want something sweet on the side. We also got the flan and I’m not someone that really likes it but theirs was wowza. They serve it with some Carmel and blueberries and I think that’s what made it memorable and extra tasty! Enjoy ☺️

Great experience, good menu and service (Ana was super nice and professional). All the cheese items were delicious and the empanadas freshly baked. The hanger steak was less good than the baked items but still good. The owner greeted us and was very kind.

I loved this spot in Woodstock— from the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the incredible food and drinks. I had the chivito and empanadas (cooked in the brick oven), both delicious and full of authentic flavor and the best bloody mary. The service was super nice, very attentive. If you’re in Woodstock, do yourself a favor and check out Shelter.

Amazing place with delicious food, lovely decor and great ambiance and wonderful hospitality. Stays open longer than other restaurants in the area. All ingredients were farm fresh n they tasted so. Their cream brûlée tasted heavenly! Would love to be there again.

Really sweet staff. Cheeseburger was good but the French fries were incredible. Kale salad was incredible. Empanada with corn was my absolute favorite. Awesome wine selection!

Came all the way from Brooklyn to visit again one of my favorite restaurants. Their food is amazing, great pizza, great wine, the milanese was really good and (you can’t skeep dessert) and the environment is unique . Owner Martin is the best . Thank you guys
