Shepherd's Corner Guest House

We stayed in one of the larger units and it was wonderful! The amount of space available to us was completely unexpected. Massive bedroom, very large lounge area, and a very big bathroom. The kitchen was also very nicely sized and well stocked for our needs. This unit had the most cupboard space that I have ever come across in accommodations during my travels, and my wife loved it! The outside area was also wonderfully tranquil, and we felt as if we were in a small town, rather than Johannesburg. ||||The owner and staff were super friendly! Our privacy was very well respected (as we are slightly reclusive) but the owner was easily accessible when the need arose. ||||Wifi was very stable and served us well at approx. 10 MB/s. Satellite television also provided enough entertainment for our stay... ||||I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It is very centrally located with numerous shopping malls and places of entertainment around. The location is also perfect if you are planning to travel in and around Johannesburg.

Sherpherds Corner Guest House is absolutely gorgeous and the hosts Shiona and Jazz are the friendliest, warmest people I’ve met since moving to Johannesburg. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed me to my room which was more of a well equipped self catering apartment. The apartment itself was tastefully decorated and very spacious. My daughters loved the garden, calling it magical. I would highly recommend this Guest House for both leisure and business travelers.

Such a peaceful place amidst the business of Johannesburg. A beautifully appointed apartment and very spacious. Truly appreciated the extra mile Shiona and Jazz went to during our stay. We will absolutely be back with our family.

Shiona and Jazz are wonderful, kind & patient hosts. Place is absolutely beautiful and their 2 dogs (whose names I’ve forgotten, sorry!) are huge dears. We stayed in the treetop room & it’s so quaint, yet attention to detail is impeccable. A curated breakfast (with delicious options) is delivered to your doorstep & you get to enjoy it in the comfort of your own place. & of course wi-fi is at its best :) highly recommend this place to anyone visiting JoBurg for the first time!

My husband and I stayed at Shepherd's Corner for 5 weeks when we first moved to Joburg. We are so happy we found this place. It was really our apartment for the time we were there. Shiona, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. She and her family live in the main house and they have built 1-2 bedroom apartments onto their house. We stayed in Silver Birch. It was totally private and had a huge private outdoor space. But they we also had access to the fresh water pool and beautiful gardens. There was AC in the bedroom and the wifi worked great. I highly recommend staying here if you don't love the typical corporate apartments. You will feel right at home at Shepherd's Corner.

The minute I walked through the gate,it felt like I just walked into a fairytale, the Host: 10/10,she was helpful and so sweet and friendly and because I couldn't stay for breakfast she made sandwiches for me and left them in the fridge so I can have something before i leave🥺❤️I stayed in the Tree top cottage and my balcony was so beautiful and green,I enjoyed the little glimpse of sunrise and coffee. The garden is to die for,I would definitely recommend this guest house.

More than we expected! Great hosts with a warm welcome. We stayed in an 80sq me luxury self-catering apartment that led out onto a private garden. The apartment was beautifully furnished and Smart Tv and Wi-Fi was provided. Breakfast was delicious! Lovely touches throughout. Really comfy king-sized bed. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

This is a delightful small boutique hotel/guest house/air b & b set in luscious gardens with a wild pool. Pool has grasses and plants all natural- with swimming in middle. A bit too cool for swimming on our visit. We arrived and were greeted by the owner, Shiana, who drove us to a restaurant where we had a wonderful Greek meal. We ordered our breakfast selections the evening before and it was delivered to our two bedroom two bath two level private cottage with our own planted yard with outdoor table and sitting areas.||For us, having denied well traveled New Yorkers, this was so much nicer than a big sterile impersonal hotel. The kitchen is well-equipped. It would be easy to prepare meals and eat in. Clothes washer and dryer complete almost all the conveniences of home. ||A group of three women, sailers from City Island New York, would return and stay here anytime even though there are no sailboats within view. We stayed two nights after a long tedious journey from New York and this private cottage was an oasis in a lovely way to start a trip.||I highly recommend this accommodation and give it five stars
