Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Ababa

Been here several times, but it had been a while. The hotel is starting to show its age and definitely needs updating. It is starting to have that 1980's feel a bit, but it remains a wonderful site. The breakfast is outstanding as is the service and security. The Italian Restaurant on site is also quite good. Not sure I would consider staying anywhere else, but unlike in years past, I would consider it. The room was quite dated and a bit warm. The TV and room controls were really quite old, but the hotel remains charming and the lobby is exquisite and a place to see the highest society of Addis while drinking coffee/tea. The people remain wonderful and would still highly recommend the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Addis to kick off our honeymoon! The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. We enjoyed meals at two of the on-site restaurants and the breakfast buffet — all were delicious and well presented. The service throughout our stay was excellent, and the complimentary airport transfer made our arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning and make for a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city. We were also touched by the thoughtful honeymoon touches — a bottle of wine in our room and a special dessert with a sweet message at the Indian restaurant on our second night. Highly recommend!

This hotel is absolutely the best from service to being beautiful and very comfortable. It is considered the best hotel in town and I’m sure it is. Jemaldin Muzeyin was helpful with any questions or needs we had and Sefiw was on top of taking care of in the lounge at all times. I would recommend this hotel to everyone going to Addis as it was a true pleasure.

This could be an excellent hotel but is appalling run. We were charged twice for our stay, on arrival and departure. It has taken 2 weeks of chasing to get a refund. We booked a transfer from the airport but there was nobody to meet us and we had to wait over 30 mins after a long and exhausting flight. We were overcharged for drinks in the bar. All bills had 10% service added and then 15% VAT on that. It is unclear if you can add VAT to service. We had a room near the lifts and you can hear them inside the room. The room has no USB sockets. We were charged about 22p to print our boarding passes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had a great experience at Sheraton Addis — truly some of the best customer service ever. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, making it a perfect place to unwind. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, though a little refresh on the elevators, carpets, and hallways would elevate the overall experience even more. Still, the charm and hospitality of the hotel easily make up for it. Looking forward to staying again!

Me and my wife got married at this hotel and stayed for the night. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient. Excellent Wedding venue. The Sheraton Lalibela Ballroom was amazing. It’s a perfect place for your great special event hosting great parties for your lifetime memories from birthday parties to Marriage ceremonies to business events to you name it. Awesome place for hosting special events. The restaurants are amazing… plenty of choices. Five diamonds amazing customer service. Keep it up. We definitely recommend this place for an event to celebrate.

A wonderful spot to call home while you visit the city. In fact, you probably won’t NEED to leave. Tons of things to do and places to have a meal. The bed is SUPER comfy. The grand entry is impressive. The daily coffee experience at 3pm is super cool. The pool area is nice and the meeting space is huge. The staff knocked it it of the park. Super helpful and friendly.

On the basis of two short stays (one night each), this is a very professionally run hotel that hits all the right marks. Pre-departure conversation with the concierge to arrange for airport pick-up was handled professionally and was reassuring. Arrival and departure airport transfers were seamless. On both stays, the room was impeccably clean and the bed very comfortable. My first arrival was late in the evening. I headed to Stanley's Bar for a couple of drinks and found the bar excellent and the bartender very friendly. The second time round, I made it to dinner at Summerfields. It was a Friday night, so the Ethiopian offerings were limited more or less to fasting food. The shiro was fantastic, as was the misir wat. Everyone I came across in the hotel was courteous and efficient. One quirk that could be addressed is that the website gives no contact e-mail for the hotel (or else it's very well hidden!). While my pre-arrival call to arrange an airport pick-up was seamless, it would've been easier to do this via e-mail. Excellent experience overall, and would not hesitate to stay here again.
