I was expecting the worst based on reviews from travelers on this site staying here during the renovation. The check in experience was fast and flawless. Ms. Bowens discussed room options and was candid about the noise from construction. She assured me the noise was between 9 and 4. And, she was right. She recommended Rm 1714 so I could have a night time view to enjoy. ||I attended a conference right there in the hotel from 8 am until 5 pm each day Wed to Saturday. The elevators are fast and all were working. My room temperature stayed a very comfortable 69 degrees. There was plenty of water pressure in the shower and the water stayed hot. My bed was super comfortable. The towels were just right- large enough and not too heavy. The toiletries provided were great and were refreshed every day. The space in the room was adequate to set up my lap top and do light work. The bathroom was very clean. The rug was pretty dusty in corners and around the bed frame that sat on the floor. That was disappointing. They could do a better job vacuuming in the tight spaces. ||There is a coffee machine in each room. I asked for extra coffee and a generous supply with all he fixings came quickly. Each day two new bottles of spring water showed up in my room. The ice machine worked and the ice is almost shaved. ||There was no real lobby, bar, coffee service or restaurant on site but the Prudential Center had every type of food and snack and beverage you could want. The hotel did not charge an amenity fee since everything was closed. Ms. Bowens at the front desk was awesome. She understands customer service and seemed to really like all the people she encounters in her job. You all need to keep her. She should have a great future with this hotel.

The hotel was OK, but definitely not worth the price we had to pay for the room (1127). The room was extremely small. Only 1 bedside table (so if 2 people have to use a CPAP it won't work). The bed was so close to the wall that you couldn't walk on one side of the bed and some of the outlets did not work. Limited lighting in the room only lamps in the main area. The bathroom was very small. Two people could not fit into it at the same time. The door opened less than an inch away from the toilet when you go into the bathroom. The shower floor was not textured, making it slippery when showering. ||The bellhop staff (especially Al) was extremely friendly and helpful, same as the valet staff. ||I feel that paying $70 a day for parking on top of the inflated room prices for an outdated room that was more the size of a budget motel is not worth it.

We knew before booking that this hotel was under refurbishment when we booked but needed to stay central for our daughter's graduation so thought it will be OK for a few days. I was so pleasantly surprised on arrival, all of the construction work area was closed off by a solid partition so we could hear no noise from it and I was so impressed that unlike the Inter Continental (construction closed off with flimsy curtain and horrible cramped breakfast area opened instead of restaurant) we stayed in later in our trip they closed the breakfast service and offered excellent room service instead with fantastic food and fast efficient service. Our room while dated was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and warm and always ready to help. The fitness area is a jewel kept immaculate with lovely pool and two separate fitness areas - we enjoyed using this very much, especially after a long day on our feet. I'm so glad I didn't heed the reviews as I enjoyed our stay here very much.

Hotel is under refurbishment, lots of construction noise early morning (our room was in 12th floor) room was small with even smaller bathroom, service people were nice and helpful. I feel construction should have been mentioned in their site. Hotel location is very nice but with this condition it was not worth the price. No lobby, no restaurant at the moment.

★★★★★ My stay at the Sheraton in Boston was just for few days for the conference and I had a very good experience. Despite the hotel showing its age a bit, the cozy ambiance added to its charm. What truly stood out was the impeccable service; the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel's prime location made exploring Boston a breeze. With shopping options and fantastic dining spots within walking distance, every moment was filled with convenience and delight. I highly recommend the Sheraton at Boston for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

I won't stay here again. ||Cons: I'm a long-time Bonvoy member, but couldn't use my mobile key because my reservation had been screwed up, and even after it was sorted out (I hope), the mobile key never worked.||I'm glad I wasn't driving though. Valet parking at the hotel was $70 per night. I don't know how much self pay parking would have been since it isn't advertised outside.||They didn't inform us that the place was undergoing construction. There was no regular restaurant though you could order room service. My room smelled really bad; mildewy and moldy and would knock me over everytime I came into the room. The desktop is not large enough to work on. The bathroom is tiny. There was rust and some type of paint scrapes or something in the tub and it wouldn't drain properly. When I would take a shower the tub would fill to beyond my ankles, and that made the floor of the tub slippery and dangerous. The towels were very rough. There are not enough outlets and no USB outlets.||The breakfast food provided at the conference was really pretty bad. The sign would say "cage free eggs," but they were clearly powdered or prepared. Only bagels were provided--no bread, english muffins, etc. There were tiny muffins, greasy bacon, and some fruit. Juices and coffee were provided for breakfast, but nothing but water was provided the remainder of the day.||Chicken was provided for the banquet and it was a fatty, rubbery mess and could not be eaten. The mashed potatoes had large chunks of uncooked potatoes in them. The rolls were good though. ||The walls and ceilings were thin and I could hear people walking around and talking in their rooms and in the halls. The staff in the hallway need to lower their voices. You could hear doors slamming all the way down the hall. The construction was very loud.||Be careful with the reservation. I changed mine. I even called the day before to make sure everything was ok because I received an email that concerned me. I was assured it was correct. I got there and they had two reservations for me, one of which had me coming in the day before (the one I cancelled) and I was charged a no-show fee. ||There were next to no cabs available. I only saw one, one time. Maybe that's a Boston thing.||The TV checkout was not working.||There was no robe in the room.||Lastly, the room has blinds--not curtains, so there is no way to blacken the room, plus light came in through the sides and bottom of the doorway. No nightlight was necessary because of this.||Pros: The staff was great. I got in very early in the morning and fully expected that I would not be able to get in a room (I had a redeye flight, and other passengers were inconsiderate and noisy on the flight so I was exhausted). But they were actually able to get a smaller room for me so I could get a room right away, but since it was just me it was adequate (note the small bathroom and smell above). ||Steven was the manager on duty who was helpful. He also stated that the no-show fee would be removed. So far, I don't see that specific charge, but I also have not received a statement and will have to call them to get it.||The blinds were broken in the room were broken but they sent an engineer right away and fixed it. The blinds were in the up position, and my window faced a building and a utility roof. I just couldn't tell if anyone across the way could see in the room.||The A/C was fully modifiable which is great. The refrigerator worked well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.||The hotel is attached to the Copley Place Mall and there is no need to go outside. It is connected to the Marriott and has upscale shops and plenty of places to eat. There's even a CVS inside.

Review for Sheraton Back BayDuring our stay at the Sheraton Back Bay, we had a mix of enjoyable and disappointing experiences. On the positive side, the hotel boasts a modern aesthetic, and we particularly enjoyed the indoor pool area, which was well-maintained and offered a relaxing environment. However, several aspects of our stay fell short of expectations. The mobile app check-in process was problematic. Despite selecting this option, we still had to go to the check-in desk, which only ever had one person on duty. This resulted in delays and frustration not only for us but for other conference attendees who also used mobile check-in. It's important for the hotel to manage expectations accurately if the process doesn't work as advertised. The pillow selection service via the app was another letdown. We chose foam pillows, and the app indicated they were delivered before our check-in. However, upon arrival, no foam pillows were present. We ordered them again via phone but were delivered feather pillows instead. After being told multiple times that foam pillows were unavailable, it became clear that the advertised pillow selection service was unreliable and misleading. Additionally, we were not informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations, resulting in no on-site bar or restaurant. While the nearby mall provided dining options, better communication about these changes would have been appreciated. On a positive note, the staff were consistently friendly and professional, which helped mitigate some of the frustrations we experienced. In summary, while the Sheraton Back Bay offers some appealing amenities and has a courteous staff, significant improvements are needed in service delivery and communication to ensure a more seamless and satisfying guest experience.

DON’T STAY HERE, unless you’re a billionaire. First the good. There are allot of reviews mentioning the need for updates. I did not encounter this. I found the facility well decorated and clean. I stayed here 5 days for a conference. And got a discounted of $350 (yes, that’s a discounted price!). That’s the theme here. You pay for EVERYTHING here. $70/day for parking! (That was $350 for me). They charge a $50/day non-refundable convenience fee. That fee is for “the convenience of using our facilities.” So whether you use the gym, pool or whatever, you must pay $50/day. (That’s another $250 for my stay.) I had something delivered by Amazon. $12 “for retrieving the package.” There’s a coffee machine in the room. The hotel provides one regular and one decaf bag. I asked the room attendant for more regular coffee. She said she was not allowed to give out anymore and that I had to ask the front desk for extra coffee. No doubt so they could change me. Mind you, I stayed in a room for 3 people. Are you as angry as me yet? I will never stay here again. I’m hoping you don’t stay here at all.
