I have stayed at many Marriott properties around the world, but unfortunately this was the worst experience I’ve ever had under the Marriott name.
• My confirmed government rate was not honored, even though Marriott’s own terms require confirmed reservations to be upheld. The U.S.-only ID restriction was hidden in the fine print and not disclosed in my booking confirmation.
• Despite sending emails and follow-ups to management, I received no reply or acknowledgment. As a loyal Marriott guest, this was especially disappointing.
Because of these issues, my family and I felt uncomfortable staying any longer. For the first time ever, we checked out of a Marriott and moved to another hotel.
I never imagined I would feel ignored at a Marriott property, but this experience showed a serious lack of transparency, service, and respect for guests. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves for future guests
