Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort (Mactan, Cebu) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort is set along a white-sand stretch of Mactan’s coast, just half an hour from the airport. Rooms and suites are among the island’s largest, with balconies, soaking tubs, and views over the gardens or sea. The property is well-equipped for both relaxation and activity, with a six-room spa, kids’ club, watersports, and a large pool. Dining spans Nikkei cuisine at Dip and Mediterranean plates at Buhi Cave Bar, plus a lively bakery-café in the lobby. It is the perfect base for exploring Cebu’s beaches and cultural sites." - Tablet Hotels

We stay at this hotel 3–4 times a year whenever we visit the Philippines, and it always feels like coming back to a familiar place. The staff are amazing and consistently welcoming, the beach is beautiful, and I really enjoy the pool exercise every morning at 10am. One of our favorite parts of the stay is breakfast, where we get to see staff members who have become so familiar to us over the years. They truly make our stays special, and we always look forward to staying at Sheraton on our future trips to the Philippines 🫶💝🌸

A very nice resort, one of the top three in mactan, the Dip restaurant very good indeed, great cocktails, top quality food. Compliments to Dee Mark a very helpful waiter|Cien is ok for dinner but even by local standards the wine way overpriced to the extent nobody has it which spoils the dinner. |The pools are very good, the room is fine however the movie channels just repeat the same movies. Maybe have netflix or something available. |A design fault on such a new hotel is the account in the room switch is super loud even on a low setting.

We stayed at Sheraton Cebu from 19th to 22nd December 2025, and it was truly an amazing experience.||We were graciously upgraded to an Executive Suite, which was enormous, beautifully designed, and offered stunning ocean views. The interiors were elegant and extremely comfortable, making our stay feel extra special.||My birthday on 21st December became a memorable highlight. The entire hotel team surprised me by singing, celebrating with us, and even clicking photographs—such a warm and thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated.||The multi-level swimming pool was another standout feature—unique, relaxing, and perfect for spending long, leisurely hours.||One of our most special evenings was dinner at Buhi Cave Bar. The natural cave-like setting, combined with excellent cocktails, delicious food, and a cool sea breeze, created the perfect atmosphere. Celebrating a special occasion there with my wife made the evening unforgettable.||Overall, the hospitality, ambience, and attention to detail made this a fantastic stay. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely love to return.

Amazing pools, beach is pretty good, restaurants were good too. Best part was the service. Everyone was extremely friendly. My favorite one was Nim Rou from 5 cien. Was great to talk to him and he gave us some great advice/service. Thanks Nim!

Not cheap or great deal financially. Way outta the way. Absolutely friendly and above n beyond staff. Smooth check in, beautiful scenery n hotel grounds. Righteous view soon as you arrive. Security n limited entryway. Not really walking distance to anything near by, Grab dependent. That in itself was challenging! Had a few Grabs cancel n wait times a bit to long, upwards of 15 minutes or more. Room was sweet!! Spectacular views from balcony. A bit urked with AC system. Was always warm for me. I like cold! Temperatures set at 18.5 but thermostat never came down to set temp n hovered at 23 celcisus. Had difficulty sleeping 1st night. Advised front desk, sent maintenance fast but nothing changed. Advised staff again, maintenance again; nothing changed. Finally switched rooms, guess what!? Same thing, no cold AC. Came to realization the temp is set and you CANT adjust. Asked for a portable fan n boom all good. The buffet restaurant was drooling good, huge variety of local food n western eatery as well. Views from there were tranquil. The other Japanese n Peruvian mix restaurant, DIP had some mouth watering sushi n prompt service. The private beachfront was perfect! Sat on far left side of property n no one around! Water was buoy protected n pool was close by. Wouldn't stay there again, to far off the path for me. Great place if you want some peace n quiet n stay on property. Small coffee shop there was serving great coffee n local sweet delicious yum desserts!

We stayed at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan for 15 days and overall had a very enjoyable vacation. The standout of this resort is truly the staff — everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Honestly, can’t say enough about the staff🤩 The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds, and the ocean view is absolutely lovely. Waking up to the water and ending the day on the balcony listening to the waves with a drink was a highlight. While the room was cleaned well each day, the chairs in our room were old and stained and could benefit from being replaced. The balcony itself is quite narrow, with only one chair and a stool, though it is possible to bring out a small chair from inside the room. A drying rack on the balcony was very helpful, especially for swimwear. The resort offers a daily buffet breakfast at 5 Cien, which has an impressively wide variety of food and drinks. 5 Cien also serves food throughout the day with a solid, reliable menu. Poolside service is excellent, with a wide range of easy pool food that can be ordered and delivered directly to your chair. There is a poolside bar (DIP) as well as Buhi, a bar overlooking the ocean. DIP also functions as a slightly more formal restaurant with Japanese and Peruvian-inspired options. We enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner at DIP Nikkei and it was incredible. Additionally, there is a café in the main lobby with light food and drink choices. One small but noticeable issue was that the resort regularly ran out of items we found surprising, such as lime, watermelon, Aperol, Campari, hamburger patties & various other ingredients that made it impossible to get signature drinks or pastas on the menu. The day the resort ran out of watermelon the F&B manager did send us complimentary fresh juices when the watermelons came in so that was a nice touch. It actually became a bit comical that almost every day we were told that they were out of something. To be fair, we were at the resort from December 18-January 2 so the holiday *may* have impacted the availability of food. The resort grounds are beautiful, featuring two infinity pools and a beach area, all with sun chairs and fresh towels provided. Snorkel gear can be rented and fish food purchased for a small fee, and the snorkeling was fantastic. The hotel provides three bottles of water daily, along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer, and toothbrush/toothpaste kits. No cotton pads or q-tips provided. There is a nurse on site who can help guest connect with a doctor to obtain a prescription and she supports with the entire process. This is a very family-friendly resort, which also means it can be quite loud at times. The pools are often busy with floating toys, water guns, balls, and lots of splashing. If you want a good spot near the pool, it’s best to reserve chairs early in the morning, as they fill up quickly. There is also a gift shop selling jewelry, clothing, swim gear, local items. This shop does sell sunscreen/aftersun and a handful of other personal items. Unfortunately, the very end of our visit was quite frustrating. We had requested a 3am wake up call that never came. We went to check out via the tv system but noticed a note under our door that noted a discrepancy of 20, 000 pesos more that we owed so we went downstairs to check out. We were in the lobby at 3:15am as we had arranged a car to the airport for 3:30am but did not get served until 3:30am. There was no acknowledgement or apology that our wake up call never came even when we pointed it out (twice). The attendant couldn’t explain the discrepancy in our amount owing and kept asking us to check our bill (15 days of unitized charges), however, our issue was not with specific charges but why there was a discrepancy. We did not get checked out until 3:40am making it a 25 minute process which seemed ridiculous at this time in the morning.

A truly delightful experience during our holiday family vacation. The excellent and warm service of all the staff is a big factor in our satisfaction. The hotel has a beautiful view of the sea, matching with its pool and beach amenities. Elegance and quiet luxury blended very well with the overall design if the hotel. The buffet, food selection, and service at 5 Cien is truly world class. A big congratulations to Chef Marcel Ramos and the whole team for elevating local dishes and ingredients for an exquisite dining experience.

The hotel offers a relaxing beachfront setting with beautiful free form swimming pools. It’s great that guests can borrow aqua shoes free of charge, making the beach more enjoyable as there are stones and it’s not all white sand. The staff were very friendly and helpful which added to a pleasant stay. Breakfast has a great selection of food. ||There were a few maintenance and service issues — towel racks were missing to hang face/hand towels, no bath mat was provided on the second day, and the bathroom switches didn’t work well. The Wi-Fi was unstable, and the poolside QR code ordering system wasn’t working although I could view the menu. The first room had small bugs on the bed. The staff quickly reassigned a new room when this was reported to them. Water kept leaking out from the shower booth on to the floor. A shuttle bus to nearby spots would be a welcome addition as the hotel is quite remote from shops and the nearby road is not pedestrian friendly.
