Great hotel. Stayed for 2 nights in a room with a king bed and club lounge access and it was excellent. My room was very spacious and the beg huge and comfortable, and it was very clean. The club lounge was also practical because it allowed me to take breakfast more quickly and join my excursion without delay. It’s also next to the train station, so very convenient. The staff was 5 stars, both at the reception and at the restaurant (I opted for the option with dinner included and only tried the buffet, so that I could eat healthier than at some of the restaurants nearby). The gym was also very nice (not very big, but you have free weights, enough floor space for doing some exercises for yourself without machines, 3 running machines and a few ellipticals, and also some elastic bands, mats, etc). I would definitely recommend this hotel if you staying at Hiroshima 👍

We were very glad to have booked a corner room with city view at sheraton hiroshima. The view was simply breathtaking and the hotel had a lovely luxurious atmosphere. The staff is topnotch and was very helpfull. The room was spotless and quite spacey. The beds were divine , very large and extremely comfortable, just perfect for our western taste. The location was also ideal being located next to the hiroshima train station and toyota car rental point. The cocktailbar and lounge coffeeshop were very nice. The cocktails were nicely done and there was a lot of choice. We thought the Japanese restaurant/tepanyaki wasnt worth the money but the meal we had there was fine. Overal I highly recommend this hotel, it made our stay very comfortable.

We stayed here at the beginning of our Japanese holiday last week. Check in was at 3pm so we decided to explore the city for a few hours while our bags were stored safely. At first I wasn’t too sure about the semi-open bathroom to the bedroom, but it was fine; although the separate toilet needs to be better sound proofed! The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The hotel is superbly located next to the station. The breakfast menu was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Google
I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Best location, walked only 5 mins from the Shinkansen station directly connected to the station. It has all kinds of transportation taking you to different part of the city. Room is American ln size spacious and clean. If you are Marriott Bonvoy member, you can enjoy free lounge access for drinks and happy hour plus free buffet breakfast. Very friendly staffs. Highly recommended.

Google
Fantastic hotel for a visit to Hiroshima. We stayed three nights and found it was the perfect base for exploring. Trains, metro, buses all leave from right outside. Staff were really friendly and helped with luggage forwarding. There’s a happy hour in the lobby bar each night. Rooms for comfortable and quiet (though the bathrooms are open style and so not very private). We had a great stay and would recommend to anyone.

Google
Excellent hotel. Located just outside the train station when you arrive with easy access was a great start. Very nice hotel staff helpful. I believe we were upgraded although we were not specifically told that as the room we stayed in was amazing! Huge room with fabulous bathroom and separate shower bath and toilet. Very comfy huge bed and pillows. |Very clean in every aspect of the hotel and our room. Plenty of restaurants and bars to eat and drink. we didn't eat there but had a drink in the bar, a bit pricey but expected in any hotel. The train station has plenty of great restaurants and shopping, quite amazing really. Just a perfect location, the buses are downstairs so everything at your fingertips. No noise the amenities are top shelf very impressive indeed. My only gripe is that you have to pay to use the pool facilities which was about $20 australian dollars which was unusual for us, we have never come across that anywhere in the world that we have travelled.

Google
Super clean, great location, very quiet, amazing view. I really loved this hotel and its proximity to the train station and the shopping center. Would highly recommend! I would also like to note that the staff was amazing. I left some extremely valuable jewelry in my room accidentally and it was right where I left it when I came back. I was never worried about it once I realized I left it. I completely trusted the team there.

Google
The staff at this hotel is super nice and they will do everything possible to help you. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. Clean, well lit and spacious. Their breakfast buffet is wonderful. You have your choice of western fair or traditional Japanese food. I will stay here again on future business trips.

Yelp
Perfect location nearby the Hiroshima train station and connects via a pedestrian bridge. All the employees were friendly and eager to assist me with reservations and directions. Early check in - yes, complimentary breakfast & club lounge, and upgraded room were provided. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant had additional offerings but the club lounge was cozy and convenient for HH and evening beverages and was located on my room floor. Overall, a great stay and I highly recomend this hotel.

Yelp
Sheraton Grand Hiroshima is where I was be staying at for two days. This is connected to the Hiroshima train station so when we got off from the trains we just had to walk on a bridge to get to the hotel. The check in was a little bit long and the process was a tad bit slow. But the room itself was quite nice and I did enjoy the bath tub! Overall the room was also big and I think was quite quiet. Enjoyed the bed as well! Stay was pleasant and convenient so I would totally come back here again.

Yelp
On my trip to Japan, this was the second hotel we stayed in when we arrived in Hiroshima. The location is great since it's right at the train station, where not only can you depart on public transit, but can do a bit of shopping and dining! We didn't use too many of the hotel amenities since we were on a timed schedule (tour group) but we did go to the breakfast buffet and went for dinner one night as well. If I ever travel to Hiroshima again, I will keep this place in mind!

Yelp
Located at the Hiroshima Station complex. Convenient location to visit the zpesce Memorial Park and many other Hiroshima sires via the loop bus - included with the JR pass. Super convenient to travel via Shinkansen (bullet train) to others parts of Japan. Restaurants galore nearby. Nice, clean and functional rooms. Service was efficient and friendly.

Yelp
This hotel has a great location pretty much attached to the train station, which is nice when the rain is coming down like it was. the room was nothing to write home about. The food was also decent but not great. The lounge for executive level was OK..

Yelp
Stayed here for one night as part of a group tour. Stayed on the 13th fl, yes 13th! The room was spacious and quiet. When we went into the hallway we could hear voices but inside the room is was very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. The only odd thing is that the sink is in the room. It is very odd to me. Toilet area has a glass door, like a shower door, and the door is again in the room area. So, my take is that this room , a king, is good for sharing with a spouse but wouldn't be as comfortable for two people who just decided to share a room.

Yelp
Bonvoy! I've seen too many Marriott commercials. I wanted to try if I say Bonvoy, will they say Bonvoy back to me? Well a front desk staff did. Thank you. Located next to the train station on Shinkansen side exit, less than one minute walk from the train station. Room here is specious, I always feel comfortable here at every stay. Service is what you expect to be from non-US Sheraton hotels anywhere. Breakfast buffet is quite extensive and they even have a happy hour here too. Lunge staff is very nice, should you have access, highly recommend visiting during dinner time.

Yelp
The hotel is steps from the Hiroshima rail station & The free app on hop off bus stops steps away. The location is excellent. There's 21 story luxury hotel has restaurants, spa, concierge, a full bar, conference rooms, concierge... Our room on the 18th floor has panoramic windows and a phenomenal view of the sunset & city. Our room has everything we can possibly want from a king size bed, desk, tub, ironing board and iron, scale... It was quiet, safe & very luxurious- s perfect stay!

Yelp
What a great place! The staff was friendly and welcoming, plus our room was huge! (Corner room.) The convenience of being practically connected to the Hiroshima Station could not be beat. They had a plentiful buffet breakfast, with a sweetheart lady who manned the egg station. She even asked if I'd like my omelette well-done. Yay! No runny eggs!! I highly recommend a stay here if you'd like to see Hiroshima. Miyajima (one of the top three scenic sites of Japan) is about 30 minutes away, Rabbit Island takes about an hour, and the Peace Museum/Peace Park and Atomic Dome are about 20 minutes away taking the streetcar. All are worth seeing!

Jason K.

Yelp
What a beautiful place. The only thing that outshines the hotel is the staff. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I would recommend highly recommend this place and hope to come back and stay myself. Perfectly located next to the station and easy to get around.

Yelp
Really wonderful and wonderful service. The bedding and the bed were so comfortable. Lovely pool and jacuzzi though the equipment in the gym was extremely dated. It's a wonderful location and the castle and a few street blocks away and the war museum a few blocks from that. A very walkable town. Highly recommend. The concierge lounge is very nice with a wonderful view and fantastic staff.

Yelp
Convenient location by train station (JR, Shinkansen and electric railway) means easy access to sights. You literally walk down a ramp from the station exit to the hotel entrance. Use the North Exit. Attentive staff, large rooms and well-kept. Definitely more tourists than most hotels we stayed at in Japan. You've got to time things like breakfast and checkout for when the tour groups are not meting/gathering/leaving... or, just be prepared to be REALLY patient! The "ekie" food court in the station has all kinds of food options for when you head back after a long day of sightseeing.
google avatar

Yelp
You can't beat this for its location just steps away from the Shinkansen station. A great hotel and befitting of the Sheraton brand of service. We had a great room with a view of the city and the daily breakfast buffet was also good. As we arrived and stayed over New Year, the hotel had special performances and free sake for all hotel guests.

Yelp
An incredible hotel for it's service, hospitality, location, and up keep. While some amnesties have been updated since my last stay here over eight years (and for that matter long ago when I was a kid ), it is conveniently located next to Hiroshima train station. It is always well maintained, thoughtfully designed, well trained staff, clean, and just incredibly professional staff. Also located near shops and restaurants but incredible good experience at the restaurant and bar within the hotel as well. We'll definitely come back if in Hiroshima again.

Yelp
EXCELLENT hotel choice if you are staying in Hiroshima for several reasons: - Great location. Located right next to the JR Hiroshima Station. - New, modern, Western style rooms. Very spacious. - Hotel staff is professional and attentive. - Great amenities (restaurant, bar, spa, pool, etc.) Based on the amount of Western travelers we encountered in the hotel, the Sheraton seems to be the hotel of choice for foreign (Western) travelers. There's a Family Mart (convenience store) right around the corner.

Yelp
The Sheraton Grand Hiroshima hotel is centrally located in Hiroshima city adjacent to the train station which makes it ideal as a launch point for day trips via the JR or Shinkansen (bullet train). The hotel is absolutely wonderful. The corner rooms have sweeping city and mountain views and the windows are well sound proofed to keep out the noise from the street and trains below. The gym is nicely equipped with a few treadmills, stationary bikes and ellipticals. There are also free weights and plenty of mats. The space is clean and when running there are great city views. There is also a pool and jacuzzi available for a small fee. The Executive Club Lounge is an oasis in the hotel. It's a very inviting space open from 6 AM to 10 PM and they serve a nice breakfast along with full canapes in the evening. The evening happy hour also offers sake, beer and a number of mid-shelf liquors. Service at the hotel is exceptional and consistent. I look forward to my next visit to the Sheraton Grand Hiroshima!

Yelp
We had the opportunity to splurge on 1 of the 5 suites of which I would highly recommend. We made it just in time to catch the sunset from the lounge. Just like the rest of Japan, the service is bar none!

Yelp
During our trip to Japan, Tokyo was our home base and we made trips to a few nearby cities to explore more of what Japan had to offer. After a speedy bullet train ride from Tokyo, we arrived in Hiroshima and we were delighted to see the Sheraton just outside of the train station. The hotel staff kept our bags in the lobby as we rushed to catch our afternoon tour. After spending several hours at Peace Plaza and in the Peace Memorial Museum, we returned to the Sheraton to check-in, which was a seamless process and then we headed to dinner in the shopping complex just beneath the JR station. For our night stay in the city, we were very pleased with the Sheraton. Our rooms were large and clean and the bedding was quite comfortable. We also had fantastic views of the city from our windows. After a great night's rest, we headed down to the lobby for breakfast. The majority of our party enjoyed the buffet and a few of us ordered off of the menu. The food was good, but expensive, as could be expected. Wanting to see the gardens before leaving Hiroshima, we easily hailed a cab in front of the hotel and upon our return, the check-out process was fast and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Sheraton Hiroshima. The hotel staff was helpful and accommodating, and the hotel was sleek and well-kept.

Yelp
This hotel was one of our favorite things in Hiroshima (besides the foods and history, of course). Our room was pretty big considering most rooms in Japan are quite small. We have two kids so they put bed rails on which was great. They even gave the kids little room slippers and hand towels. Our room was above the train station so our son who loves trains loved watching the shinkansen and local trains go by. The staff was superb. One staff member especially, Hisafumi Saeki, walked us all the way to the train station to show us where to get our passes to Miyajima Island. That is service! The breakfast buffet was delicious. Our son ate so much, he loved the croissants, green juice, natto and rice. We looked forward to eating there every morning. The hotel and our room was sparkling clean. It was so convenient walking 2 minutes to the train station to find a place to eat. We highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Fantastic hotel at the Hiroshima JR station. Beautifully renovated, full of lovely little amenities in the room, excellent staff. Great views as well. I'd like to remove a star because they charge a FORTUNE for the pool. It would have been 65 dollars a day for a family of 4 to use it. When I'm already paying a considerable amount to stay in the hotel, use of the pool should be included. The location also was somewhat far from the bulk of the restaurants of interest, which were closer to the Atomic Dome and Peace Park area. If you have a JR pass, you can take the sightseeing bus for free to these locations, but they only run every 15 minutes to some locations and every 30 minutes to others, and they stop early. This can really be a drag if you've headed out for a meal and were hoping to get back easily. Cabs were about 900 yen to and from the main sites from this location. Streetcars are also an option, but they are super slow most of the day. Also, breakfast was very expensive, but that is fairly common in hotels of course. I recommend either heading into the JR area for the Anderson bakery or going to the supermarket across the walkway from the 2nd floor. All that said, I still think it is a truly top tier hotel. This hotel was very convenient to Mazda stadium, and if you are lucky enough to be here when the Carps are playing, Japanese baseball is a MUST. A great experience. It was also convenient to the JR station for daytrips. We really enjoyed a visit to Miyajima and were glad we were close to the JR for that as well. I would definitely recommend the Sheraton with the few caveats I've listed. If you aren't a pool person and are planning to use Hiroshima as a base for other day trips, you'll be very happy with this choice. It really is a luxurious option.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon journey through Japan. The hotel is super easy to access from the JR station and you take an elevator to the lobby. The staff were very friendly and educated in directions and things to do in Hiroshima. They made us a nice picture and gave us flowers for our honeymoon. There is also a shuttle stop for the bus to take you to all the sights and sounds nearby. The rooms are spacious by japan standards but you really have to like the person you're staying with. The toilets offer almost no privacy and the other person could easily see in to the toilet area. I was sad because I had emailed the hotel to request an upgrade to the club level and the hotel informed me that this was not available. We did not eat at the hotel but the breakfast buffet seemed really expensive. I was offered a small discount as a gold member but this seems like it should be an included benefit for this type of hotel. There are some food options near the hotel but the main shopping and food district is about a 25 minute walk.

Yelp
Great location, right outside of the Hiroshima train station. Tour bus right at the street level. Fantastic breakfast buffet and the staff is fantastic. Beautiful views and a wonderful and safe place to lay your head. If you need a place to stay, this should be at the top of your list.

Yelp
Very nice hotel conveniently located on top of the Hiroshima train station close to a lot of restaurants and shopping Few minutes bus ride to Narra When in Japan don't forget to try their famous ice cream called "Crema" Whoever invented this delicious desert God bless their heart it's sooo yummy! Ok

Yelp
Can I get woop WOOP!? I was so excited to walk into this stellar hotel located right next to the Hiroshima Station. The lobby is gorgeous, the restaurants are chic & delicious- the view is quite nice if you are traveling with a little boy (you can see the bullet trains come & go all day). My kids LOVED the indoor pool & jacuzzi, while my hubby & I adored the gym, sauna & steam room :) such an epic hotel right in Hiroshima. There's a Max Valu (grocery store) right next door & a few Izakayas. The staff is superb as well! 5 stars***** I highly recommend! Love love love

Yelp
Stayed here for a single night to do a Miyajima and Peace Museum day trip. This hotel is literally connected to the main train station by a walkway which makes for very convenient access. The lobby is spacious and modern and located on the 6th floor of the building. Having an SPG Business credit card grants you access to the club room. Front desk was courteous but kinda odd when I asked them if they could call a local restaurant for me. "Sir, you still want to eat outside even with club access?" "Uhm, yes?" (I wanted Okonomiyaki) Also the staff were a bit too polite, often offering to press the elevator button even though I already pressed it. What elevates this hotel are the enormous rooms. Maybe a norm when you're not in crowded Tokyo? The bathroom is kinda weird with a public open faucet area, a segregated toilet room that screens out all the naughty bits but leaves your head and poop grunts exposed, and a shower with bathroom products and amenities you can't take home (giant dispensers attached to the wall). The bed was comfortable and the furnishings and decor were overall very modern. Giant windows overlooked the train station and some buildings near the train station. The downsides are that the Wi-Fi was abysmally slow and completely stopped working for 3 hours when I needed to use it and Lawson free Wi-Fi was just slightly too far beyond reach. Attempting to diagnose IT problems to front desk was rather useless and mostly consisted of turning the devices on and off again. Unlike Tokyo, the trains here don't run all that late (none past 12) and when we wanted to go back I couldn't find an access point under the station as the main door and shops were closed so I had to loop around an extra half mile (but we did walk from the city center back to the hotel on foot, so it really wasn't too much extra leg work). And finally, the club room was kinda nice but rather small and looks a bit like two rooms with the wall in between taken out. There's a buffet in the middle and a food spread off to the side. Again, can't complain for being free though I generally wouldn't pay for any hotel amenities.

Chris W.

Yelp
We stayed here 4 times as SPG/Marriott Platinum Premier elites. Usually at busy times, so never got a major upgrade, corner or high-floor standard rooms. Very roomy and modern by Japanese standards. Standard rooms are poorly designed, with a complete lack of privacy - the bathroom isn't properly set apart from the room; sink and mirror divide the living/sleeping area from the bathroom, but you can see/hear what's going on in the toilet/shower stall, and at night, turning on the bathroom lights will wake up everybody in the room. Knowing that you could end up in this type of room, it's hard to recommend the hotel to anyone, unless you're alone or traveling with someone you are used to sharing very close quarters with. Aside from that, it's an above-average Sheraton, with a very credible club lounge by Japanese standards (not that that's saying very much). Platinum+ elites can take breakfast at the club or restaurant (full buffet), and the club lounge evening selection is sufficient for a full meal (3-4 hot items, salads, some canapes).

Ati K.

Yelp
This is a great place but as a platinum member I am very disappointed that then wireless does not work. Keeps dropping the connection and the IT group can't figure out the reason. How is a business person suppose to get any work done? Nothing has changed. Not going to stay here again! Other hotels in the area have faster WiFi.

Yelp
sheraton was my home away from home for close to 2 weeks while on business in hiroshima. likes: 1) room size: HUGE compared to the granvia. plenty of space with a king / california king bed. 2) view: my rooms were directly facing the granvia. not sure what the view it like on the other side of the hotel, but the hotel lobby is located on the 14th floor and rooms don't start until the 15th floor, you can imagine how elevated you feel in your room considering there aren't many tall buildings in hiroshima. 3) service: staff had higher level of proficiency in english than the hotel located right across the parking lot. lol. so if your japanese skills 0 to none, best to stay at the sheraton! 4) decor: the decor is clean and modern. 5) location: located at the hiroshima station. great for all sorts of transportation (shinkansen, jr, maple bus, airport limo). dislikes: 1) toiletries: the quality of toiletries offered were not quality. i felt like the conditioner did not condition my hair what so ever... 2) breakfast buffet: didn't offer much variety each day. after day 3 or 4 was when i became disinterested in the buffet. really couldn't have asked for a better home away from home. definitely recommend sheraton for accommodation in hiroshima.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights and definitely deserves the Five Star! It is right beside the JR train station, A real bonus for us. From the beginning check in, service and staff go above and beyond their call of duty, always with a friendly smile. Decor is modern and contemporary. Rooms were the biggest of all the places we stayed. Great view of the city. Bathroom amenities complete. Items include toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, razor, Q-tips, compact sewing kit, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, robe, slippers, hair dryer, iron/board, safe. Bed was great size (king), mattress and pillows were comfortable. Best sleep I've had during my 10 day stay. We ate at the buffet restaurant for breakfast and the food was good. I had to request a box at the front desk for souvenirs and they were more than accommodating, even sending it up to my room already taped. This is one hotel I would definitely have no hesitation of staying in the next time I'm in Hiroshima

Yelp
Too many great things to write. Excellent service, excellent location to Shinkansen station, excellent rooms & view, excellent food in restaurants (with the exception of the buffet. Food served here was mediocre but for everything else their rating is not compromised), etc. My husband loved their tub/shower combo. Also the king bed was so comfy & room service 24/7! This hotel definitely gave us our best nights sleep while visiting Japan over the course of 16 days. Will definitely stay here EVERY time we go to Hiroshima!

Yelp
This place was awesome. It was everything I could have hoped for and I most assuredly will be back. I was unaware they had a pool and jacuzzi. I was so busy checking out the great city that I didn't notice. My wife and I went to Hiroshima to watch a baseball game and check out the Mazda museum. A problem me and my brother Jefferson Davis have discussed with hotels now is they scald guard their showers. We are from Kentucky. If I don't have my lye soap handy I will often scald the dirt and grime from my body. Often that works better than the crappy complementary deodorant soap they provide you with. NOT HERE. That was the hottest damn shower I ever felt. I couldn't even turn it all the way up. I'm glad my brother wasn't with me. He would have most assuredly made fun of me. I bet he couldn't have went all in either. It was that hot. He'd probably lie and said he did and since we rarely take showers together anymore I couldn't have called him a liar. I DIDNT LIKE the convoluted Internet hookup. It was as if you had two connections in your room I would have been charged extra. I'm already paying nearly $200 a night and u mean to tell me I'm gonna be nickel and dimed because both my wife and I have SMART PHONES. I'm waiting until I get a final bill and see for myself I wasn't charged extra for 2 hookups. If that's the case this would have been a 5 star rating for sure. Perfect location. Great amenities. Super cordial hosts.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Would recommend this hotel to any western travelers visiting the Hiroshima area. The property is immaculate in all respects. My room was spacious. The shower head is tall enough for me to use at 6'4" without having to duck my head. The staff was accomodating and friendly. Everyone seemed to have a very strong grasp of English which made my rudimentary japanse unnecessary. The hotel is located conveniently next to the North / "Shinkansen" (bullet train) exit of the Shin-Hiroshima eki (main train station) which makes traveling in the city very simple. You have access to buses, streetcars, taxis, local trains, as well as the bullet trains. Restaurants (both western and japanese) and some shopping (Fukuya) are within a few minutes walking distance. Most are located near the south exit of the train station and can be accessed via an underground walkway. I will definitely be returning to this Hotel in the future.
