Sheraton Hannover Pelikan Hotel

We stayed two nights here as part of a larger trip in Germany. This hotel is built on the former site of a historic pen factory. It is within walking distance to the huge city park, so within 10 minutes you can be walking through a huge park and forget you are in a major city. Not walkable to downtown Hanover, but it is a quick drive or Uber ride away. Check-in staff were very nice and recognized my Bonvoy elite status with a nice snack thoughtfully placed in our room. You have full access to an excellent breakfast buffet as part of the Executive Lounge. The staff in the Executive Lounge also provides a served dinner, giving you a couple of options based on a weekly menu. The dinner was delicious. There is also a very authentic Italian pizza restaurant adjacent to the property. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Hanover again.

We were meant to stay 2 nights but due to flight cancellations ended up staying 4, staff were brilliant - accommodating, friendly and helpful. Rooms are quirky in line with origins of the building with comfortable beds and pillows and equipped with everything you need. The nearest tram stop is a 2 minute walk with frequent trams into the town - only 5 stops to the main station. I would highly recommend this hotel not least for the warmth and welcome of the staff.

A quick one night stay at this hotel for a business trip. We were in the ground floor. Room was large with an interesting semi circle shower cubicle, which I found really tight and with terrible water pressure. The room overlooked the courtyard so when I opened the blinds, I was a little surprised to see someone having a cigarette right outside my window!|We arrived late because of a cancelled flight so had to pay a cancellation fee. Given the time of our arrival and departure, we didn’t have the opportunity to have the breakfast. Dinner was a quick bite in the pub across the road. |All in all, an acceptable place for a quick one night stay.

The hotel is very nice, and staff were very friendly. Rooms a bit small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It is a bit far from city centre, but the tram station is very close about 4-5 minutes walk. They do have a payed parking €19/ day.

The front desk service was really enthusiastic and professional. They also upgraded us to a suite. Although the room was large, it was a bit empty. The room height was probably more than 3 meters. The overall feeling was very good.

Conveniently located, decent rooms and good staff. Great executive lounge for Bonvoy members. For me, a no-brainer choice in Hannover for personal, family and business stays all.

Staff attentive, friendly and professional |Upgrade recognition for Bonvoy platinum and above also excellent.|Rooms and bedding are comfortable.|Suites have complimentary mini bar which was a nice add on.|The club lounge evening drinks and meal starts at 6.00 pm and no buffet but a choice of one red or two whites, a couple of beers and two mains from the kitchen. Both choices were superb.|Breakfast service from staff. and food choices are superb, one of the best in Germany.|Public transport 2 minutes walk from reception.|Cons. Location is a little isolated.|Fitness centre on weekends doesn’t open until 9.00am.|A few more canapés at the club lounge would be nice.|All in all, the Sheraton has a lot of class and is value for money .|We would certainly recommend this hotel.

I really liked it but I wish i was longer. In most hotels the lounge you can pick what you want from a selection but here you have to order. I really recommend this I'd you are on a roadtrip.

Each night, Vitalii took amazing care of us at the Pelikan Bar. He is attentive, kind, energetic and makes the BEST espresso martini! We highly recommend going to see him during your stay at the Sheraton Pelikan!

Good but not great I'm a lifetime Platinum member and this site is good but employees are training and not on the spot Food is fair Rooms are nice Prices way too high for what you get Maybe but not absolutely yes

Very happily surprised with this amazing hotel in and around the old Pelikan Factory. The bar is perfect and with great ambience. The guest rooms are cute and well maintained and fore sure practical. This hotel is definitely worth a visit for a drink at the bar or a nice overnight stay.

Clean Modern SPG hotel in the heart of Hanover. Lots of facilities with Harry's New York cocktail bar right across the way (you can charge drinks to your room). XII Apostles Resturant is a 1 minute walk away and 5th Avenue Resturant is within the hotel itself. Good place for business meetings, not much going on around the area though. I'd defiantly stay here again if I come back to Hanover.

I stayed at the Sheraton Pelikan last week and I'm very disappointed in how they handled my reservation and feel like it bordered on fraud. I had booked 7 nights across 3 different reservations. They merged them into one reservation and the rate was in the $200/night average. This was all confirmed and verified at booking. Then shortly before I checked in, they raised the rate to $339/night!!! No warning, nothing. When I arrived, I asked the front desk agent to look at the history and fix it. She was unable so went to the back to talk to her manager. I got excuse after excuse, and they refused to change the rate back to what I booked. Furthermore, the manager wouldn't even come out and talk to me. After much frustration, way too much time spent I finally sent a tweet and the twitter team responded promptly, saw that they did indeed increase the rate for no reason, and then asked the hotel to fix it. Eventually, I got the correct rate back, but this was after spending numerous hours going in circles which is never fun, but even worse when you're overseas and have a very tiring work schedule. The hotel also continued to lie - (these are minor). They repeatedly told the folks at corporate that the management had spoken with me, and that never happened. The hotel didn't even come by my room to apologize after they realized that I had caught them. It felt like shady business practices to me. So be aware, if you ever stay here, check the rate you booked and make sure they don't magically increase it.

very polite employees, clean and quite rooms, the sence of stil is great I love this hotel !
