Sheraton Kauai Resort

For someone who enjoys resort style vacation, Sheraton Kauai is definitely a perfect destination. What I liked the best: attitude and service. Everything is truly guest oriented. The entire Marriott/Sheraton team is very welcoming and seems to be dedicated to making their guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. There are multiple activities and workshops, most are complementary, that take place daily. The cherry on top: guests who have a long wait for their departure flights are offered a complementary 30 min use of the hotel's hospitality suite that comes with a full bathroom. That means that families can enjoy ocean/pools even after they have checked out and take a quick shower before heading out to the airport. What can be improved: food in the Lava. The oil that was used for our breakfast meal has been probably re-used many many times to the point that the entire meal had a bitter smell. However, it was an easy fix, as there was plenty of other breakfast options on the island. Our family loved our stay. We definitely recommend this resort.

Beautiful resort. The staff were very helpful. Great location. Ocean view from room was spectacular. The rooms are spacious and nice. We stayed in Building #1. Would recommend this building, as it is quiet and has great ocean views. Would recommend food at Lavas and Rum Fire.

The beach is amazing - that is not arguable! If you’re looking for peaceful & tranquil like I was, this isn’t the place. But if you have kids and want activities right next to an amazing beach, this would definitely be for you. This is a very busy hotel, and it is nice, but all activity seems to revolve around the pool area which also makes it very loud. My room was above the pool area and behind the business dock area so there was noise from the pool and noise from trucks all day long. There was also this random horn that went off all throughout the night. Staff was always super friendly, and the room was okay - there was a sign about moths, etc since this is the garden isle and wet season and one night I had about 20 moths dying in the bathtub so that was not pleasant. Also, remember that delivery (food, groceries, etc) are almost not possible so plan accordingly. I ended up getting pretty sick and had to walk to get cold medicine. This hotel is very nice and is in amazing location right on the beach, it was just way too busy and loud for what I was hoping for.

We have just returned from our second trip to the Sheraton Kawaii resort. The hotel is beautiful. It’s oceanfront, has beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets, the rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly. It is a beautiful property, but our experience was made wonderful by an employee named Qian. We had gotten to know her when we were at this beautiful hotel last December. She is lovely and kind and compassionate. She really took amazing care of us. She totally went out of her way to help us. Our highest recommendations go to her.

The Sheraton Kauai is located in the perfect location on an amazing beach. We were lucky and saw two Hawaiian Monk Seals, sunning themselves on the beach, during our stay. The grounds are lush and beautiful and the resort is especially great at night for walking. There are multiple fire pits and a large and very clean pool, steps from the ocean. There is a second pool on the property, but we didn't visit it. Our room was large and very clean, with a nice balcony. We had a very nice dinner at Rum Fire and enjoyed the live music. I booked a two night stay at this resort over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for a honeymoon trip. We booked a cabana for Christmas Day to spend the whole day at the pool with some friends. We booked it through the concierge who AFTER booking told us there was an additional $200 surge price. The day of we tried to check in and was told it would be an ADDITIONAL $600 on top of what we already paid. The communication between staff was abysmal. I found myself wasting an hour walking between the front desk and the pool trying to get them to talk to each other. We had other plans for the morning but those got delayed. We were told to go ahead with our plans and the manager would reach out to us with a resolution. The manager never contacted us, was surprised to hear that when we showed back up around 1pm. She offered to waive the $600 additional fee and still wanted to charge us full price for the remaining 4 hours of the reservation. I told them they wasted my Christmas morning and wanted to charge a full rate for a half day cabana rental. I canceled it and said Merry Christmas. DO NOT stay here they are disrespectful and incapable of treating guests properly especially considering the exorbitant cost of staying here. You can find better.

Incredible location. Right on the water and a swim able sandy beach. The pool is small but enjoyable. The RumFire restaurant was only open 4 days a week during our November stay. The rooms are nice. We had a gorgeous ocean front view to watch the sunset every night on our lanai. There are also many other beautiful beaches nearby to watch the sun go down and the turtles climb up on for the night. Magical.

The Sheraton Kauai has wonderful welcoming staff! Everyone is so helpful. The studio room with the king bed was the perfect place to spend our 42nd wedding anniversary! The Sheraton and surrounding areas around it are stunningly beautiful! We have been blessed to spend almost 2 weeks here! This is a five star experience!
