Sheraton Ningbo Hotel

Have just been approached in the lounge by the lounge manager, claiming that an issue that the hotel has already resolved was not the hotels fault. They charged 2 different amounts to my card electronically, then claimed they only charged once because of a piece of paper they had, then called to say the amount would be refunded within 10 days and I thought all was good. Then the lounge manager decided to approach my wife to tell her it was not the hotels fault??!! Please explain how a guest could possibly make 2 charges for 2 different amounts to my own credit card from the hotels system? Unbelievable and for a manager to choose to approach a customer and “discuss the issue again” in the lounge at a busy time. Basic customer service training might need refreshing.||The gentleman working in the breakfast restaurant was excellent, remembered what my wife and I had to drink the previous morning and brought them to our table. He was helpful and setting a great standard for the hotel.||The hotel is in a good location, have always had nice rooms and yes things are probably a little dated but clean and in general a decent place to stay when visiting Ningbo.||Likely to give another hotel a chance on my next visit after the poor experience this time, but hopefully for most guests they have a good experience and do not have to experience the issue and lack of ownership that I did.

I stayed about one month in 2024 here, and then one week in March 2025. The building is relatively old, but fairly well maintained; e.g., the gym machines are old, but work still fine. By the way, some local gym members exercise without their shirt or shoes on, which is "disturbing'', but the people managing the gym do nothing about the problem, despite that I pointed out the problem a number of times. ||They have a big pool (about 25m long), which is rare these days. Also their sauna is good as it is hot enough with a water-spraying faucet. The location is good, although the main city attractions are across a river, which one can get to with taxi or subway (only a couple of stops away), and there is a subway station close to the hotel. A big shopping center is nearby.||The hotel staff members are all very responsive and eager to help, including the front desk and concierge. As a Bonvoy platinum member, the best part is the club lounge and the staff there including William---I only managed to remember his name, but had their name badges been bigger, I would have been able to name more members who are all very helpful and diligent. The food and drinks there are fine.||If you stay for a long time, Sheraton Ningbo provides the best value for money, because their rates are about 20-30% lower than the other Bonvoy hotels such as Westin or Marriott, and yet the rooms are good size (about 35-40 m2?), and they provide laundry credits (100 Yuan per day) in club rooms that is cumulative. So, staying in a club-level room, food, drink and laundry problems are all solved. ||I will come to Ningbo for a long-term stay again, and definitely, Sheraton Ningbo will be my home away home, as well as an office.

The hotel is in a good location, as it is close to the city centre, and there are some good restaurants nearby. O’Reilly’s pub is just across the road. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the air conditioning worked well. I was a little disappointed, however, to discover that there was no laundry service. Also, modern hotels now have robots. Perhaps the Sheraton should follow suit.

Stayed 4 nights for business. Pros - Rooms were large, staff friendly, and extremely helpful and attentive. Cons - Shower pressure on 19th floor was terrible, and the room service choices were limited and not hugely exciting, though beautifully presented. Ideally located in the city with lots of food options nearby for those who can speak/read mandarin, and only a short taxi ride from the airport.

Great location in Ningbo’s CBD, close to bars restaurants and amenities- 15min by bus to the Railway station. Staff are all awesome, emailing me in advance to welcome me, arranged cake for my bday, organised a lovely Exec Club Level Room with amazing views. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service and food/ drink quality in the Exec Lounge was outstanding - special shout-out to William and the other lovely ladies smiling their way through the evening happy hour. We loved our stay and would love to come come back, highly recommended

We had another excellent stay here for my son's 9th birthday. Among all the Ningbo hotels, this has always been our favourite. Although a little older than others, the staff her have always been exceptional. Our most recent stay was no different: the outstanding staff outdid themselves with a beautiful suite for us (SNA applied and accepted), and balloons, lights and a birthday cake for a very happy 9-year-old!||I don't know how many times we stayed here in 2023, but certainly more than ten. It has been one of our favourite for a long time, and continues to be so.||Thank you to all the wonderful staff. Special thank you to William, Bella, and all the Guest Service
