Sheraton Hotel • Escazú

My husband had a leg injury during our vacation. We had to change our travel plans and chose the Sheraton for 4 nights. We arrived late in the evening, after a day at hospital, tired and distressed. Once Angelique on reception realised our situation, she was compassionate and helpful, providing information on ice packs and extra pillows we would need. We were given an upgrade to our room, which was so good and given information and a discount to eat at the bar that night. This was all such a relief and we felt comfortable at the hotel from that point. ||During our time there we stayed at the hotel during much of the day, eating in the Ivory bar (excellent food, drinks and service), and enjoying the pool table in reception for a break and visiting the casino once.||Staff at all times were super helpful and friendly. George in the Ivory bar was amazing and his colleague Marco did amazing cocktails- thank you.||Our room was large, very clean, housekeeping daily and we had breakfast in the club lounge which was a beautiful setting, with great service from Miguel Angel who was excellent. ||Ariana on reception was very helpful and kind during our stay even arranging a small food gift in our room which was very appreciated.||We did eat in the Roma restaurant once but found the setting cold, the service was not as attentive and the food was mediocre. We did feed that back to our server after the meal. ||The rooftop pool was welcome and warm, but does need some upgrading to meet the standards seen in the rest of the hotel. ||Overall this was an excellent experience in our circumstances and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. We will return here on our next trip to Costa Rica.

My husband and I were in San Jose for business and our anniversary and found this property not far from our work and decided to celebrate part of our anniversary here.||As lifetime platinum Marriott members were eligible for upgrades. To our pleasant surprise Christine at the front desk upgraded us to the presidential suite!||Thank you Christine again for making our stay extra special.||We were also pleasantly surprised by the pool…a good size and clean pool surrounded by beautiful trees and plants!|A beautiful oasis. 😊||The gym is not big but adequate and kept clean. ||The breakfast was fresh, solid and satisfying with a good amount of options to choose from. Coffee was good not watery or strong ….but a good medium roast coffee.||Christine, jasmine and the rest of the front staff were professional, and kind! ||For the price, cleanliness, location and the great vibe staff we highly recommend this hotel! ||Thank you front desk!|Have a great rest of your summer ! 😎||Donancy |❤️❤️

I got extremely sick while staying at this hotel the weekend of Aug. 25. The staff called to check on me & sent complementary EMS to my room, twice! They took good care of me and were very thoughtful & compassionate. The hotel and their staff exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend this Sheraton. Thanks to the staff & EMS I made it through!

We had a very pleasant experience. Our stay was only one night and I wish it was longer. The hotel is very nice. Super clean with incredible staff that were very helpful and polite. The rooms were spacious, with the most comfortable beds. The shower was hot and the soaps provided smelt wonderful. There were enough towels for everyone. I had forgotten a toothbrush and within minutes housekeeping provided me with a kit that included a toothbrush and toothpaste. The in room coffee was delicious with a user friendly machine so it was easy to make. There was also 2 complimentary water bottles which was greatly appreciated, as well as a water station next to the elevators. The breakfast that was included offered delicious coffee, and a beautiful selection of fruit pastries and an assortment of hot foods. There was plenty of selection, including gluten free bread and other options. Overall our stay was comfortable and very enjoyable.

A great place to stay near San Jose. Peaceful, quiet, nice, great amenities. We like to stay here when we’re traveling to the city for errands and appointments. The taxi ride downtown is quick and cheap.

Avoid hotel. I booked a room for my family of 4. When I got there they stated that they needed to charge an extra $50 per kid per night because it only showed 2 adults for the reservation. Which is always how I do it (I travel weekly for work). Never had an issue but this place is trying to take and make money off you. As someone who is Titanium status I found it to be ridiculous. I could’ve just gotten a really nice Airbnb. So that’s what I did, stayed one night and went and booked a Airbnb. Not to mention the room smelled and wasn’t clean. Hair on the floors and blood in the sink

Super nice hotel. Room was spacious and ways clean. Toiletries were good. The breakfast, while selection is not wide, was good. Room service was also good and efficient. Staff were always attentive and helpful. There’s also a free car service to nearby establishments. I was here for a business trip and my company was included in the list of free companies. It had a gym and a swimming poil at the rooftop. Location wise, it’s a 5-min walk to Multiplaza Escazu. So you have a wide selection of restaurants and shops.

This hotel is kind off good. The staff is grate but just make sure when you are living the place, the wants to charge you for stuff that you did not used.
