My husband had a leg injury during our vacation. We had to change our travel plans and chose the Sheraton for 4 nights. We arrived late in the evening, after a day at hospital, tired and distressed. Once Angelique on reception realised our situation, she was compassionate and helpful, providing information on ice packs and extra pillows we would need. We were given an upgrade to our room, which was so good and given information and a discount to eat at the bar that night. This was all such a relief and we felt comfortable at the hotel from that point. ||During our time there we stayed at the hotel during much of the day, eating in the Ivory bar (excellent food, drinks and service), and enjoying the pool table in reception for a break and visiting the casino once.||Staff at all times were super helpful and friendly. George in the Ivory bar was amazing and his colleague Marco did amazing cocktails- thank you.||Our room was large, very clean, housekeeping daily and we had breakfast in the club lounge which was a beautiful setting, with great service from Miguel Angel who was excellent. ||Ariana on reception was very helpful and kind during our stay even arranging a small food gift in our room which was very appreciated.||We did eat in the Roma restaurant once but found the setting cold, the service was not as attentive and the food was mediocre. We did feed that back to our server after the meal. ||The rooftop pool was welcome and warm, but does need some upgrading to meet the standards seen in the rest of the hotel. ||Overall this was an excellent experience in our circumstances and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. We will return here on our next trip to Costa Rica.
