Sheraton Santo Domingo Hotel

First off, this hotel is ocean front. From the time that I pulled in the resort, the butlers greeted me. Then I walked in and the check in process went flawlessly. I asked certain questions about the local supermarket and spirits store and they were answered with grace. I’m a Titanium Elite member with Marriott so I was honored a free upgrade to one of this hotels full ocean front rooms. The room had spectacular views. Also, because of my Elite status, I was able to enjoy two snack meals a day at the lounge. This was extremely joyous because after a long day of sight-seeing, you can become famish but the Club lounge was 24 hour access. I additionally, had a personal concierge service personal. She was amazing and she had the softest most welcoming voice ever. She told me that I had one complimentary massage. So I took advantage of that and the masseuse there, Teresa was absolutely amazing. I was unaware as to the point of total bliss that I needed but her hands were magical and I actually fell asleep. Besides he very helpful demeanor she was the definitely the nicest person in DR. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was filled with local dishes and it was complimentary as well. Please, if you want a feeling of royalty and seclusion like I desired then I strongly suggest this hotel for all Bonvoy members.

Ten stars! The service here is amazing. The staff is cordial, sincere, and professional. They greet you by name once introduced. A special shout out to Angelo and Rosie at the front desk who greeted me with a smile every time I entered and offered exceptional support services. Nelsey, the concierge, offered great advice on restaurants and beach excursions, and asked me daily if I needed anything to let her know. She is the epitome of hospitality! Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay.

Stay was very nice clean amenities very nice gym, pool, bar and restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. I found the room to be very nice as well and the cleaning service did an exceptional job. I would definitely recommend coming here and staying in this area.

Only been here one day from NY but very good experience with everyone especially Emiliano in the pool. He had me try mamajuana and it was amazing.highly recommend! Also their breakfast omelette was amazing! Plan on coming back in the future!

The hotel's location is great. There is a supermarkets, drug stores, bodegas and restaurants within nearby walking distance. The entry, gym and pool facilities are great. Overall the facility is clean but the rooms need updating.I was in Room 719. I found the towels to be hard and uncomfortable on my skin. It's probably due to the water quality of the city, but you would think that this hotel would have a water softener system. Overall I would rate this hotel 3.5 stars based on the American standard.

Comfy beds, clean room, comfy pillows, refreshing toilet paper, and great service. There is a great view of the shoreline here. Pool faces the ocean so there’s a clear view from up top. AC blows cold. Drinks and snacks are provided to allow for a comfy stay. Thank you

Beautiful Hotel. Perfectly situated close to the colonial zone and all the great attractions and restaurants. Great staff from Rafael el maletero to the great lobby bar bartenders to the phenomenal Massage with Teresa in the Spa. It’s my go to every time in Santo Domingo.

I visit my boyfriend once a month and I decided to stay at the Sheraton on this particular trip. My reservation was for 2 people, and I registered him when he arrived. The remaining 4 days I was there was extremely uncomfortable, because the security officers went out of their way to chase us down everytime I walked in with him. Because he is Dominican, they repeatedly harassed us everytime we returned to the hotel. I had to keep giving them my room number and explaining to them that he is a guest here. This property needs to find another way to screen their guest. They said it was for my safety, but if you see me with the same person everyday, why are you harassing us? Are Dominicans not allowed to stay at their property? If he was walking alone, then I understand you stopping him. But when we are together it's ridiculous. This made my stay horrible. I didn't feel comfortable staying there because of their treatment to me and my guest.
