We are Marriott owners and had never stayed at a Sheraton before. This resort far exceeded our expectations. It is newly renovated, they stock the room with all the essentials, including laundry detergent and did not hesitate when we asked for anything (additional coffee filters, coffee, etc). I think Marriott might need to incorporate these changes for all Villa brands. ||Highly recommend this resort.

Lovely resort with great views, restaurants & shops nearby, hot tubs, walking/bicycle trails, gondola rides to the top of the mountains. Our room had a kitchenette with microwave, 2 burner electric stove, dishwasher, fridge and accessories needed. One downside was the low water pressure in the shower. Breakfast options on site not that great in my opinion. However, there are restaurants in the area or downtown ( a few minutes drive).

I had a 10 day stay in an 'upgraded' studio with a mountain view. These rooms are lock-offs where it has an adjoining room. The first 5 days we were woken up by 7AM with cartoons from the next room and kids being kids. Knowing we had an extended stay we expected them to leave so we dealt with it. After they left we received new neighbors who liked to prepare breakfast very loudly at 6AM. We could hear the clanging of them stirring their coffee clearly through the door along with their morning conversations. It was impossible to get a good night sleep.||At this point I requested a room change, even taking a downgrade to a regular studio. This was refused because the computer does not allow downgrades between room types, and the only solution offered was to either put in a noise complaint or have engineering come and put rolled up towels in between the lock off door.||I ended up escalating the issue and leaving a voicemail for the general manager who never called me back. Ultimately we ended up leaving the room vacant for the last few days of our stay and getting lodging elsewhere.||Short list of additional issues besides the thin walls:|- Alarm clock was not reset by housekeeping so woke us up at 5:30AM first day|- Room was unable to maintain steady temperature as set on thermostat|- Shower was backed up with water first day, had engineering come to fix|- Shower handle fell off the wall, had engineering come and fix|- Sliding deck door was not able to latchlock|- Only half of toaster worked||I also gave a poor rating in the automated email asking about my stay which resulted in Kenzie reaching out, but just like the replies here, that is performative. I responded to her email with my issues and never heard back. Not surprised at all with how this resort handles customer service.||Unfortunately I have an encore package I have to use here so will most likely return as to not waste it. I can only hope for better neighbors as there is zero customer service at this location.

On our recent trip I thought we should treat ourselves by splurging and staying in a fancy hotel. I wish I could leave a better review. Since I almost never feel like I need to leave anything but excellent reviews for places we have been. But we were very disappointed in our stay here. The room was ok, the bed was comfortable, the bathtub was deep and the soap smelled good. But I very specifically requested a room in the top of the building. Instead we were put in a room on the lowest floor with rooms. We wanted a good view, did not get one. The patio door did not have a screen on it. We noticed that right away and went back to the front desk to see if we could be move. They told us that none of the patio doors have screens. That seems crazy to me! Why have patio doors if they don't have screens on them? Sadly I specifically booked a more expensive room so that we could have a better view and have a patio door. So that we could sleep with the patio door open. Since there was no screen we could not even enjoy the fresh mountain air. If we would have left the door open the Magpies that were on the roof of the bar right below us could have easily gotten into our room. Be aware if you have a car with you that you will have to pay an extra fee to park it on the property. Another thing that I did not know. If it states that on their site, then I overlooked that. Another reason we stayed here was to do laundry. At least the stack unit washer and dryer worked. Although the washer seemed rather off balance. Between loads I had to keep pushing it further back in the closet it was in. Because it was walking it's self forward. Not to mention with it running like that, it was incredibly noisy and we had 6 loads of laundry to do. Additionally they do not offer anything for food in with what you pay. (Unlike other chains). Honestly we would have been way better off staying in a less expensive hotel. I doubt we will use this chain again unless they are the only thing available in a town that we would have to stay in. Sorry. But this place can't improve on what they give their customers without being aware of the areas that they are lacking in. Will NOT be back. Not worth the money you are going to spend.

We had a great stay at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas! The location is perfect for a ski trip, as it’s a true ski-in/ski-out resort, with the gondola and ski lifts right outside. The convenience of being able to hop on and off the slopes easily is definitely a highlight. The rooms were a bit smaller than we expected, and the second bedroom doesn’t have a window, which was a little odd, but overall the space was comfortable. The full kitchen was incredibly handy for preparing meals, though the lack of an oven was a minor downside. That said, the stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer, small dishwasher, and kitchen utensils were all in great shape and served us well. The hot tubs were fantastic—there are two spacious outdoor ones, and we never had trouble finding space. They were open from 10am-10pm, which was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Free parking in the garage on the basement level of the resort was a nice convenience as well. Dining options were somewhat limited, but the restaurants we tried were great. Overall, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas is a solid choice if you’re looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay while skiing or snowboarding.

Google
We visited Steamboat CO Jan 11, 2025- Jan 17, 2025 and our stay at the Villa was nothing short of amazing, the villa was clean, staff members were wonderful to work with, house keeping kept the villa stocked with fresh linens. Coffee shop downstairs with a express coffee shop. Ski in - ski out honestly couldn't have ask for a better first ski trip for a small family. Highly recommend.

Google
We had a lovely trip- beds were comfortable, room was spacious, and amenities were nice. Hotel was a touch noisy with loud kids in the hallways but that’s on the parents, not the hotel. Ski valet service was top notch. Overall the rooms were nice. I did not like that the bathroom fan could not be turned on (it was automatic and a bit faulty) and the shower glass was designed in a way that it leaked all over the floor. The microwave vent/filters needed to be cleaned or replaced in our room, as when it was used, strong smells of greasy food wafted into the room and lingered for hours

Google
The location of this hotel is incomparable...it's right at the base of two gondolas and a chair lift! The rooms are spacious and well designed for winter, with cubbies and boot trays for winter gear and the ability to use Steamboat Sports (ground floor) to check skis makes starting the day, grabbing the skis and stepping on the gondola a breeze. I will say the bedding has been downgraded since I started coming 20 years ago! two thin flat sheets that don't fit the bed (can't even tuck them!), a mattress pad that has no elastic to keep it in place makes for a bed that comes apart after one night! They seem to be cheaping out on this very important feature of a hotel room....THE BEDDING! Fix this and I'd give them another star.

Yelp
Very nice resort with plenty of eatery and best for skiing. I stayed at the Sharaton and it was lovely we could see the slopes right from our balcony; it was beautiful at night with the all of the Christmas lights. The amenities were great and the customer service was on par. Unfortunately I didn't get to skiing but def will next time. Going to town was a short drive. The ground is even heated driving in and going to the parking lot-which was insanely cool.thered a fire pits, ice skating, and daily activities to keep you occupied when your not skiing

Yelp
Worst experience we've had with a hotel in a long time and it had zero to do with the amenities and everything to do with the service. My wife booked through Priceline in the end of the summer to solidify a good rate (around $200-250/night). We were booking for her birthday in December. Somehow after solidifying the rate early on, it changed to double that when we checked in. We're still trying to figure out where this bait and switch happened, with Priceline or the hotel or whether both are to blame. That being said, we brought it up to hotel staff upon arrival and they seemed more concerned with making excuses or finding reasons to NOT HELP us rather than finding a way to make things better. The front desk lady literally said "we wouldn't help you" in those exact words. Isn't that what hospitality is about? Being there for your customer to make them feel welcome and taken care of? The crazy thing is it wasn't just one employee, it was every employee we talked to at the front desk. Anything we came to them about, they were more concerned with finding ways to not do it than they were with finding ways to make it happen. All excuses and inaction. The day we were leaving was my wife's birthday and she requested a late checkout (because their checkout time is 10 AM, a bit earlier than most hotels). Not only would they not grant her a measely hour extra, but they suggested she use the shower in their gym to wash up after skiing. Homeless people shower in gyms out of necessity. When you're paying over $500/night for a hotel, you expect to be able to use the shower. We travel a LOT and stay in all sorts of hotels and have NEVER been denied a later check out. Most quality hotels will even let you check out as late as 1PM if requested. They fed us some excuse about there being only one cleaning person assigned to each room or something. We've had nothing but horrible experiences with Sheratons across the board and will not be staying at a Sheraton again unless they take some serious action to rectify our horrible experience. All the great amenities become inconsequential when you're treated like crap by the humans working at the hotel.

Yelp
This is our second time staying here and we had a great time. The only negative was the early morning (5:00 am) wake ups from the snow moving front loaders. However, I think that had I brought ear plugs and my noise machine from home it would have drowned out the noise. Which isn't what you think about going to a resort like this, but there you have it. The rooms are comfortable, especially the bed. The sheets and comforters aren't made of polyester so I haven't been waking up sweaty but then cold. I like that they're using big, refillable shampoo, lotion, etc. in the bathroom instead of the single use ones. We've cooked all of our meals in the kitchenette and that has been fine, although we did actively decide against trying the convection microwave for oven things. We've tried both onsite bars and the atmosphere has been fun and the beers were cold although the signature cocktails last night weren't exactly amazing. Oh, and the location for skiing cannot be beat. It's really great.

Yelp
I love coming here especially during ski season. The access to the ski slopes is almost unmatched, and I've been to a few. It's a true ski-in and ski-out ski resort, leave your skis on the same level as the gondolas. The place has amazing views, particularly during the fall color change or winter of course. It's in the process of being completely renovated. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. I love the text approach as well, skip the phone call for a request. I visit several nights a year, being part of the ownership network, and it's a nice place for any time except for the mud season. Trails are not enjoyable and about half of the restaurants are closed during this time. It's cool though and much more peaceful, if that's what you prefer.

Yelp
We used to love this property, until this trip. We recommended to people all the times. 1. We were assigned to a room on the 2nd floor, apparently on top of some type of "working area" of the property, there are constant loud noises coming from underneath starting at 12am till 6-7 am. Then there are people running in the hallway in the morning. Sleepless night. 2. Sink is clogged, water goes down very slowly. 3. The room is smaller than the other studio room we stayed in. 4. The bathroom is also tiny compared to the previous stay. Only one person can be in it at a time. 5. Even the hallway our room was smaller and older looking. Some type of cream were on hallway floor the night when we checked in, the next day still there, just dried up. I guess we were in like the "basement" type of area of the property where no one cares about. I don't expect much being a Marriott platinum, I did not even expect an upgrade. But I also didn't expect to get the worst room on the property. We could have at least gotten a REGULAR room being Marriott platinum? I asked the front desk about switching a room. The answer was NO. We got an downgrade for being Marriott platinum.

Yelp
I've never had a bad stay at this location. I can't believe I haven't reviewed them in a while. The negative reviews I don't get it. We've been staying here since about 6 years ago. Front desk-and everyone in between is totally ok! They're being remodeled right now. From the slopes to the hotel And the owners villa. Bed is sweet. The room spacious ! Good water pressure. Free parking in the garage. What more do you want! Don't forget the champagne powder.

Yelp
We had a great time!! Our granddaughter had so much fun swimming and playing in the activity center. The restaurant was excellent. Our two bedroom villa was great, clean and spacious. We liked it so much we made a reservation for later in the summer.

Yelp
I'm going to go ahead and give this place 5-stars. In full transparency, I think the true rating for the Sheraton should probably be 4-4.5 stars but the current Yelp rating is a bit low at 3.5 so I'm doing my part to bring that up. Let me start with the pros from our trip staying here. Pros: 1. Location. I think it has the best ski access of any hotel in steamboat. 2. The rooms are nice. Our place was clean, comfortable and I love the villas that have full kitchens. 3. Wifi that actually works really well. 4. Great gym. Some hotel gyms suck, but not this one. 5. Multiple thermostats in each villa that actually worked. 6. Overnight ski storage at the hotel right next to the run. Cons we experienced. One of our shower drains didn't work great. Small inconvenience but nothing too bad. Hot tubs one day weren't that hot. Overall we had a great stay and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Kristin S.

Yelp
Great location right on the slopes. The room is good. Love that they have turned these into more livable spaces with kitchenettes and laundry in each room. The lobby area and lounge are very beautiful and have plenty of amenities. Some of the staff have been absolutely wonderful; some of the staff have been beyond put out to be even moderately polite. Pool was supposed to be open by 10 am. I asked the front desk manager, who was irritated that it was 9:58 and I was asking about it. I then asked at 10:05 and he told me he would then call engineering to come up and unlock. Why wouldn't you just call engineering at 9:58? The lady manning the entrance gate needs a hug.

Bro H.

Yelp
An employee told us directly that our complimentary parking pass is good in the oversized lot, and we got a text from the hotel suggesting we park there with a very clear map to the exact lot we parked in. At the end of our vacation the parking lot sent us hundreds of dollars of fines and the hotel says it's my fault, offered me nothing. Truly atrocious customer service.

Raul S.

Yelp
This is the worst place I have ever stayed in the world. No valet parking, no bell personnel, the front desk ladies are very harsh and very condescending . Do not waste your time there apart from the fact that the room was $600 for one night. And they require a 10 am check out believe it or not.:..this is Steamboat not Aspen or Vali or Beaver Creek, for goodness sake, who do this people think they are?????

Traycee W.

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Nice rooms, great jaccuzi overlooking the mountain and Ryland at the front desk was amazing!

Kathie M.

Yelp
We came to Steamboat Springs for our 50th anniversary. They put us in a room with 4 airconditionars outside the bedroom door. We had asked for a balcony so we could sit outside and enjoy the mountain air. We have been caregivers and needed to have some time to relax. As soon as we walked into the room we could hear the loud noise coming from the airconditionars. We went back down and asked to be moved to another room. We were told that they could not move us, mind you this was early in the day and people were still checking in. Neither my husband, who can sleep through almost anything was unable to sleep, I am a light sleeper so forget sleeping for me. My husband called the front desk again, this was after midnight, and was told that there was nothing they could do and we needed to talk to the manager, Christina Kavanaugh, we were told that she would not be in until the next morning at 10:00 am. The next morning we went down to the front desk and she was in a meeting. We talked with another supervisor Jenn, she said that there was nothing they could do that it was all Owner Services problem and that whey could not do anything to change the room for us. We then called Owner Services and we're told that the manager would be the one to take care of the problem for us. We went downstairs and were finally able to talk to the manager. Talk about double talk, finally she said she would talk to the District Manager and after several hours she called and said that all she could do was offer us another day. Can any one tell me how an extra day can make the noise in the room be quiet? As I write this we are still in the room with no help from anyone in the Sheraton corporation. Our 50th anniversary has been frustrating, so much for us being able to relax and more stress has been added on to us. My advice is don't ever buy a timeshare from Sheraton se they do not care about their owners and give them the bad rooms. And by the way we were told that they know that the room we were assigned is very noisy. We had booked our room over 7 months ago.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Amazing accommodations -- so clean and cozy! The room has a stocked mini-kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of closet space. Bed was super comfy, and we really appreciated the robes, delicious-smelling bathroom soaps, and late check out. Can't wait to come back to stay during ski season!

Edward B.

Yelp
First, the resort is about 50 years old but has been totally refurbished. The rooms have become much smaller over the years but they are still top notch. Very clean with great views. My rating is not because the room was not satisfactory. In fact, it was great. The 3 star review is because I am befuddled that the resort is kept open during non-ski season but yet they close their restaurant, their market, their coffee shop, and basically have no activities. I get that it is out of season, however, why leave the resort open, but have none of the activities and amenities that go with it??? Very disappointing to travel a long way to come here and find nothing is available.

Mike J.

Yelp
This is the most pretentious....un customer, friendly resort I have ever visited... I maintain lifetime titanium status, and do a lot of travel at Marriott Bon Voy properties, and this one takes the cake. For whatever reason management has taught these employees that the answer to everything is no... We don't take cash... I know check-in's at 4 o'clock and it's 345, but we have no rooms available... But somehow at 4 o'clock they're magically available. I'm sorry we can't page our Bellman, who has your luggage... He'll be right back... No he wasn't. May I unload my car here ?no... Never again .....this place is ridiculous, and it obviously comes from the top down as this whole attitude of every single employee we dealt with was one of arrogance and can't do attitude .....from employee to employee ....and must come from the senior management . You're the only game in town, so be lucky for that... If you had any competition... You wouldn't stand a chance.!

Paul H.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about this property. It has gone through some major renovations and looks great. The lobby has been transformed into a useful space equipped with a market to by groceries and bar area to have a drink/bite Apres Ski. I was there during their busiest time of year and the staff was fantastic. Everything went smoothly and efficiently from check-in to towel service to ski-check. My room was a fantastic 1 bedroom villa with a separate living room and a well-equipped kitchen. I was able to cook breakfast and dinner with ease. The outdoor pool facilities were clean and always stocked with fresh towels. the shuttle service to town was perfect. Always on time and very accommodating. All in all, this is a fantastic property with great staff. They did a wonderful job at keeping up with the crowds over winter break. Well done!

Dave C.

Yelp
We love coming here! Most recently we came for some spring skiing/boarding action and had a fantastic time. If you don't already know, this is a ski-in, ski-out type resort, where you are basically situated at the foot of the ski lifts (both the chairs as well as the bigger gondola are only a few steps away). Our visits have been over a year apart, and we actually even had the same 3-bedroom villa that we'd had the previous year. Everything was still well kept and looking good, aside from a small tear and some stains on the carpet, which are to be expected given the wear and tear these places probably experience as well as having a full kitchen to make messes in. Once again, not a big deal or anything to be upset about, as it did not take away from the experience or the overall cleanliness of the room. We did have an issue with the fireplace not lighting, but the service staff was prompt and got it fixed within 30 minutes or so. There is a shuttle that can take you into town if you like, and the parking garage normally has enough space that you don't have to walk very far. Pro-tip: If you have a tall vehicle (and especially one with roof racks) be careful in the garage! There are low hanging pipes all over the place.

Andrea P.

Yelp
Horrible. More like a concentration camp than a vacation. The employees at this hotel have been brainwashed to extent that makes it okay to disrespect guests and treat us like children that need scolding. My friends mask fell down off her nose for literally 5 seconds and someone came running up very rudely, "masks over our mouth AND nose AT ALL TIMES PLEASE MAAM" with an attitude like we were all scum of the earth. I was taking a sip of water in the hallway and before I could put my mask back on this curly haired guy who has stalked us the entire visit to make sure our masks are perfectly placed on our faces runs up to me to tell me I'm in violation. I told him I'm drinking a sip of water, he responds frantically, "MASKS ON EVEN WHILE EATING AND DRINKING INSIDE!!!!!!" ...um... huh? ... I was getting in the elevator and the same guy SCREAMED from the lobby into the elevator "MASK OVER YOUR NOSE AT ALL TIMES!!!" (My mask was over my nose)... perhaps he belongs somewhere else where he can't interact w others, especially paying guests. Perhaps quarantine would be a good fit for him. You can't call down to get anyone, you get a recording. Your room will not be clean bc the maids 'can't come while you're staying there bc of covid.' Apparently it makes sense to the brainwashed people here. No common sense to be found. Can't wait to get back to Texas where we are still free. The hotel is physically wonderful, we were planning to come back in March, but after the horrible way we've been treated that took so much fun out of our vacation, we will not be back. WTF Steamboat. WTF Sheraton.

Amanda R.

Yelp
The stay has been nice. They have daily activities, small activities, but at least they offer something extra. The pool is heated and 3 hot tubs as well. Nice food options downstairs as well as a bar. We are here in September, so no ski but I would recommend this week with all the fall color changes! Winter '24 or '25 is gonna be great here after all the outdoor renovations are done with the slopes.

Christopher H.

Yelp
We just stayed here for 5 nights for some late season spring skiing....and it was so convenient! You walk right out and you are on the slopes. There isn't any other option even close at Steamboat. The 2 bedroom , 2 bath vacation villa was perfect for a family of 4- we have 2 young sons. We were able to have breakfast and lunch daily in our room. There's a full size fridge, washer dryer, mudroom type space for your skis and gear. There was a stove top but no formal oven, just a microwave. The heated pool goes up to 104' and is great after a hard day on the slopes. Reasonably priced, and again the proximity to Steamboat is second to none!

Katie F.

Yelp
WHO: Me & the hubby to celebrate our friends! WHAT: A gorgeous wedding set in a field of aspens. WHEN: End of August - 2 weeks to the date, after our own wedding! WHERE: Steamboat! A town i haven't frequented very much but was excited to see! The bride and groom had reserved a block of rooms here, and we were very impressed. I made reservations via telephone (in order to get the wedding rate) and when we pulled up to the front door, we both were in awe of this HUGE hotel/resort right insanely close to the ski lifts. Our room was very nice - overlooked the pool and Steamboat Grand. The view was wonderful from our small balcony, which we sat on throughout the weekend. Rooms are nice, clean and very modern. Attached restaurants were friendly, delicious and not typical mountain prices! We noshed at the grab and go for breakfast - try their burrito! The lobby offers a variety of sitting areas, as well as a pool table and game room attached the bar! The location is perfect as it's close to the runs, close to surrounding restaurants and walking trails! We stayed for 2 days, and although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it. I'd highly recommend staying here for a ski weekend or in the summer - as their is plenty to do and see!

Eric H.

Yelp
Such a disappointment that a "resort" does not know how to deliver resort quality service. Examples: Front Desk manager throws Bellman under the bus because he told us our room would be ready in 30 minutes after going to check in the status of the room at the direction of another Front Desk agent. The room wasn't ready for over an hour, but we doubt that was because housekeeping was still working hard because housekeeping was not on our floor when we got access. Kerry (female) decided to change the channel on the TV in the lounge without asking the only three guests (all 40's and older) what we might like to watch. When we asked "no sports, were watching the news" she replied "that's all said... it's Steamboat, watch sports)... then changed the channel and walked away. And what's with 7 of the 9 faucets in the men's bathroom being broken amid Covid-19 and no hotel staff visibly working in the problem? Sheraton Steamboat is not focused on guests... and this comes from a Titanium Elite traveller woth over 115 nights in Sheraton and Marriott hotels last year. #Sheraton-Steamboat-Such-A-Diappointment

Kara M.

Yelp
I stayed here in May. The hotel was booked with points. They billed me mid June and never said they had any issues with the point reservation. I called them in July and they sent me on a wild goose chase looking for a refund. They didn't call me back. For months neither the hotel nor Marriott could tell me what happened. Dorothy in particular did not return my calls or emails. Joe was ultimately the only one capable of resolving the issue-I was finally refunded after 4 months (he is in vacation rental side)

Chad M.

Yelp
This is a neat location but the customer service and overall friendliness of the staff is horrible. I have over 100 nights in Marriott brands this year and without exception they have all been better than the Sheraton.

Kelly M.

Yelp
We stayed in 703 which is a privately owned condo and it was wonderful. It looks out onto gondola square so you feel part of the action of the resort but without crazy noise. The reservations were made through the resort but when we tried to book it for the summer we were told it would be available only through vrbo. That seems like ok as you are able to use the hotel pool, fitness center and still eat at the restaurant-just can't order room service. We did not interact with the staff very much but the bell team always had a friendly hello and were able to assist with a few questions. The ski shop downstairs was great to rent from and we either walked everywhere or used public transportation which was steps away to get downtown. It was an excellent vacation and we plan to rent that unit again in the future through VRBO. We heard the owners were doing a remodel, which will be nice, but it was still nicely furnished with a mountain feel and plenty of room for the 6 people. (3 full bathrooms!)

Roy P.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Sheraton for eight nights, and the experience was excellent. We reserved a two-bedroom villa. A few notes and comments: - The location can't be beat, with easy ski-in-ski-out. There are three lifts (Wild Blue Gondola, Christie Express and Steamboat Gondola) a short walk from the hotel. There is a ski rental on the first level which was convenient, along with a ski store. Because we were staying at the Sheraton we received a 20% discount on our snowboard rental. - We reserved a 2-bedroom villa, which was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Both bedrooms, and the living area had large TVs. There was a 6-person dining table, clothes washer/dryer combo, and balcony. The full kitchen could have used a few more utensils such as a spatula but no big deal. No fireplace. We did not hear noise from the adjacent rooms (but we did hear drunks singing loudly in the hallway in the wee hours one night). - We were charged $20 per day for parking. There is a parking ramp near the entrance, but the spaces are tight, especially for a large SUV like we had. There are two levels, and we parked on the lower level because there were always spots available. The hotel does not have a shuttle, but there is a bus service (which we didn't use). Steamboat Springs is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. - There is a small restaurant and bar (Saddles) in the hotel near the lobby. We did not eat here, instead opting to walk to some of the local restaurants such as Truffle Pig and Timber & Torch. There is also a market next to the lobby that has a good selection of RTD beverages and food, and also offers coffee and sandwiches. - The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. Of the eight nights we stayed, we received room cleaning three times (which is all we needed). They did a good job and even loaded the dishwasher for us. There was a restaurant charge on our bill that wasn't ours, but the staff quickly corrected it. Check out was 10 am which is earlier than I'm used to, but they did offer late checkout (which we didn't need). - Our 2nd floor had two outside hot tubs which we enjoyed, and there was also a large hot tub and heated swimming pool on the main level (which we didn't use). Overall, big thumbs up on the location, room, staff and amenities. We've stayed here twice now and will continue to choose this hotel when skiing in Steamboat.

Yelp
Comfortable, great view, great service, everything you need on the mountain here there, so many options for dining or staying in, amazing location and super clean. My one suggestion is to use thick comforters on all of the beds including the roll out couches. It makes the evening far more comfortable.

Yelp
I had looked around at various properties when planning a nice Labor Day weekend getaway for my wife and me and finally just looked up Marriott properties since I have a Bonvoy membership. This was one of the choices and I had already seen it on Expedia. I actually got better pricing by booking direct. From check-in to check-out we were very impressed with the property, the accommodations and the staff. We were greeted promptly by a valet as we pulled up who immediately also grabbed a luggage cart and started loading it. He showed us to the front desk where we were told that our room had been upgraded to a two-bedroom unit. Nice. We didn't need the other bedroom, but the additional space was nice and the second bathroom didn't hurt. The room was very nice. It was well-cleaned and appointed. It would be easy to stay here for a week or more. The bed and amenities were great. We decided to order a movie one evening and the process was very smooth. We didn't get the chance to make use of the pool or hot tubs, but we did check out the areas and they were very well kempt. The concierge was incredibly helpful and friendly. Check-out was a breeze. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I don't understand all the negative reviews about service. We stayed 5 nights last week and had a wonderful trip. The service from the front desk to maintenance and everyone inbetween was awesome!! Always called to verify things we asked for were handled. The location can't be beat for ski in/ ski out. It's truly a few steps to put on your skis and go. The only thing I would recommend to The Sheraton Steamboat is to bring your shuttle service back for trips to stores and downtown area. The bus is close, but all the stops are not convenient. That's the one thing I wish they had

Yelp
Inconsiderate customer service. All reservations are centralized and front desk staff is unable to assist with anything more than check in procedures. We have been here 5 years in a row but will not be back. We were provided with a 30 minute window in the middle of the day to change rooms. We were offered no help to make this rushed move and were relocated to a room that was more expensive and not comparable to our original room. We made all efforts to avoid this last minute shuffle but the front desk wasn't concerned with our inconvenience and the additional money their incompetence cost us.

Yelp
Perfect location, literally walk right out to the lifts. The ongoing renovations are a lil inconvenient. Fantastic villa accommodations. Makes such a difference to have a washer and dryer in the unit. I hope to return soon!

Yelp
Nice big rooms and balcony.  Kitchen not have oven dishwasher not clean range elements not work correct vents in baths not work need grab bar shower and toilet area TV not work on gym equipment need many more lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas by pool need hypoallergenic toiletries need dimmer switch for living room lites. Staff acted  like they were doing us a huge favor every time we asked for something. No owners gift in stock - told that at Sheraton Beaver Creek too. No early Ck in or late Ck out for 4 star elite owners.

Yelp
I'm a Villas Owner and I didn't get the same feeling at this resort as I did at my other properties. It was nice and clean, but the staff left a little more to be desired. First off, everything in the hotel was closed due to COVID. I totally get that, but they made no effort to help the guests out. The shoppette was closed and they had a very limited selection of items behind the check-in desk for purchase. When I asked for a soda, they said they were out and that I could use the vending machine in the basement. However, all I had was $20. I asked if they could change it out and they said they had no access to cash. Again...I get that these are weird times, but the hotel itself wasn't packed and I don't think there was any reason for them to not have items like that in stock. The gym also had limited hours...again fine, but I went to the front desk one evening to ask where the gym was located and it's like the woman standing there didn't even listen to my question. All she said was "it's closed and you're not allowed in until the morning." I told her that was fine and I just wanted to know where it was. She again told me "it's closed for the night." So I turned and walked away. All in all, it's a nice hotel, but it's a stretch to call it a Resort. I honestly have received better service at smaller chain properties. As an owner, I think there could have been a little more done on their part. I have another reservation with family and friends during ski season, and I'm hoping for an all-around better experience. Maybe this was just a bad weekend. I'll update as needed.

Yelp
Terrible service. I know the whole covid-19 aspect is hurting business, but as a member with Starwood/Marriott with lifetime Gold status, this hotel sure does not seem to honor you for that. Upon checking in, no one was there to greet us. We were left to haul luggage in by ourselves. Once at desk, there was no thank you for your status. They also failed to mention to us that the restaurant, pool, hot tubs, were all closed also. Upon checking out after a boring stay, the front desk failed to even ask us how everything was. I guess they don't care. I have traveled my entire life to various hotels mainly with Starwood and Marriott and this was by far the most unprofessional hotel.

Yelp
Next to IHG this is my next fav hotel chain. I loved loved looooooved this place. I told them I'd be back. I went for an overnight to visit the Hot Springs, it was amazing! I loved the rooms... we had a view of the ski runs from our room and also the hot tubs. It's in a fun little area. They were doing some road construction last month Sept 2018 so I'm sure it's fine now! Go there it's fun. Go see the little town and mess around. I forgot to mention the fabulous staff they have their and informative as well! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!!

Yelp
This is our second year to vacation at Steamboat. With Covid, things are a little different but we just roll with it. The room was clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is awesome too. We love that you are walking distance to several restaurants. The gondola is really close too but is only open Friday-Sunday for the summer season. With Covid, you have to sign up for the swimming pool. We did not mind this. We were sad that the hot tubs were closed but that was the decision of the county.

Yelp
4/5 stars for our stay. Our unit was great, the views of the mountain and ease of access were wonderful. Walking out and taking 10 steps to the lift is priceless! The only downers were the very small TV's, poor wifi in our corner unit, and lack of kitchen supplies. BUT, we will be coming back as the staff was more than helpful and even with COVID we got to use the gym and pool. Would recommend to anyone visiting this area.

Yelp
Horrible service, everything closes at 9pm, tiny ugly hallways, balcony in the "villa" overlooks the flat rooftop with A/C generators buzzing.

Carley B.

Yelp
Good location. However, the staff at the bar on the second level bar, across from the Starbucks, was discourteous and disrespectful. From the moment we arrived at this space, which is a great location to eat, hang out, and watch the closing events- the staff was unpleasant. It made for an uncomfortable atmosphere- and a hesitance to buy more drinks and food. General questions and requests were asked to turn heaters back on or where is the bathroom, and these were immediately met with sly remarks and impertinence. Not only was this felt by my immediate group, but others mentioned around us felt the same, it then became a running joke of how rude the staff is. We understand you are tired and working hard, but to continue in the future, please show descent common courtesy.

Yelp
Excellent location. The premium 1 bedroom suite Mountain View has a beautiful view. But this is my second time and both times the rooms were not clean. Coffee stains in the Kitchen. Pieces of food on the floor and papers on the bathroom's floor . Some rooms are outdated .

Yelp
We've been going to the Sheraton Steamboat on and off for 11 years. It's one of the best place to stay if you plan to ski at Steamboat. You can walk to many top restaurants and the people are nice. This past year they did a major renovation. The Pro's- 1. New Starbucks coffee and Saddles Market. It's practical. Forgot something? Turn to your left from the lobby and there you have it! Toothbrush and toothpaste, pasta and sauce, pancake box and syrup bottle. 2. Activities room lead by Justin Stewart and Ellie Dorsey. My daughter and I did burning wood art and I finally got my 2 bath bombs done!! Thanks Ellie! There's also Nintendo SWITCH, giant chess board, pool table, ping pong table, and Crooked Key's 10 minute mini Escape Room! Old timey's like us miss the old table shuffleboard. Where did it go? 3. The rooms now include a kitchenette!! We used to eat out every night and got bored of it on the third day but now we can eat in when we feel like it! We were randomly upgraded to 2-BR this year and we fully took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen! Breakfast tastes especially satisfying when you eat it in your JPs! 4. The Fitness Room is now larger with more equipments. I appreciated the bicycle with a simulated cycling view of the countryside of Ireland and France. The room also has a SYNRGY weight machine system and loose weights. I was delighted that they had lockers and 2 showers. 5. The Sheraton shuttle and its staff in the lobby and drivers rocked! Friendly and fast! Thanks Bert(?), Dave, John. The Cons: 1. No longer comfy and cozy. The big sofas and leather chairs are gone. The humongous wooden table where you can fit 15 people between the lobby and the lobby restaurant is gone. The modern seats are now smaller and the seating area are more ? Compartmentalize. Groups bigger than four will not feel welcomed. But there are large tables seating at the Saddle's Lounge. Ahhh! Strategic planning. 2. There's 2 desks at Concierges now but I have only seen one working at a time. If there is another present, they ignore you. No eye contact. No index finger up. So why have 2 desk? Hmm. 3. The old western restaurant at the basement to the right of the Ski Rental shop is now called Timber and Torch. Loved the food but the waiters never ever smile. Except for Ellie, the server that brings you your food. Also, if you hunger for their delicious dinner, DO NOT go between 3-5 pm when they have happy hour. Their ok happy hour food is the ONLY food they will serve during this time 4. Our room 215 must have some sort of allergen. We were all on Zyrtec by the second day. Either it's melted snow into the rugs or stuff from renovations... I don't know.. but once home, we no longer needed them. The king bed was lumpy on the bathroom side. My window side was like a trough and I tried to roll out of the hole every morning. Maybe that explains my back pain while I was there.

Yelp
"Oh, you look so alive [....]" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Review™: Location, location, location. Front desk goes above and beyond, even at crazy hours like 4 A.M. and 5 A.M. MDT. Location. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The front desk employee that helped me the most was from Scottsdale, AZ, or somewhere in that vicinity in the Grand Canyon State. Note is made of this detail so that management can promote the youthful lad at once (ahead of peers). Sheraton Steamboat Resort (SSR) enjoys the hegemony of the perfect location in the ski town of Steamboat (SS). The lift is right there. Water right there. Village is the enveloping area in which SSR is a part. (Location cannot be beat.) There is valet parking for those that are into that. There is garage self-parking structure for those that would chose it. One needs a room key to access it; cue the first instance of the Scottsdale native doing me a solid on faithful trust alone upon arrival at 5 A.M. I needed to get in there, yet naturally had no key. Moreover, I didn't have a reservation confirmed either and it was a pretty solidly booked week. (We dealt with that later.) I asked him a barrage of questions about the area at that early morning hour and he listened attentively. He looked so alive. When he was unsure of the answer or outright knew that he had no clue: he would bring in a colleague that had lived there for longer than him. This is the type of humility in helpfulness that sets professionals apart in the field of hospitality. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parking Adequate Rooms Adequate Convention/Conference/Meeting space Adequate WiFi Adequate. (Free!) Nearby place to purchase ear plugs Adequate. (Walking distance: a couple of blocks downhill [http://www.yelp.com/biz/wild-plum-steamboat-springs]) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rating: Four-stars, "Yay! I'm a fan."

Yelp
We came here during Mudd season on an Interval exchange. We stayed in a villa that had been converted from hotel rooms. Very comfortable and plenty of room in our two bedroom unit with respect to space, but furniture is a little hard. The customer service was among the best we have every experienced. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We can't say enough about how well we were treated! It was our first time in Steamboat Springs and Matthew the Concierge spent an hour with us and was amazing. We plan on returning! Wonderful area with much to see and do.

Yelp
Location and facilities are nice. Staff was nice. But can't get house cleaning and you can't get a late check out. For what you spend a night you would think they would have more services for you.

Yelp
Follow up to below... and trying to give 2 stars but app won't let me!!!.....We did check out and headed to Westin in Avon. Front desk staff and Vistana owner services were quite helpful with switch. I understand that there are nicer Rooms at this Sheraton, but not In the 1 bedroom category...so again, Westin aficionados....beware! **********original review below*********+*+++++++ I wanted to like this place. I'm a Westin (Vistana) timeshare owner and familiar with a high level of quality and service. THIS IS NOT it. We are supposed to be in a 1 bedroom premium villa but this appears to be former Sheraton hotel rooms that have been converted. So far, front desk staff has only been mildly helpful. Considering checking out after only 1 night of 5 night stay and driving 2 hours back down the hill to get back to the Westin in Avon, CO. Westin owners please beware! These Sheraton resorts Just DON'T measure up in luxury, amenities, and most of all service.

Yelp
We lived this place! I suppose I should discount t it because there is no food at the hotel but that's okay. Not their fault (covid). We stayed in a 2BD villa and it was beautiful. I've stayed at fancier hotels before but the villa at the Sheraton is probably the nicest hotel room I've ever seen. Highly recommend. Don't understand the negative reviews. Already planning our next visit.

Yelp
I chose to stay at the Sheraton over the Fairfield in Steamboat for this trip and I'm happy I did! I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite and you can tell that the property has been recently renovated. All of the new finishing touches were beautiful! The bathrooms were beautifully finished, the bedrooms had amazing furniture and of course felt very cozy. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Steamboat!

Yelp
The Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas is an amazing place to stay. As a platinum guest, I was able to book the 2 bedroom villa in the villas tower on an SPG Free Night. Usually, this runs at $899 a night! They gave me the highest floor and a nice view of the ski resort. It gave me one of those really good life feelings. Decor was modern, it had a kitchen, two king beds, a laundromat, and even two decks to walk out on. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely come back. Only thing is the steamboat ski area right outside the resort is so darn expensive. Go check out the howelsen ski area and rent from one stop if you decide to ski out here. Here's a YouTube video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HP-TS0pW3E
