Sheraton Stockholm Hotel (Stockholm, Sweden) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"This was the first Sheraton to open in Europe, back in 1971, and its unassuming concrete façade is now a listed feature. Bedrooms are smart, spacious and understated; some overlook Lake Mälaren or the Old Town. Brasserie 360 serves classic French dishes." - Tablet Hotels

Great Sheraton, with the usual excellent service! ||We received a room upgrade, and it was very welcome after having spent 4 nights in a very small room in Goteborg.||The staff are very friendly & willing to help. The bar staff deserve a mention, since by the second day of our stay already knew our drinks preferences!||The food at the bar & restaurant is excellent, especially the spinach & chanterelle ravioli, which was simply superb. In fact, the food was so good at the restaurant that we didn't even bother to go eat out during our 5-night stay there! The only negative thing about the food was the scrambled eggs at the breakfast buffet, which were terrible.||Highly recommend the Sheraton for a stay in Stockholm!

I had a pleasant stay there. The bed was nice and cozy. There was noise from the bathroom not sure if it was a fan or from a pipe. it did not bother me as it sounded like a white noise to help me sleep. there were so many options for the breakfast buffet. the breakfast was not included with the room. the bar and the restaurant at the hotel were great. the service was excellent. the house keeper was also friendly and made you feel welcome. there was no clock in the room however a wake up call service is available. you can walk to the old town and the metro/subway station is nearby. super convenient.

The first thing that stood out to us is how friendly and really helpful all the staff are. This always makes a huge difference to our trips. Not once was anyone rude in anyway, so big praise to the staff and management here. That said, this is our first visit to Sweden and I’m generally finding all the Swedish people very pleasant. The second thing is the breakfast. This is really great with a huge choice of food and drinks. From fruits and cereals to lively breads, pastries and hot food too. It’s excellent value considering Sweden is generally not the cheapest place to eat out. Again, very nice and helpful staff here. Our room was very comfortable and clean. It was very slightly worn in parts if I was being pedantic but nothing of major concern. There are also super views depending on the room you have. I would certainly look to stay here again on my next visit.

I had a decent stay at the Sheraton Stockholm. It's an older property, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is well maintained. The reception staff were very welcoming, which set a positive tone for my visit. A highlight was the amazing loyalty upgrade I received – a lovely gesture that greatly enhanced my stay. However, I was a bit disappointed with the lounge options; at around 10pm, there were no offerings available – no drinks, snacks, nor staff, even though it was still open. On the plus side, the location is quite convenient, being just a 5-10 minute walk from the central station. This made it easy to get around the city and to the airport.

We really enjoyed staying at the Sheraton Stockholm. All the staff at the reception, bar and restaurant were very kind, lovely and met us with a big smile always. We got help whenever we asked for it. When we had a problem they solved it immediately and I was really surprised. Great view and location. It is close to the tram, shopping center and restaurant. Plus the food was delicious at the hotel. I would definitely love to go back again and stay at the Sheraton. Staying there made our vacation even better.

Google
My fiancée and I have had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Our main reason for choosing Sheraton was the ideal central location. This was really welcome due to the cold weather. |Check-in was fast and we were lucky to have immediate access to our room, although it was still in the morning. |The room was spacious and the bed huge and comfortable. ||The breakfast buffet was good and offered a variety of cold and warm options. We also enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the lobby and had room service once, which was also smooth and tasty. ||Lastly, we were happy with the spacious gym with both cardio and weight lifting equipment.

Google
I stayed at Sheraton Stockholm for a weekend break. I chose the hotel mainly because of its location (near the central station) but also because of Sheraton's reputation for excellent service. The hotel and staff certainly lived up to this reputation. The room was spacious with excellent views on the lake and breakfast was copious with the excellent cinnamon buns. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Stockholm hotel and would strongly recommend this hotel.

Google
Conveniently located near Stockholm central station, Gamla Stan (Old Town) and many more attractions in a walking distance. My only complaint is the bathtub, is so narrow and you can’t really move around, also the bathroom floors weren’t heated like other hotels. But in general it was great stay.

Yelp
We had a great time at this perfect location just on the edge of the old town, but still located to everything... we were able to walk and see, and transferred all the different islands very easily... The hotel has a nice restaurant plus a club lounge on the seventh floor which is great and very convenient ... We had an amazing view of the water, and it was extremely quiet ... Their service was great they were extremely efficient ... and of course, we always enjoy the robes and slippers. They have a little take away café as you are entering the elevator, however, the three days that we were there it never seem to be open .

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights. The overall decor is dated and could use a face lift. I used my suit night awards and while the room was spacious, it was not very impressive. There was a small living room where the TV and mini fridge were located. Honestly, I would have expected this type of upgrade with my titanium status anyway so was hoping for something more special. I think the exec lounge was under construction so they had a substitute area near the dining room. The lounge was a bit sad. Few snacks and beverages, and consistently ran out of coffee (Nespresso pods) everyday that we were there. The other guests, especially business travelers, were not happy with this. In addition, to get your 2 complimentary drinks each night, you had to order at the bar, but they would not serve you there -- instead you had to wait back in the lounge. Just an odd setup. Biggest perks: great location with easy access to sites and transit, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and never had an issue snagging a table.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Arrive early to the executive lounge for happy hour, they get filled quickly. Location: 5* Price: 3* Service: 5* Ambience: 4* Right a5 the edge of old town (gamla stan). Very easy walking distance to main railway station and gamla stan. Executive lounge was great and offered free appetizers with beer and wine or mixed drink (limited) to all who had access. Breakfast was very good and had ample choices. For those none fish eaters, I encourage you to try the various smoked or brined fish here, very low barrier to entry for them and you don't have to commit to it.

Yelp
Great location! They are renovating it, so some floors are off limits but overall the stay was fine. Breakfast selection was decent. Short walking distance to old town Stockholm and the Stockholm central station

Yelp
Very pleasant stay at the Sheraton for our trip to Stockholm. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from city hall and from Gamla Stan--very convenient. We had a king room with a river view and it met our needs well. Room has a mini fridge, coffee maker, robes, and slippers, which were a nice touch. I only wish it had included free breakfast...
google avatar

Yelp
Great water views and great location. Only a few blocks away from the central station and downtown Stockholm. Yet it quiets away from all tourist parts of the city. Extremely easy to get to airport. Tons of restaurants in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This hotel has rooms with beautiful views, but the rooms themselves are not worth the $700 and up price tag. There were numerous damages and it was very outdated. The menu for in room dining is weak. Pretty much just fast food. The sauna was broken. It's just a run down hotel in general. Sheraton needs to renovate this one.
google avatar

Yelp
First this hotel is just fine, but I can tell you it is a bit worn out and tired. But my room was a-okay, nothing to write home about but not bad with a good bed and good shower. I think yoiu cna see wear and tear all around you but the executive loung was nice. The restaurant was very spendy and not that great. But that all said if I was to go back this is probably the best choice for somenoe that is looking for Marriott Bonvoy

Yelp
Clean, comfortable, functional and marvelous. The location is just superb too. Walking distance to great food, city sites and drinks. Across from central station and a short walk to/from the Arlanda Express. You can get anywhere you want to fast and comfortably. Plenty of great hotels in town, but I must say the staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Just nothing bad to say - on and the bar has live music on select evenings! The team and will be back for sure!

Yelp
What a wonderful hotel experience! The room my adult daughter and I stayed in was BIG and so well appointed. We had one minor mechanical issue which they addressed immediately. They allowed us late checkout, which was very helpful given the timing of our flights out. The location is great for walking to Gamla Stan, walking or taking transit to Djurgården, and walking to Central Station.

Yelp
This is a great hotel, it is located in a great area and the views are great from the 7th flood. The service is very good also. The breakfast is top of the line also. I mean it is phenomenal and the staff in there are very friendly and helpful and they are always smiling and willing to help. The hotel as a whole is very clean and the concierge is always on standby and waiting at the door to assist you when you arrive. The entire staff is very accommodating. The concierge lounge offers food, drinks and an abundance of finger foods for the patrons and it is accessible late into the night. If you are going to stay somewhere when you come to Stockholm, this is the place.
google avatar

Justin P.

Yelp
Amazing location, amazing staff who are friendly, clean, great view! Please book here because if you're a tourist you can walk to Gamla Stan area to visit all the sights. Perfect place especially if you have a view out toward the water. If I ever come back to Stockholm, I'll hook with them.

Yelp
A summer night our room was at least 90 degrees. We left the key in to keep the air on while at dinner and asked the front desk to check the air to see if it was working properly. We came back to find the key removed thus turning off the AC and our room was even hotter. Unable to sleep. The club lounge is nothing but a meeting room, no drinks provided other than soda and water. We went to the bar in the lobby and service was so slow we had one drink and left. Really a horrible experience.

Yelp
For a hotel that's $400+ USD a night, I really expected better. The staff was not especially courteous and didn't speak great English. The room was roomy - I'll give it that - but there were no special amenities that you wouldn't find in a standard $200/night type of hotel. Some of the outlets didn't even work, and we had to request a hairdryer to get one. The bathroom was small, lacking in counter space, and poorly designed. I'll try Miss Clara next time.

Yelp
I have spent some time at this hotel. Three years ago for an entire week and then just recently. This is a very good location. It's very close to the important things - across the street and about a block away from the central station. You can ride the Arlanda Express from the airport to the central station in about 15 minutes and then just need to cross the street and walk for about 3 / 4 minutes and you are there. Across the bridge is the old town. Which is among the top 10 must visit spots. If you walk out of the hotel, turn left on the next light you are in the middle of shopping district - souvenir and local Swedish stores are on this nice long pedestrian shopping area. Half way through the shopping area street, is the concert hall where you can catch some nice classic music if you so choose. Heading to the right instead of the left after getting out of the hotel is the ferry station where you can ride to the many islands that make up the great city of Stockholm. If you continue passing the ferry station, you will come upon the old city hall which is very picturesque. Continue on foot by the water, you will soon enter a park where running paths are abundant so are the swans. I have always had the corner room but sometimes get upgraded to the suite which is about 700 sq feet, very large and entirely too big for me with a separate living and sleeping rooms. The hotel has good internet access. Free. The lounge provides breakfast and afternoon snacks as well as warm appetizers and salad during dinner time, complimentary wine and champaign. I think you can do very well at the lounge but if you prefer a big buffet you can also access the breakfast in the main dining room. There is a Sixt not too far from the hotel so you can book your car if you want to go on a day trip. Summer is more expensive than winter. For what it is, this being Sweden and all, it's very inexpensive (read: U.S. metropolitan city price). Because I've stayed here before, it feels very familiar to get around using this spot as the launch pad. Stockholm is made up by hundreds if not thousands of little islands. This hotel faces water and bridges and freeways. So if you like to run you can plan your running path all around the water. Functional and practical. A good place to rest your tired feet.

Yelp
Got here at 3:30am after a 14 hour flight delay and the guy at the desk was very pleasant. Room is nice and efficient. Thankfully I've seen the whole key in the slot turns everything on in the room before, otherwise I'd have no idea what to do. WiFi works well. Basically everything is nice and pleasant with nothing great but everything solid. Good choice to stay for a couple nights.

Yelp
The location can't be beat! We were able to walk to all the sights and museums we wanted to visit. The checkin was quick and the desk was helpful. All of the staff we spoke with knew English which made it super easy to figure out how to get around. The concierge was super helpful and knew the city. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are nice. The walls seem a little thin between the rooms. The room itself and especially the glasses that were in the room at check in definitely were not adequately cleaned. They could definitely do a better job cleaning. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
It's so unfortunate when a good place has horrible people working at it. I absolutely loved my stay at the Sheraton. It's in a great location, great view, and thanks to the access to the spg lounge I was even able to enjoy some free drinks during happy hour. What killed it was the lady at the front desk. The hotel really needs to do something about that lady. She has short curly black hair. We walked in to check into our hotel room and she said that there were no rooms available. That's fine since we went WAY before check in time. But she didn't offer any other options. She just said, oh come back around noon and see if we have rooms then. No love. Just cold cut and dry. Feeling defeated we laid on the lobby sofa just waiting. We were too drained to do any sightseeing since we just got off our crazy flight. Finally, we decided to go back to the front desk. This time, to the nice, sweet Icelandic lady. She's kindly offered us a room we could check in pronto with a minimal fee. YES! Thank you Icelandic lady! And that's not the only thing she did. This time it was check out time. I stood in line and she called me over so I could check out. As I was walking towards the counter, she signaled to the customer BEHIND me and started talking to him and taking care of his needs right over my head! How dare!!! She really has no love. For a hotel to put her at the front as a first and last impression is a no bueno.

Yelp
First off, we were able to get a room at 1130. I was expecting to check our luggage but he offered us up a room, from the platinum line. Those who aren't starwood gold or platinum, this won't matter, but those who are be aware that they have a separate line and actually use it so we were able to bypass a large line and the gentlemen who checked us in went above in beyond with offering a late checkout, telling us about the lounge etc. If you want to be as close to old town as possible and dont want to stay in a hostel, this is your choice. Its an easy walk to old town, and many tourist areas, its easy walking distance from the T Centralen subway stop which is the main station, as well as several hop on hop off bus stops. The air conditioning was not working in our room or the lounge while we were there, and it was frustrating. Stuff happens and that isnt the big deal but there was a definite lack of communication on the whole experience. They ended up putting a fan in our room, which seemed silly but did help. The lounge without AC was probably 85 degrees or more, but if I block that out and focus on the amenities they offered it was much better than most I have stayed at. I will be back to stockholm and will likely stay here again, its simply that convenient and in spite of some issues was still an amazing hotel.
google avatar

Yelp
Sheraton is so close to major sights in Stockholm, walking distance from the bridge that leads to the old city, to the hop-on hop-off buses, the harbor and most places worthy of a visit. They had such helpful staff that warned us that Stockholm taxis are not regulated and each operator has its own price! Don't fall for it, look at the price window I was warned -- and the first taxi in line isn't necessarily the one you should pick. There's a great breakfast buffet that served crepes, decent rooms, and friendly staff.
google avatar

Naz A.

Yelp
LOVE this hotel! We took the Arlanda Express, and got there in no time. The service was top notch and we were able to walk everywhere. We prepaid for the breakfast, which was also really great. There were hot and cold options, a couple smoothies to choose from, and different juices. When booking a room in Stockholm I read about tiny European sized rooms with interior views into the hotel, so we paid for a superior room with an upgraded view and found it to be the perfect size. Another perk was free wifi in the lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
google avatar

Clark P.

Yelp
As Titanium member of Marriott you should at least be able to get a room by the 3 pm check in time but as we checked in at 1:45 had no rooms but told us for sure by 3. As 3 came and went no room and that they could not provide an expected time for it to be ready. At 3:40 after asking for the managers help they gave us 1 of our 2 rooms. Now at 4 still not sure when the other will be ready. They told us it was worth the wait for the great view. See the picture of the great view
google avatar

Yelp
Sheraton is always Sheraton, but this one is all about location. Very close to the central train station. Perfect for a rainy day! Also walking distance to the Old Town, Nobel Museum, Ice bar, and many other attractions.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice hotel in great location. Close to everywhere we wanted to go like old town, restaurants and shops. The lobby needs a little updating and sprucing up. The room is well appointed and spacious. With a wonderful view. Even though it's right on a very busy street, you can't hear the street noise in the room.
google avatar

Antonio M.

Yelp
Overall a very mediocre hotel at a premium price. First the good: friendly staff, great location near most all tourist and transport options, big rooms, nice sheets, good internet, awesome HDTV, excellent coffee shop in the lobby. Now the bad:. Overpriced, cheap fake wood throughout the room, open shower that flooded the entire bathroom, 3 person Max in room fitting four, claustrophobic, crowded lobby, long check in and out process, coded bathrooms (better remember the code), prices for drinks/food. Hotel was never not crowded. You can do better....

Yelp
We stayed at the stockholders Sheraton for 4 nights in November 2017. It is advertised as a 5 star hotel on Priceline and I would rate it as a 4.5 star hotel to leave space for the truly special 5 star hotels. Location of the Sheraton was spectacular for our stay in Stockholm because of its proximity to Stockholm Central. You can hop on the metro or even take a commuter train to anywhere in Sweden or Stockholm. If you are still trying to decide which neighborhood to stay in just stop now and book this Sheraton. The room was clean and was updated although I would say it has probably been a few years since the last update. Nice features include hardwood floors and included slippers. One night we had water views and on another stay we had courtyard views. I came comment on the food but many guests ate at the breakfast buffet and had meals at the restaurant. We always had our meals outside. Espresso house is next door with great drinks, they are the dominant coffee chain in Scandinavia. Pro tip: if you want to splurge for a dinner in Stockholm, look up and make a reservation at Gastrologik. It is phenomenal but pricey dining expensive.

Yelp
I came here for my Honeymoon - in November - so it was cold - which meant lots of time spent in the hotel (for various Honeymoon reasons). My instant impression (through the haze of my joy) were - I loved this place - they had great pay-per-view-honeymoon movies (wink) - the entire room had hardwood blond floors - the view from my window of the bridge from Gamla Stan to the next island south was amazing - room service was great - and we were treated really well. Yelp
I gave it five stars only because it met my expectations as a Sheraton. Sadly, expectations for sheratons are not that high in the travel world. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and quiet except when kids were in the hall so it wasn't soundproof but kids are usually in bed before me. The hotel is very close to the train station, in fact well positioned for all that we did. We enjoyed a welcome drink at the bar but did not eat at their restaurant. The bar hostess was friendly and made a delightful cocktail. Our room was on the 6th floor and had a great view overlooking the water. I am navigationally challenged and this helped me get oriented for the massive walking that we did. I would probably stay here again as I prefer Starwood properties and my gold status would hopefully allow me to get an upgraded room. Apparently you must be platinum to have lounge access which was disappointing. Since Marriott and Starwood merged, and gold status with Marriott allows for a free breakfast, I felt like we were cheated that Starwood gold didn't provide the same. Good location, clean room, no issues.

Yelp
Great location. A bit over priced but fine for wprk travel. Breakfast buffet was very convenient.

Yelp
Stayed here just a few days, very clean and spacious room, very comfortable beds, had your basics, fridge, safe, flat screen t.v. etc. Easy check in and check out. Location was perfect and within walking distance to all the historical landmarks, very convenient. Enjoyed their room service. The portions on their rm service was huge enough for several people. They had thee best fries, so crisp and just perfect. Can't say the same for all their other dishes, I feel the kitchen needed some help. The hotel restaurant was just horrible but aside from that the hotel itself was excellent. I loved the decor at the bar and restaurant as well as the entryway. The staff were hospital and efficient. Overall a great experience!
google avatar

Milly V.

Yelp
Great service, friendly staff! Delicious breakfast buffet. Drinks at the bar were good, recommend the "Drambolada" drink. If you're new to Stockholm they have good Swedish meatballs from the bar menu.
google avatar

Bebe K.

Yelp
The hotel was close to the Central Train station and main Metra station. The hotel restaurant was clean and courteous, but you've got to ask for your discount if you have elite Gold status. They don't ask. If you empty out the refrigerator so you can stock your own beverages, they automatic sensors notice that the stock has been removed. When you check out be sure to tell the front desk that although the beverages were taken out of the fridge that you didn't drink them. The manager was very nice about correcting the bill. There are free printers in the lobby. The concierge was very helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Nice staff. Security guard exceptional. No platinum room available. . However the concierge happy hour and staff were great. Good location and we would stay there again

Yelp
Just disgusted by the Management here. Very pretty hotel, well situated. But experience was so disappointing. I am a lifetime Titanium level member, 2nd year in row ambassador level since Marriott started the program. For those who may not know that mean at least 100 nights and $20,000 spent on stays in a Marriott property. I planned a long weekend in Stockholm and used reward points and an upgrade certificate for my stay. The upgrade was confirmed. When I arrived my guaranteed room with early arrival was not ready. 2 hours later it was still not ready, 4 hours later still not ready! Finally at 6 hours I suggested maybe I go somewhere else. The front desk finally got a room opened up but it was another level higher than my upgrade request. I did not request it, they did not ask if I wanted it and no mention that I would be charged for it. It was a wonderful room and I mistakenly thought a nice way to say sorry for the inconvenience to an important customer. Several days later I checked out to a bill over $600. I had to show them the rewards reservation and upgrade confirmation emails from my phone. Luckily no charges were made to my credit card, however an extra 100K for each night were taken out of my rewards balance! I believe they were trying to recoup the second level upgrade! I emailed my "Ambassador" who was completely useless. Despite showing evidence of my reservation and single level upgrade, no one has challenged the property on the justification, shown a request or authorization to take another upgrade level. I've been trying to get a refund the additional 300K in point for weeks now. The average points for a room is 40K a night. I thought maybe other might want to know stay here and you will get ripped off. This property management does not appear to know how to manage their rooms, and by some of the reviews seems like I am not the only titanium level person to incur this issue Stay away from this property!!!

Sympo P.

Yelp
The hotel made me pay 450SEK(40€) for a 10min call with Marriot international line. They did not have a local line. Will not recommend in any way as receiptionist were not at all understanding. Overall expérience is a lot worst than at Sixt 5min from it.

Yelp
I can't say enough about how well we were treated at this Sheraton. The staff were extremely attentive and kind and they anticipated our needs. Breakfast is amazing and our rooms were clean and incredibly comfortable!
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I just spent a long weekend in Stockholm and stayed at the Sheraton all four nights. Others have complained about the condition of the hotel or the room size. This was not our experience. We had a spacious, two room suite overlooking downtown Stockholm. The room was in excellent condition. The condition of the lounge, the fitness center, and the restaurant/bar areas were also top notch. The best part of our stay, however, was the staff. I know that I will fail to mention some of the standouts, but Derek in the Club Lounge, Ida and Elin with the concierge team, Tobias and Sage in the bar area, Paula at the front desk--they really set the Sheraton apart from other experiences we've had both while traveling and frankly, while visiting other places in Stockholm even just this past weekend. I would highly recommend the Sheraton.
google avatar

Nate D.

Yelp
Do not stay here! The staff is very uncooperative and difficult to deal with as well. If you are a frequent Marriott/spg customer with high standards you will be sorely disappointed if you utilize this property. This hotel is in major need of a renovation as well. As a platinum elite with Marriott for many years, booking this hotel was a huge mistake.

Yelp
The Sheraton is everything I could possibly want in a hotel. The service is exceptional. On our second visit, several people whom I didn't remember initially (a very nice French girl) still knew exactly who we were and addressed us by name. Everyone was always cheerful, helpful, and very accommodating. Several of the people there were actually Dutch like me, turned out one of them is actually a friend of my little brother's! (small country haha) And trust me, I'm not just saying the service was stellar because they ARE Dutch, because as far as I'm concerned, there's no country in the world that has worse customer service than The Netherlands. The Sheraton was worlds apart in the quality of their service, it was truly memorable. They even kept our suitcases for an entire week as we traveled elsewhere with a smaller suitcase! Twice we arrived in Stockholm at about 6am, and both times they made every possible effort to get us a room as quickly as possible. They apologized profusely for being unable to accommodate us sooner, and took our cell phone number to let us know right away when a room opened up. On our third visit they actually prioritized us, and had a room cleaned out and ready by 8AM (!!!) The third time we stayed at the Sheraton we had a suite, and they are beautiful, spacious, with great air conditioning and fabulous views of Gamla Stan, the history old town of Stockholm. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are perfectly clean, and when we were in the suite, they brought us a fruit plate and wine. On that third visit we were in Stockholm for my little brother's wedding. Despite the fact that the wedding was held elsewhere, they treated all of us like honored guests. For the small welcome party the day before the wedding, they had even imported Dutch snacks that I've never seen outside of our country!! And the room keys, wow. They had one of the engagement pictures of my brother and his fiancee printed on the key itself, and they came in a sleeve that had the program for the next two days printed on it. To top it all off, they had full newspapers from the various countries of the wedding guests. For us they had a different brand new major Dutch paper every day, printed in their entirety, full size. Wow! I truly cannot find a single thing to complain about, the Sheraton is without question one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in, and 90% of that is because of the awesome people who work there!

Yelp
Location location location. Can't get any better than this!!! It's about 20 minutes of walking to all the cool Stockholm attractions. First impression is important and the staff here greeted us with kindness and concierge helped us get reservation (at Kryp In) and pointed us to a great place for lunch (Siam). The room we are staying in (with king size bed), is clean and huge. Location, location, location. That's all I have to say folks!

Yelp
The hotel itself is nice enough, as is the location, but this is definitely NOT a five-star hotel. After an overnight flight from the USA, we arrived at the hotel at 2:30 PM, found no one to help us with our bags, and dragged them into the check-in line, where, after about a 20-minute wait, were told there were NO rooms ready (thus explaining why there were approximately 80-100 people milling about in the registration area). The clerk told us to check back in "approximately one hour", when our room should be ready, and gave us two drink tickets. We went back an hour later, and were told it would be "just another 30-40 minutes". (It turned out to be after 4:30 PM before we were given access to our room.) We were not alone in having a lengthy delay--we spoke to one guest who had waited nearly six hours for his room. When it came time to check out, I ran into a problem with receiving credit for what the cruise line was supposed to pay. The hotel insisted I pay FULL RATE for the room, even though when I arranged the upgrade to a suite by phone with them approximately two weeks ahead of time, they tried to charge me the full rate, not understanding that the cruise line was already paying them for a standard room. I had to get the Front Desk Manager involved, and held up the check-out line for nearly 30 minutes to get the problem resolved. He, incidentally, spoke excellent English, so language was not a barrier. Additionally, when I arranged the upgrade, I was promised "a nice suite on an upper floor." I got a nice suite, but it was on the third floor. The other problem with the hotel is that they do not seem to have ample capacity to seat their guests at breakfast--it is virtually impossible to find a table at which to eat, although the breakfast buffet is very good. If this is a five-star hotel, then the rating system needs serious revamping.

Yelp
The "Standard room"is nice enough, Good variety of amenities for personal grooming, two bottles of water a day provided- always love that! But get up as high as possible to quiet the street noise. The bed is a little on the hard side but the hotel and room are nice and clean. The staff is helpful and the location is good. The hotel buffet breakfast has all you could ask for. The Stockholm information center is right around the corner - very useful to book all sightseeing ventures. I purchased the three day stockholm pass and found that i didn't get the value out of it as i prefer to see the city by bike, i think the true value would be gained by using the free public transportation that is included. But do check it out, almost every museum has free entrance included with the card. I think only the ABBA museum is not included?? Stockholm city bikes area available right out in front of the hotel (in my opinion the best way to see any city is on a bike). You can purchase the pass at the hotel or any 7-11 in Stockholm, it's good for 3 days and cost about $25 dollars. My advice is to get on a bike and seek out all the amazing, unbelievable, beautiful parks and open space preserves that this beautiful city has to offer. It seems like the Swedes are serious about visiting nature as often as possible and this city is a testament to it. Have fun!

Yelp
As a Titanium member- I was TOTALLY aggast that we were told. You have a corporate rate- no points, no status, no concierge & we are putting by the ice machine & elevator- totally against your profile. Really- absolutely NO customer service. I extended the Stu on my own- less cost, upgrade to suite- but I would NOT recommend this hotel as a Marriott Bonoy option- they don't care or take care of you!!!

Yelp
Great staff, great quiet rooms, good bar, good enough gym. Only thing keeping it from five stars was the first floor room that I stayed in on my last night. Not nearly as comfy as the room on the 8th floor I had for most of the week. (I had an unexpected extra night)

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and nice rooms. I am a platinum guest with Sheraton and was staying with my gold guest friends. I gave it one star because of the check in staff (the whole day's worth.) We realized that check in time was at 3pm from the web site. The check in clerk told me to check back at 1pm, so we did. That was the biggest mistake we could have ever made. The female supervisor (short stature with short blond hair probably pulled back into a bun or clean pony tail and she had a name like "Nerfo"; she wore a uniform like the rest of the staff) yelled at us loudly through the lobby and screamed that "check in time was 3pm and not to come back until that time." She rolled her eyes and then made looks at the other staff. She then yelled at the agent that checked us in not to talk to us. We tried to explain that we were told to come back to check on our room by the first agent and she ignored us. She called the next person in line and would no longer acknowledge us. I wrote down her name but cannot find it, she was a horror! Only supervisor working check in lines on 31/07/2012; not the manager fielding problems in the hotel lobby. I had medicine in my bag and jewelry that would not fit in the safe deposit boxes (I take over 60 pills a day and missing one could mean a hospital stay.) There were no other options that to carry my two bags with me. What was I to do? I did not want to chance and take my things on a tour because of the warning of pick pockets on monitors through out each public area. I did not spend any money at the hotel because of her and will choose to stay somewhere else when I visit Stockholm again (friends say the Nordic light Hotel experience was just that - light.) I cannot stress enough how rude the staff was at the Sheraton. After the first event and the supervisor showed that it was ok to be rude, the rest of the staff were rude to us and others through out the check in process. To top it all off - when we came back at 3pm our room was NOT ready. We had to wait until about 5pm. Hotel Manager - you really need to improve your housekeeping staff's process of cleaning rooms on high turnover days. The maid was banging at our door each morning at 8am and stood in the hallway until people left or checked out. How about sending the rooms that check out to a paging system? After the room is cleaned have the maids dial up the room status over the telephone? This might expedite the check in process?! If you have these in effect then they are not working. I spent over 30 years managing Las Vegas hotels and I know first hand the difficulties of running a hotel on busy days. I never would and will accept anyone being rude!

Yelp
Wow! Such a wonderful experience! We got into Stockholm early (like 7:30 AM) and it was such a load off our backs to be told that our room was ready right then AND it was upgraded to a top floor (amazing view) and a large room. Our room had A WRAP-AROUND BALCONY which was just simply fabulous to say the least. The beds were comfortable, and it was a great location-just minutes into charming old town. All staff were friendly (housekeeping says hello as you walk down the hall, etc.) Breakfast was such a wonderful buffet in a room with big windows and lots of light. Our room was usually made up by the time we got back from breakfast. Now-my favorite part- we told them last night that we would be leaving tomorrow at 4:30 AM. They MADE US BREAKFAST to eat on the road. So sweet! I have never stayed in Sheraton before and LOVED IT!!

Yelp
I feel bad for the person who checked in last week and had a bad expirence. When we arrived on 10 August at 0845 we were greeted by very friendly staff and our room was ready immediately. Everyone we met speaks wonderful English and is very attentive. The rooms are big for Europe and the beds are very comfortable We have a beautiful view of the old town area and the location is very convenient I highly recommend

Yelp
I'm from California, the land of vegetarians, so when I travel, I'm sometimes underwhelmed by the offerings at many restaurants. I was delighted with my meal at 360. I started with the Quinoa Salad and had the Summer vegetable entree, along with some homemade rye bread. Everything was so good, I came back the next night and ordered the exact same meal! Thank you for making this California girl feel right at home in Stockholm.
