Absolutely fabulous stay with Tom and Rowena, who are delightfully personable, knowledgeable, and humourous. The breakfasts were outstanding (best scrambled eggs I've ever had!) and our room on the upper floor was very comfortable and quiet, with a lovely view of city centre/the castle when the clouds lifted. The location is wonderfully close to Leith and a half hour or so walk from city centre or an easy bus ride. Unhesitatingly recommended!

You will never find more lovely and gracious hosts than Tom and Rowena, who go above and beyond for their guests at every turn. Beautifully appointed, comfortable, immaculate and quiet, SGH is undeniably an oasis after a busy day. There is easy access to center city with a bus stop across the street. The Royal Yacht, Britannia, restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. Rowena’s outstanding breakfast menu is not to be missed, and Tom can direct you easily to anywhere you want to go and also to places you didn’t know you wanted to go. You will truly enjoy a stay at Sheridan Guest House. We certainly did.

Our third stay, and already planning to stay next year. ||The location works perfectly for us, as it’s easy to get into the City, whether walking, or by bus/taxi.||The rooms are lovely, and the whole house is sparkling clean and beautifully furnished. ||Tom and Rowena are exceptional hosts, and Rowena’s breakfasts are simply unbeatable. She can really cook!||We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Enough said!

Tom and Rowena are gorgeous hosts in this beautiful place in Leith. The breakfast options are aplenty, on top of a good small buffet of fruit, yoghurt and cold cuts. Our room was comfortable, clean and homely. The only downside was the bathroom and toilet were kinda tiny so just take it into account if you need more space. Would definitely stay again 10/10 recommend this to others - as it's within 3 minutes' walk of at least 3 different bus routes.

Our stay at The Sheridan Guest House was perfect! The 250 year old home was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Tom and his wife were most accommodating. They went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Their home is located in new town, and less than a block from a bus stop. Getting into old town was simple, with no bus transfers.

Such a lovely little hotel. Tom and his wife were perfectly looking after us. From a great breakfast to traveling and sightseeing tips. Although you might think that it is not absolutely down town it is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood. Bus stop just across the street and a wonderful walkway to the water of Leith.

Such a lovely welcome from Rowena when we first arrived. The house is stunning, the garden is beautiful. Our room was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Warm, clean and cosy. Tom couldn’t have been more helpful, kind and so knowledgable. The breakfast was so fresh and tasty and Rowena's homemade bread was delicious. My husband’s dietary needs were also catered for. Thank you so much Tom and Rowena, we had such a lovely stay we really didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back and will be recommending you to friends and family.|Thanks again

We loved their hospitality.Tom and Rowena are exceptional hosts, They are caring and friendly. Guest house is tastefully decorated with beautiful artifacts.| They provide fresh breakfast made on order from the menu along with variety of fruits , cheese etc. Rowena is an amazing cook who bakes sourdough bread in-house. Their breakfast is of high quality. Bus no 11 connects guest house to City centre.
