Sheridan Edinburgh Guest House

This guest house is exceptional in every way. As soon as you enter, with all the details, you already realize that it is a labor of love. The location is perfect, having several bus lines less than a 3-minute walk away. Very complete breakfast and exceptional cleanliness. Without a doubt, the best thing is the kindness and hospitality of its owners, Tom and Rowena. Thank you for making our stay perfect.

A warm welcome on arrival . I had questions on places to visit ,out comes a map full details where to go etc . A great help.. Hotel immaculate rooms light and airy very comfortable. Breakfast for the only vegetarian no problem. Great breakfast selection and a hot cooked breakfast as well. Great stay and perfect hosts. Bus literally across the road into the city 15 minutes. Recommend if 3 or more uber is better deal than the bus. Highly recommend hotel.Thank you for a really nice stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sheridan Guest House! Tom and Rowena are gracious hosts, offering advice on attractions, restaurants, and how to get around. They told us about the Leith Water Walkway which we used several times during our stay. It’s such a great way to get around and has beautiful views! Speaking of getting around - there is a bus stop practically right outside the door! We love to use the City Mapper app to navigate all available public transportation options. ||We stayed in room 8, which we believe is the smallest room. (Queen bed) We are typically gone around 12 hours a day. It suited our needs of a comfortable bed and private restroom well! ||We enjoyed breakfast in the breakfast room (served 8-9:30 each day). They have a nice spread of self-serve continental items and I tried every item on the main menu and all were delicious! The homemade sourdough bread is a treat! ||We brought a rental car and the three times that we took it out while staying we never had a problem finding parking on the street very close to the house. (And it’s FREE!) ||American notes:|Most European countries do not provide washcloths; and make their beds without a top sheet. We loved staying at the Sheridan Guest House! The owners are very friendly, helpful and have a great sense of humour. :) The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. And the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend the self made granola! We will be back.

The hosts are very friendly. The props in the house are pretty and very well-organized. The room is very clean and the bedding is clean. The breakfast is great, the tableware is clean, and everything is satisfying. This is the accommodation where my wife and I stayed for the last two days of our 20-day trip to Scotland, and I am the most satisfied with this accommodation so far. I don't leave a review, but I leave a review because I thought it would be helpful for many travelers to have a happy vacation.

Wonderful stay. Everything perfect.|Spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation. Delicious home cooked breakfast with a great choice. Tom and Rowena are lovely hosts and their local knowledge and advice is invaluable. Great location with a bus stop opposite straight into Princes Street. Stay here you will not be disappointed.

This is a GREAT place to stay in while visiting Edinburgh. Great way to feel like you are not in the middle of tourist area but easily able to get to all the popular tourist spots and transportation hubs. The hosts are TOP NOTCH and the breakfast alone is custom made per order.

A very cosy and heartly guesthouse in between Leith and the city center, very close to the Leith water walkway. The hosts, Rowena and Tom are very friendly and can give many good advices where to eat and what to do. The breakfast is superbe and offers a wide range of menues, homemade by Rowena. The house and the room are nicely decorated with a lot of memorabilies of the owners, which travelled and lived in a lot of Asian countries.
