I had an amazing stay here during my first visit to Chiang Mai! I stayed four nights and the whole team, especially Rose and Kate, made me feel super welcome and at home. The room itself was gorgeous, and the only issue I had was with mosquitoes the first night (I think they were let in because the security guard opened the room door and left the light on for a while before I arrived). There is a mosquito net above the bed which was comforting to have, even if it became a bit difficult to navigate out of during the middle of the night!
The breakfast was simply outstanding, especially the fresh fruit and the a la carte options, including French toast, pancakes, omelettes, fried egg on avocado toast, etc. Be careful with mosquitoes in the breakfast and pool area, though. Wear some bug spray and long sleeves and ask for the fans and incense to help ward off the skeeters.
I enjoyed the location being a bit off of the beaten tourist path, and I found a bevy of delicious+cheap local food options nearby in the Wat Ket neighborhood, especially Kanomjeen Sanpakoi, Aroi Tom Yum Zap, F Care, Black Single Coffee, and various other street food stalls and noodle shops with Thai names.
For any pharmacy needs, I really recommend Kittichiengmai Pharmacy down the street - the family running the place is super friendly and I was able to get a few needed things there for a good value and with help and support.
Don't overthink it, stay at Shewe Wana! :)
