What To Do in Shibuya: Our Guide

"The Shibuya Loft, one of the biggest in the chain of lifestyle stores, climbs an impressive six stories above the streets of Shibuya with another one below. Popular among Tokyoites and tourists alike, each Loft in Japan sells a wide variety of household items and knickknacks that makes it feel like the world's biggest curiosity shop." - Davey Young

Loft is a wonderful store with a big variety of items, from home goods to gifts and stationery. Everything is well-organized and easy to find. The quality of products is great, and the shopping experience is enjoyable. It’s a perfect place to explore and buy unique items.

Normally when we buy new years’ Zodiac figurines, the sales staff will carefully open the boxes to show the items and carefully wrap it back. Japanese sales attendants are the best! Unfortunately, this time, sale attendant Ms 川 at Loft @Shibuya was very bad. She was impatient, rough and just not nice. We brought 4 items, obviously it’s not all for us and are gifts. Ms 川 (Kawa) was not pleasant. Passive aggressive and did not bother that items were gifts, very roughly repacked the items into their boxes. What a disappointment and disservice to the Loft Brand.

There are actually so many floors and the whole building is just Loft with some concessionaires. This must be stationery heaven for the lovers out there. Many people but no can do. Come visit and see for yourself. Defo worth at least a trip.

Usually five star store, but this time ..... Shibuya Loft is always a little wonderland—bright colors, clever designs, and aisles that make you lose track of time. But the stationery section on the basement floor was a bit disappointing this time. A foul smell, like drainage from outside, had drifted in and spoiled the otherwise great vibe. Such a shame, because the pens and notebooks are top-notch! Still, the rest of the store feels lively and creative enough to make you stay longer than planned. 👉 If you’re heading for stationery, browse the upper floors first, then swing by downstairs later!

5 stars of course! The sonny angels (limited 1 per person everyday) & smitskis are really good priced on the 6th floor. The stationary selection is amazing too.

Huge building with everything you can think of inside. I managed to get really good quality travel scissors in this shopping building.

There are so many knick-knacks to choose from that it's dazzling. There are many floors, too. If you walk through every floor, you'll probably spend a lot of money. The store offers tax-free services. Sugoi!!!

This loft is HUGEE!! I got a headache walking around here but omg they have literally anything that you can think of in here. I like how it is organized by floor. They also have so much matcha here. They even had the Kyoto spicy furikake here that I see people in TikTok rave about.
