What To Do in Shibuya: Our Guide

"Walking into Shibuya Niku Yokocho is walking into an in-your-face wall of overstimulation. Hawkers from the complex's 26 separate restaurant stalls shout for attention, and the merriment of hundreds of patrons in the open, interconnected space is a never-ending salvo of sound." - Davey Young

Rude service and lack of basic manners. I dined here recently with a friend. While the initial female server was polite, the experience was ruined by a male staff member (photo attached). Without any greeting or saying "Excuse me," he aggressively signaled for us to move our bags into a basket. In the rush to comply with his silent demands, a drink was spilled on our table. Instead of helping or asking if we were okay, he looked impatient and annoyed. He prioritized wiping the table over offering napkins or checking on the customer. We later realized he wanted the seats for new customers, but he never communicated this verbally. I have visited Japan many times and usually admire the hospitality, but this staff member's behavior was unacceptable. To the management: Please train your staff on basic communication and empathy. Pros: Location is central. Cons: Terrible attitude from specific male staff.

I visited this spot at RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK and overall had a pleasant experience. The food was good and enjoyable, and the ambience was decent — nothing extraordinary, but comfortable enough to relax. Prices were a little on the steep side, but it was still a nice place to chill, have some drinks, and unwind. A decent option if you’re in the area and looking for a casual place to hang out.

Food was very ordinary for a tourist price, service not great. Overall only the atmosphere was the only thing that was good. Will not return.

Many choices of the local cuisines, Fun atmosphere for hang out , good tasted than what i though, seems over price and there was a table charge around 300¥ each as usual.

This is a tourist place. Don’t look for food quality. Just enjoy eating outside when weather allows and enjoy company of your friends.

Different dining experience. The weather is just right in March to dine in the open. There are multiple shops selling different food. This fried rice tastes weird, but the chazuke is good.

The only good thing about this place is the atmosphere and design of the place. The food was the worst thing we had in a while, the waiting time was very long.. and for frozen gyozas it was literally not worth it. We also had to pay a sitting tax for which they gave us a small snack. That one was bad too. There are so many nice places in Tokyo that it’s not worth wasting your time here. It’s nice for having a beer, but that’s all.
