Shimmers

Shimmers might officially just have become my favourite restaurant. We visited for an evening booking, we were delayed and our party size dropped from 4 down to 3 but staff were incredibly accommodating. The service from everyone we encountered was impeccable that night. Our doors were opened for us leaving our chauffeur from which we were driven in a buggy to the main restaurant with gorgeous views of the Burj Al Arab. Upon arrival to Shimmers, the staff were expecting us which was such a personal touch. We were given choice and seated at our table. We fell in love with the atmosphere, the DJ, being on the beach, accompanied with the sounds of the waves crashing and the gorgeous views set the tone for the dinner. The ambience/atmosphere is amazing! Service was fast, we were well looked after, we were given guidance on what to order and the waiters were very kind, patient and considerate. Our waiter for the night was Christian who made the night memorable through his humour, charisma and presentation of the food. I recommend everyone try the lamb gyros, that was the star of the show. The watermelon salad was surprisingly delicious and refreshing too. Definitely will be revisiting when I’m back in Dubai! Thank you to the entire team, you were all amazing!

The food at Shimmers was really tasty, and the portions were surprisingly large — definitely great value. The cocktails were delicious too, and the view is absolutely beautiful, especially around sunset. The only downsides were that the music was a little too loud to have an easy conversation, and the reception ladies seemed a bit awkward and slightly disorganised. The security at the entrance was also quite intense — they asked for a reservation code before letting us in, which felt a bit much as it’s just a simple restaurant. But overall, the experience was great, the atmosphere was lively, and I’d definitely come back again.

I’ve been there multiple times! the atmosphere is amazing. Burj al Arab view is magical. However, the service needs some improvement, waitresses took so long to serve us our food. The food was delicious, I recommend the artichoke salad, chicken risotto and fried calamari super tasty also the pineapple mango hookah was superb! Side note, it gets very packed on the weekends so make sure to book beforehand. Overall it’s great, would recommend.

Had dinner at Shimmers and it was such a beautiful experience. The whole setting gives off a relaxed beach vibe with a romantic touch, perfect for a sunset meal by the sea. The décor and aesthetic are elegant yet laid-back, and the view of the Burj Al Arab makes it an amazing spot for photos. We shared several dishes, including the baked sea bass with tomato, capers, and kaffir leaves, the lobster orzo in a rich bisque, grilled chicken souvlaki, and a side of French fries. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel really special. Definitely a place worth visiting for great food and stunning views.

The view is absolutely beautiful, especially around sunset. The food is good but I was expecting more than that. The option of the coffee wasn’t really what we wish for 😌the vibes is amazing and that why we came here; to set facing Burg Alarab is stunning 🤩 The only downsides were their booking website is not clear .

Booked it for dinner and it was fantastic. We sat directly on the beach with a great view of the Burj Al Arab and the ocean. The service and atmosphere where excellent, not too loud but some background music. Food was very high quality seafood and all around a good experience, highly recommend.

What a stunning venue! The views were impeccable and the servers were very attentive. The drinks were delicious, particularly the Athena. Only downside I’d say is that it was incredibly hot as it was outdoors, despite it being past sunset. Make sure to request a seat near some air conditioning!

Shimmers Dubai is an absolute gem! The setting right on the beach is breathtaking, with stunning views of the Burj Al Arab and a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy amazing food while soaking in the sea breeze. The menu was exceptional—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The cocktails and mocktails were just as impressive, crafted with so much attention to detail. What truly made the experience stand out was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. It was the perfect mix of luxury and comfort, and an unforgettable dining experience in Dubai. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a special night out by the beach!
