Shimmers

Came here for dinner before we head to the airport. We made a reservation for a beach table at 17:45 but we were late for half an hour 🫠🫠. Our table was gone but the waitress kindly got us another table at the restaurant which is equally good. Great beachside restaurant. Food is good, great vibe~ will definitely come again for our next visit to Dubai. Some hassle when we were leaving the hotel. We had to wait for almost 35-40 minutes to get back our car at the valet parking.

It’s quite complicated to get to Shimmers — you need to book in advance, and the quickest way is through the Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel. The place itself is beautiful, and the staff is friendly, but unfortunately there is a required minimum spend per person, which doesn’t feel like great policy, especially on a hot day when it’s difficult to eat much. Despite that, you still have to pay a high price. The view is stunning though, and it’s perfect for taking amazing photos on the beach with the Burj Al Arab in the background. Ideally, we would just enjoy the drinks and the scenery rather than being forced to consume a set amount.

We had the best visit to Shimmers just before it closed. First time visit as we have just moved to Dubai. We were looked after by Matias, service from the floor staff was exceptional and the food was gorgeous. We booked the sunset session and had the best time. Will definitely return again - especially when family come over to visit as it was such a memorable experience🤍

The Shimmers is located on a private beach, which can only be accessed by reservation. It is cozy, offers plenty of seating and a beautiful view of the sea and Burj al Arab. Even though we had a reservation for the Cabana, we got a seat in the restaurant, which we accepted since it was full. The selection is not very large, but you will for sure find something, as they offer salad, pasta, meat, etc. I found the food very tasty, but the price-performance ratio a little more expensive. The service staff were always very friendly. Unfortunately we were not served at all for about 30-40 minutes towards the end, even though we had already finished everything.

This place is definitely magical, the atmosphere and the view is a spectacle. The food was amazing, the service was a bit slow and they forgot to bring something I ordered, that could definitely be improved but overall I recommend this place 100% worth going and I think it is a must. I would come back a thousand times!

I had a fantastic experience at SHIMMERS in Dubai. The location is superb, offering a stunning setting that elevates the dining experience. The food was simply amazing—every dish was a delight! The only downside was the predominance of Russian being spoken, which was noticeable, but it didn’t detract from the overall exceptional experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for its culinary excellence and ambiance.

This restaurant offers a stunning beachfront view with the iconic Burj Al Arab in the background. The live music and remixes created a fantastic atmosphere, making the evening even more memorable. It was a cold night, but thankfully, they had fire pits near most tables, adding warmth and coziness to the experience. Probably we were lucky to have Sacha, a young, talented, and highly professional employee who greatly enhanced our experience. Her honest recommendations helped us choose dishes that we truly enjoyed. For starters, everything was good, but the fish dishes and especially the Basil Orzo (which looks like rice but is actually a type of Greek pasta) were exceptional. Initially, we didn’t plan to order desserts, but Sacha recommended two of her favorites: -Greek Yogurt Ice Cream with caramelized walnuts and honey *Peanut & Vanilla Millefeuille We took them both, and let’s just say… the plates were completely cleaned 🧽😂 As always, I’ve added photos of the menu and the dishes we had.
