7 ways to eat and shop your way through Fukuoka - SilverKris

This restaurant deserves a top spot on your Jackson itinerary. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is unforgettable—cozy fireplaces, stylish couches and chairs, a charming balcony, and even thoughtful touches like the soap in the bathroom all contribute to an elevated, inviting vibe. And then comes the food—somehow even better than the atmosphere. We were lucky to snag seats at the bar, where we watched Hunter and Will craft each sushi dish with incredible skill and precision. We ordered a lot (no regrets!), and while we poured soy sauce into the dish out of habit, we never touched it. The flavors and sauces in every bite were so well-balanced, so delicious, it simply wasn’t needed. Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had in Teton Village/Jackson—hands down. A huge thank you to Hunter, Will, and Haley for not only the exceptional food but also the warm and attentive hospitality. We can't wait to come back!

This destination dinner was the highlight of our short vacation from Ohio…not only were the food and scenery and ambiance Top Notch , but what even made it more special and unique was getting the chance to talk with the very humble and talented sushi chefs , Will and Hunter , along with waitress, Hailey . It’s the kind of meal/atmosphere/experience that makes you grateful for the experience but also sad that it is over. You all will never be forgotten… keep chasing your dreams and being amazing !!! Our favorite meal enjoyed in Teton Village! We came at 5:30pm with a toddler and baby and were treated with excellent service. We loved the citrus salmon and surf & turf maki and all of the signature nigiri. Beautiful setting and top notch sushi freshness & flavors

Must-go place for dinner in Teton village. Amazing gem of a place - fantastic sushi that competes with (beats IMO) Nobu type places. Book it - you won’t be disappointed. Recommend getting a reservation at the bar - great atmosphere with super interactive sushi chefs, working to a backdrop of cool French hip hop and other offbeat music. Food was highlight. Everything we had was phenomenal. Recommend the karaage appetizer - some of the best I’ve ever had. Maki rolls were unique and creative flavors - we liked the shishito crunch and buri crunch rolls. We ordered a sampling of nigiri - the special butterfish was amazing. For dessert, they hit it out of the park. Sesame ice cream was a huge surprise - great combination of flavors with vanilla, crunchy sesame chips and honey. Huge - good for sharing. Chef gave us a few pieces of the Nama chocolate… wow, if you like chocolate, just order it. Out of this world. Highly recommend Shin Shin - bet this place will grow a following with the great food, vibe, and service.

We dined here this past fall and we had a fabulous time. Chef Josh is a true artist, incredibly knowledgeable, and gave us an amazing dining experience at the sushi bar. Ford knows his wine, sake and can make a mean martini. They both took great care of us and everything is worth sampling. So great to finally have a phenomenal sushi spot in the Village. Can’t wait to try their winter menu!

Jackson Hole has some culinary treats -- Shin Shin is my new favorite. Mixture of beautiful presentation, superb service and all around tastiness. Impressed from the perfectly flavored Edamame to the Shitake Miso Ramen and Short Rib Gyudon, not to mention the taste-filled, house-made Gyoza. We were surprised with a not too sweet cheesecake and surprisingly flavorful sesame seed ice cream with caramel. Highly recommended from someone who lived in Japan for 5 years.

6th year visiting Jackson hole, 1st time spending our week in Teton village. This was the highlight of our trip for a multitude of reasons!!! Let me start with acknowledging we all know Jackson hole is a ski resort with steep prices and we all know that going in, with that comes high income individuals and high expectations for a dining scene. The staff at their sister restaurant accommodated us the night before and got me my wife and 10 year old son a reservation for next night. It is a quaint and more adult atmosphere from the looks of it, but you will be blown away with how accommodating of an experience Chef Hunter, manager Evan (I believe) and the entire staff are willing to adjust to make your night spectacular! Chef himself was educating my son and myself included with visual presentations of the fish and products they will be using while also providing samples to curate off the menu experiences for all!! The food was visibly stunning compared to even that of NoBu or other high Japanese restaurants in Chicago/New York etc. and the taste and presentation came through in spades!!! From my son trying a sample of caviar, to best the nigiri and use of fresh wasabi by request was such a stunning engaging experience. The Ramen bowls were delectable and a great dish to start with to warm up!!! Highly highly recommend! And Head Chef Hunter is beyond approachable and knowledgeable and if you’re excited to eat there , he is genuinely more excited than you that you are there! And it shows!!! Not the best photos but added for visual! Caviar sample for son. Big eye nigiri (top 1% provided solely to this restaurant)

I went to Shin Shin for date night with my husband in December and everything was amazing! The service from Haley was fast and friendly, the hip hop mix playing was definitely bringing in the vibes and the food was incredible! We had the cucumber salad, some sushi rolls, the ramen soup and the short rib all very tasty and different. Chef Hunter even made us a special roll :)

Yelp
Perfect Après-Ski Dinner Spot! Shin Shin is hands-down my favorite sushi spot in town. The vibe is ambient and fun, with great music and energy. We sat at the bar and got to watch Hunter, the sushi chef, craft incredible dishes--he's super skilled and great to chat with while he worked. The Signature Chutoro Nigiri, Sake Sashimi, and Tuna Crispy Rice were unreal, and the Lychee Martinis and Ube Cheesecake were the perfect way to end the night. Shoutout to Luke, our server, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His friendly attitude and great recommendations really made the night special. Can't wait to come back for more good vibes and amazing food!

Yelp
Simply put. The sushi rice had been refrigerated too long and was hard and crispy. The rainbow roll we ordered was so lemon infused it was overwhelming. The eel was cold. The only reason it's not a one is the view of you eat outside which we did.

Yelp
I was quite skeptical coming here, after all sushi in WY? The fish was fresh, dishes and cocktails well crafted, service fantastic. A lovely apres option, would absolutely come back. Torn between a 4 and a 5 star, 4.5 would be most appropriate.

Yelp
if you're staying in the village this isn't a bad option because it's convenient but i wouldn't go out of my way. food was ok. service was ok. lots of options on the mountain.

Yelp
Hunter served us up amazing sushi !! It was so good out of the 3 nights in Jackson we came here twice. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is amazing! The sushi is top-notch, the ambiance is classy yet comfortable, and the service is fantastic--especially if you're lucky enough to have Kevin as your server. Kevin knows the menu inside and out, makes killer recommendations, and somehow manages to make the whole experience feel effortless. You can tell he really cares about making your night special. Honestly, he's the kind of person who should be running the place. If you're looking for great sushi and even better service, this is the spot.

Yelp
Oh my goodness what was that?! The waiter came aggressively to our table and told us "I'm working I'm not having a good time" and told our group we were being rude to him. We were just talking amongst ourselves and he came out of nowhere with anger. Horrible service!!!

Yelp
Outstanding sushi in the center of Teton ski village! We had the best seats in the house in front of the Chef and every dish was amazing! Sushi flown in from Japan and incredible presentation and quality. Best tamago I've had. We're so satisfied!

Yelp
Overrated for the price. They get good quality fish in, sushi rice was just okay. Rolls and nigiri were falling apart.

Alec M.

Yelp
The waiter was acting aggressively and coming to our table wanting to cause a fight because we were enjoying our time. We ordered over $500 worth of sushi and he treated us like crap. I never write bad reviews but this was very deserved. He was afraid to tell me his name because he knew a review was coming. What a piece of crap! Wow! Never seen service like this before. Maybe because we weren't white?

Brandon R.

Yelp
Had great hamachi and sashimi salad! The chef crew and waiter were all great. Would definitely go back again
