It's very close to Shinagawa Station so it is a very good location if you plan to do a lot of day trips. The way from the station to the hotel is pretty steep though, pretty annoying especially if you have a lot of luggage. It is also a bit annoying after a long day and many steps of exploring. So the location may not be for everyone. There's also not so much to do around the hotel, there are barely any interesting stores (at least that's how we felt). I personally enjoy going out in the evening and just go into some stores that are just a few steps away from the hotel, sadly that's not the case here. The room is nice though, a basic business style hotel. So we were pretty pleased with the room. The price was also pretty good when we went. Only thing that bothered us was other people who stayed at the same floor as we did were very loud and ran through the floors during the night...but of course that's not the hotels fault. The staff was nice. We were able to store our luggage before check in which we always appreciate. Sadly they didn't brought our luggage to our room while we were gone (we stayed at another Tobu Hotel before and they did this) so we were a bit sad, but maybe it was a busy day and they just didn't have the time for this service so it's okay!

The rooms are not only meticulously cleaned but also thoughtfully equipped with essential amenities for work travel. I particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea service available from 06:00 to 12:00—it’s a delightful touch that really helps to kickstart the day. While the location near Shinagawa Station is quite convenient, I found that the uphill walk from the station to the hotel can be a bit challenging, especially if you are carrying luggage or after a day of shopping. However, returning to the station from the hotel is an easier downhill walk. The service at the hotel was absolutely excellent, and I appreciate the hospitality of the hotel staff. The breakfast quality was good, but I believe it could be improved by offering fried eggs upon request, rather than just pre-cooked scrambled eggs.Overall, my experience has been quite positive, and I intend to consider this hotel for my next work trip to Tokyo. Thank you for providing such a pleasant stay.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Shinagawa Tobu Hotel. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short 5-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, which makes traveling around Tokyo extremely easy. There’s also a bus stop right around the corner and two Seven Elevens within walking distance, so everything you need is close by. The room itself was bigger compared to the standard Japanese business hotel size, giving it a comfortable and relaxed feel. Another major plus is how close the hotel is to the airport—it only takes around 20–30 minutes by taxi, making it great for early flights or quick transfers. One highlight of my stay was the bath amenities. Their body wash, shampoo, and conditioner smell absolutely heavenly. I loved them so much that I ended up buying some to bring home with me. The hotel sits slightly uphill, but it wasn’t a problem at all since we used Ta-Q-Bin to send our luggage ahead. Overall, Shinagawa Tobu Hotel offers excellent convenience, comfort, and value. I highly recommend it for anyone staying near Shinagawa.

this seems like a 2 star business hotel. was in a uphill location and very far from shinagawa station. gave a 4 star because they helped me safe keep my gadget since there's no safe deposit in the room. they gave us a room with 4 super single bed and there's no space to open luggages. lucky the bed have rollers so we could move the beds to a corner. the very good thing is there's a lounge at level 2 for us to sit in a warm space with a black coffee only machine/ teabag to drink while waiting for time to pass before we leave for airport. shinagawa station to haneda station is 20mins travel but the walk uphill and downhill took us a good 30mins struggling along the way with big luggages. do not recommend for holidays or business either way. tokyo have much better location hotels at same price. I suspect my family mistaken this hotel with shinagawa p**** hotel and booked the wrong one. glad it's only a short 3d2n stay.

The hotel conditions were completely unacceptable and did not match the description or star rating listed on Booking.com. Upon arrival, we discovered visible mold throughout the property, including in the lobby and inside the AC vents in our room. The vents were also filled with dust, and the AC itself did not function properly - we couldn’t tell if it was blowing heat or air, and the room remained uncomfortable the entire stay. Inside the room, the walls were extremely thin, making it impossible to rest due to constant noise from the hallway. The toilet barely functioned, adding to the overall poor experience. We attempted to find another hotel, but nothing within our budget was available on such short notice, so we had no choice but to stay despite the conditions. This was absolutely not what we paid for or expected. This property is advertised as a 3-star hotel, but after staying at another 3-star property just prior to this, the difference was drastic. In its current condition, this hotel should not carry a 3-star rating and should not be listed without a warning about these issues

For the price we paid approx USD 625 for 2 nights without breakfast in a standard twin room, the experience was disappointing. The room was noticeably dusty, the whole length of its upper beam was covered in dust. The bathroom had visible mold in several areas. For this price point, we expected a much higher level of cleanliness. The hotel is showing signs of age, the atmosphere felt somewhat lifeless during our stay. It is not where we will choose to stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It's about a 10-minute walk from Shinagawa Station. Taking the Shinkansen from Shinagawa is quicker because it's close to the hotel. And it only takes 30 minutes to get to Haneda Airport by taxi from the hotel. Breakfast is almost the same menu every day. There are almost no restaurants around the hotel, but there's a 7-Eleven across from the hotel, inside the Grand Prince Hotel. The hotel helped store our luggage for 3 nights while we were in Osaka. When we returned from Osaka, we stayed at this hotel again. Overall, it was a pleasant stay because it's close to the city.

Was slightly out of the way as compared to prince hotel but it wasn’t too bad. There’s a nearby 7-11 in the hotel next door which was way less crowded than the 7-11 at Prince Hotel. Room was typical of a Tokyo hotel. Cosy but had everything you would need. Front desk were the star of the show. Really enjoyed the experience!
