I truly enjoyed my stay at Shinagawa Tobu Hotel. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short 5-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, which makes traveling around Tokyo extremely easy. There’s also a bus stop right around the corner and two Seven Elevens within walking distance, so everything you need is close by. The room itself was bigger compared to the standard Japanese business hotel size, giving it a comfortable and relaxed feel. Another major plus is how close the hotel is to the airport—it only takes around 20–30 minutes by taxi, making it great for early flights or quick transfers. One highlight of my stay was the bath amenities. Their body wash, shampoo, and conditioner smell absolutely heavenly. I loved them so much that I ended up buying some to bring home with me. The hotel sits slightly uphill, but it wasn’t a problem at all since we used Ta-Q-Bin to send our luggage ahead. Overall, Shinagawa Tobu Hotel offers excellent convenience, comfort, and value. I highly recommend it for anyone staying near Shinagawa.

The conditions of the hotel were completely unacceptable and nowhere near what was advertised. From the moment we arrived, we noticed significant mold throughout the property, including visible mold in the lobby and inside the AC vents. The vents were also packed with dust, and the AC itself didn’t function properly. We couldn’t tell whether it was blowing heat or actual air, and the room temperature was uncomfortable the entire time. The room conditions were just as disappointing. The walls were so thin that we could hear everything happening in the hallway, and the toilet barely worked. Overall, the stay was extremely uncomfortable and far below any reasonable standard. To make the situation worse, we couldn’t find another hotel within our budget on such short notice, which meant we were forced to stay despite the conditions. This was not by choice- there simply were no alternatives available at that time. This property is listed as a 3-star hotel, but compared to another 3-star hotel we stayed at earlier in a different city, this was not even remotely comparable. In its current condition, it should not be rated 3 stars; honestly, it should not even be listed as an option on booking websites.

The hotel conditions were completely unacceptable and did not match the description or star rating listed on Booking.com. Upon arrival, we discovered visible mold throughout the property, including in the lobby and inside the AC vents in our room. The vents were also filled with dust, and the AC itself did not function properly - we couldn’t tell if it was blowing heat or air, and the room remained uncomfortable the entire stay. Inside the room, the walls were extremely thin, making it impossible to rest due to constant noise from the hallway. The toilet barely functioned, adding to the overall poor experience. We attempted to find another hotel, but nothing within our budget was available on such short notice, so we had no choice but to stay despite the conditions. This was absolutely not what we paid for or expected. This property is advertised as a 3-star hotel, but after staying at another 3-star property just prior to this, the difference was drastic. In its current condition, this hotel should not carry a 3-star rating and should not be listed without a warning about these issues

It's terrible there is no control on air conditioner in the room. It is centrally unified. I came here in winter and only heater. The room is hot and the only window is small without screen window. When opening the window for cooling, the mosquito comes in to bite you.

For the price we paid approx USD 625 for 2 nights without breakfast in a standard twin room, the experience was disappointing. The room was noticeably dusty, the whole length of its upper beam was covered in dust. The bathroom had visible mold in several areas. For this price point, we expected a much higher level of cleanliness. The hotel is showing signs of age, the atmosphere felt somewhat lifeless during our stay. It is not where we will choose to stay again.

Triple room was small (as was expected, it's just a twin room with a sofa bed). Perfect other than that. Great location! Just a couple of minutes away from Shinagawa station which has Keikyu from the airport, Yamanote and other JRs to most of Tokyo, and Express trains and Shinkansen to the rest of Japan.

This hotel was clean, affordable, and close proximity to Shinagawa station. 7 Eleven located directly across the street was a big plus. The hotel does offer breakfast but we opted for the room option that did not include this, so did not get a chance to try it. Staff was friendly and we had no issues. Simple, no frills hotel that provided a nice place to stay.

While the location of this hotel is convenient as it is close to Shinagawa station (Shinkansen line), the quality of the hotel is poor. Our room was dated, which was fine but compared to the bright photos on their website, I felt like the room wasn’t even close to what was portrayed. The worst part was the dirty bathroom. Black mould in the tile grout and on the ceiling. Filthy hand basin and worst of all was the toilet - when the toilet seat was down, it was clear to see it hadn’t ever been cleaned. Urine, hair etc was in the crack. Too offensive to take photos of. Very disappointing considering the price. Breakfast very average. Wouldn’t recommend.
