Working with Amanda is always a pleasure. She is truly a coach and artist with a lot of heart. She always goes above and beyond. I’m always guided with so much care with each goal and challenge I present to her. The best Lyra coach you could ask for in vegas! I have one year of Lyra training down, really grateful to learn from someone so knowledgeable and passionate! I posted some combos Amanda assisted me with

I absolutely love Shine. I started out with pole at a different studio and I didn’t feel as challenged in my pole journey. As soon as I switched my studio to Shine, the knowledge that I have gained has made me a better pole dancer. Every class challenges me. In addition to my pole classes, my aerial conditioning classes with Amanda every Sunday has been an excellent supplement to my training. I also love her Lyra classes whenever I want to do something other than pole. She has so much knowledge and is one of my favorite coaches. Shine has all of the best coaches in the Las Vegas area if you want to do aerial activities!

I signed my daughter up for the aerial silk camp and it was the best decision I made. We came from out of town. Russ was outstanding and so helpful, he also gave us the best places to eat! The instructors went above and beyond and were so patient and kind teaching my daughter who was just 16. She was also thrilled to be taught by some of the performers from Cirque. They not only took the time to teach her but they took the time to just sit and talk to her. The facility is beautiful, clean and in a great location would highly recommend giving it a try no matter what your age is.

Google
Highly recommend the aerial yoga class with Amanda! I've been going for over a year and I love the flow she created. She takes good care of her students, making sure everyone gets what they need out of class. I love how she's always here to help and answer any questions!

Google
I took private lessons and aerial hoop group classes here and absolutely loved the environment and people! Specifically, Amanda is an amazing aerial coach and helped me build skills for a professional job I had. Las Vegas is full of incredible training spaces, and Shine is definitely one of them!

Google
Amanda rocks! She has been my aerial coach since I moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago. She is adaptable to all levels so she meets people where they’re at and finds ways to challenge them to progress. I’ve grown so much in her classes and I can’t wait to see what the future holds in our training🤘🖤

Google
Amanda is an amazing aerial coach! She's great at breaking down skills and assisting you in improving technique. She's also very supportive of her students and her classes are very welcoming.

Yelp
Absolutely loved taking class here. I took the intro to aerial yoga class with Amanda and had an amazing time from start to finish. Amanda is very energetic and friendly. She explains how to get to positions and postures thoroughly. Can't wait to come back & try more of their classes!!!

Yelp
I was searching for the perfect space to rent for my Sound Bath experiences, and I found a cozy, clean space at Shine Aerial Fitness. The owners are incredibly accommodating, always ready to answer my questions and assist with everything I need. The venue is fantastic, with great amenities and a serene atmosphere that perfectly complements my sessions. I highly recommend Shine Aerial Fitness for anyone looking for an ideal space for wellness and fitness activities.

Yelp
I was about to say how cool this place was, and then when I was scrolling down I saw they were voted "coolest'. Yes I'd have to agree! The atmosphere is great.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. I started taking classes when gyms opened up after COVID. I moved to Vegas in the middle of a pandemic and this studio welcomed me with open arms. The teachers, the owners, and other students became my family. I have grown so much in class because they have the best teachers. They are experts! Take all the classes and push your limits because at the studio, you can succeed.

Amanda N.

Yelp
Let me tell you, this is my favorite place in Las Vegas!!!! I'm a total newbie, and was super nervous and excited to try out pole. The moment I got there, I felt so welcomed and accepted despite not having much physical strength or coordination. I've since been lucky enough to try out tumbling, hoola hoop, intro to aerial fitness, and aerial yoga. I've never gone to a bad class there...all of the teachers are truly world-class (like seriously, a lot of them travel around the world to perform!) and yet, SO humble and welcoming. I've been bouncing around from sport to sport trying to find a way for me to get fit while still having fun, and this place is exactly what I needed without me realizing it. It can be intimidating to try something new, but all you gotta do is get through the door and you'll be in love

Yelp
I've had my membership here for a little over than 1 year and a love this place!! All the instructors are amazing people, friendly and well known in what they do. They are always trying to help you. They have a variety of classes and options and everyone! I'm always trying to convence people to come here for how good it for your health.

Yelp
It was a bit of a stretch for me to sign up for an aerial yoga class since I'm such a novice. I have done, in total, 3 yoga classes. However, Alexandra was so nice and knowledgeable. In fact, she was a more helpful and demonstrative instructor than all the instructors I've ever had in all my previous beginner yoga classes. The yoga poses we did before we got on the silks were great because it prepped us for the actual movements we went on to do. It was definitely a challenging workout but it never once felt unattainable. Wrapping up (literally) at the end and just lightly swinging in a silky cocoon was so soothing and I can't imagine anyone not enjoying that. If I hated yoga, I'd take this class anyway just for that. It was absolutely lovely. It's been awhile since I felt sore and I definitely felt a burn the next day. The only thing I can think of that was not great was that the silk I used smelled very strongly of BO which makes sense since you wrap them under your arms. But, it's really the most minor possible thing especially since everything else in their facility is so great! It's bright, clean, and has tons of parking! Wish I could get a membership but I'll definitely make sure to drop in whenever I'm in town.

Yelp
Love this place! I take the pole dancing classes for people over 40 and absolutely love it. I've only been there when there were females, but I heard a male may have been there for a class and it was fun and comfortable with him there as well. I'll be happy to see him, or other genders in class! I'm decently...sort of...in shape... The classes are usually fairly small which means great one on one instruction. I have a ton of fun and feel sexy in a safe and supportive environment. There are a bunch of interesting classes offered, but I've only made time for the pole dancing classes. The instructors are super aware and respectful of the other classes that may be going on in the next area and adjust music and volume accordingly

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE! My daughter has been doing pole fitness for over four months there. It's awesome! Who wouldn't want to train with world championships and Cirque du Soleil performers? And the kicker: they are all soooooooo nice!!! It's a treat to have this alternative to fitness available. SUPER COOL!

Yelp
Yelp Review #500 I like this studio a lot!! My friends were interested in Pole dancing and upon research I came across this place. I decided to give it a try. I've come here twice now for Intro to Pole and Flexibility and both times the workouts have been great. The studio are modern and clean. A variety of classes for everyone such as Antigravity Yoga , Pole Dance, Aerial Silks & Hoop, Dance, Handstands, and Flexibility. Jamilla is incredibly sweet and a wonderful instructor. She is extremely patient, encouraging and gives special attention to individual needs, concerns and experience levels. The two front desks staff I met were nice and friendly. I just wish this place was closer to where I live and I don't like the noise level during our classes. There is only a curtain blocking the class next to us can be distracting at times. Everyone should definitely check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
I've taken pole classes several times here and I thoroughly enjoy Crystals class. She is really engaging, friendly, fun, but most importantly super duper skilled in what she teaches. I really like this studio and I highly recommend taking Crystals class whether you're a beginner or advanced student, she is super patient and you will improve by taking her pole classes.

Yelp
What a cool place! So glad I ventured out to give it a try. Owners are former Cirque de Solei performers and the aerial instructor is currently in Love. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. My Uber driver took the long way so I was a few minutes late, no problem. I had signed up and prepaid for a second class thinking "it looks so easy" but was so winded after the first one they refunded me the second class. All the classes were pretty too. Y'all should figure out a way to have classes for tourist on the strip! Thanks for a great time!

Yelp
I was super skeptical of this place because I'm not a performer or gymnast of any kind. I also don't pole dance. Thankfully I have a friend who does all of these things and she encouraged me to give Shine a try. I'm so glad I did. It was SO fun. I did the arial boot camp which was challenging but not overwhelming. It's like a tabata where you do one movement for 20 seconds and then rest. We switched stations often and I was definitely sweating. The beginning tumbling was easily my favorite but I would say it was more of an intermediate. We did handstands and summersaults. It was so fun but definitely not easy. You could tell he attendees who were more experienced were favored just a little. They run specials a lot and offer a variety of classes. I wish I lived closer so I could drop in more often. The staff is really friendly and encouraging.

Yelp
I attended the calisthenics acro class using ClassPass at this location and I had a truly wonderful experience. The front desk staff was so nice and the smiles were contagious. Even the front desk person who was on his way out the door was able to help me find the exact entrance and smiled at me when I came in and said it was my first time. Technically, he was off, and I wouldn't even have known that he worked there if he didn't make it clear with the help he gave me. I'll admit, while waiting for the class to begin, you look around and there are clearly experienced acro athletes. I felt slightly out of place initially, especially because I attended the class solo. However, the instructor made me feel very comfortable and he was sure to tell me that it was okay if I had no gymnastics, yoga, or acro experience. Was it hard? Yes. Could I do everything? No. But, I tried, and they made me feel like I was doing a great job as a first timer. There are acro moves that they do just for beginners and if you know what you're doing, they give you harder alternatives, so you don't feel like you're holding anyone else back. I can't wait to go back and try the into aerial class. I even bought an extra credit on ClassPass just so I could try it out. I highly recommend giving it a try if for no other reason but you try something new and have fun while working out (because every muscle in your body will be used).

Yelp
Shine Has become my home away from home! They offer a variety of fitness/fun classes at all levels! My favorite class is anti-gravity yoga with Shondra! It's full of meditation, stretching, some cardio, and pushing yourself to do something you haven't been able to do in the past! All of the instructors are encouraging and fun! Step out of your comfort zone and try the handstand class, it won't disappoint!

Araz H.

Yelp
If you are local or visiting Las Vegas, and you want to learn or Upgrade your skills this place is made for you. It feels like little family, the instructors are great. Give a try and you will not regret it. Ps.You may find the owner Dima Shine doing some crazy Handstands on hes Pole.

Yelp
I love coming here. I have done an intro to aerial yoga class twice now because I keep inviting new friends to join me but each time has been so much fun and very instructional. I have taken both classes with Delphine and she is an incredible instructor. She leads you through the inversions with ease and makes you feel really comfortable with the poses before you move forward. I am going to branch out and try some other classes but the feeling of being upside down is exhilarating and something I enjoy! Take an intro class before you jump into the level one classes. You won't regret it! **notes about the facility** It's recommended that you remove all jewelry and wear at least a short sleeve shirt while practicing aerial yoga (the sling can pinch). There are locker rooms but it's |bring your own lock|. No showers but two separate individual bathrooms for you to use. There's a water cooler for filling up and the studio is a no shoes facility inside the different "rooms" for classes!

Yelp
The staff here is so incredible! I've never felt so welcomed and so at home!! (Mind you i've only been there twice). The location is great, lots of parking and the area feels very safe. The exterior of the building has a modern victorian/boutique-type architecture. IT's THE CUTEST. The windows are large allowing the natural light in during classes. The entire studio is very clean, you can tell they truly care about their maintenance there. The waiting area has very comfortable seats so family can obLove. Love. Love. this place and I will definitely be getting a membership here after my groupon ends.

Yelp
By far the most disappointing class in the history of pole classes I've ever taken. I signed up for Level 1 pole class with Jamilla. Worth nothing I'm from out-of-town, so I was greatly looking forward to taking this class. 1. Prior to signing up, I called the studio to ask what level would be most appropriate to sign up for since the site wasn't helpful in mentioning prerequisites. They mentioned class sizes were small and it didn't really matter since the instructor would be able to tailor it more around my skill level. 2. I signed up for level 1 with Jamilla greatly looking forward to taking her class. Up until the day of the class, I was supposed to have her as an instructor. But she's was out of the country. There was no email for a sub for her class. I would've appreciated that since having her as an instructor was the reason I signed up. Additionally, the front desk made no mention of the instructor change. 3. **This class was entirely out of my league!** I'd say I'm an intermediate. I can do inverts but not full flows involving trick after trick after trick. After the warmup the instructor asked how long I took pole for and if I could do a jade. I said yes to the jade since I can do it even though it's far from perfect. I did not expect the three sequences we learned to be much more on the advanced side. The other students were much more skilled than I, around Fonji level. No modifications were offered and I couldn't do any whole sequences. So I just picked at small things I could do on my own and worked on them. The instructor did try to spot me when I asked, and spotted me on the last thing I tried to do in class. If I come back to Vegas I'm not coming back to this studio. Maybe other folks won't have my experience. Good luck to you. Also two stars because at least this studio was incredibly well kept which was appreciated.

Yelp
We took the Antigravity Yoga class. I guess there is an Intro to Antigravity Yoga that should have been taken first, but I skipped that step without knowing it. This was harder than I thought it would be and I'm very good at Yoga. There was a lot to think of and remember, which was why I didn't feel as stretched out as I should. So, if I had to do it again, I would take the intro class first! The instructor was very friendly and accommodating to our newbie group and gave us plenty of extra instruction and support. I will definitely go back now that I have some experience.
google avatar

Amber R.

Yelp
If you're looking for aerial yoga while in Vegas, I would highly recommend! The class was challenging and Rebecca was so sweet in how she provided instruction and assistance (and challenged students). If you haven't done aerial yoga before, you probably want to start with an Intro class - but if it's not your first rodeo, a Level 1 class is a great way to start. Although I practice aerial yoga everyday back home, 80% of this class was new to me which was amazing! Even the savasana was great! She incorporated essential oils which was a perfect touch. The only thing I would caution is it is not in a yoga studio so you will have noise from the other classes going on. That for me was not distracting, but just be prepared if you're used to a more quiet setting.

Yelp
I am.. obsessed to say the least. I originally attended Shine because I've been dying to try Aerial silks for over a year now. Finally, on a spontaneous Sunday I went to their Intro to Aerial Fitness class and absolutely loved it. It was beyond challenging and I was definitely outside of my comfort zone. The location is clean and intimate. They have a lounge area that you can stay at while waiting for all your classes. They offer a diverse selection of fitness/specialty classes. Every instructor is trained, educated, and passionate so you know you're in good hands. Recently, I just purchased their unlimited package. It's an investment... however if you're ready and willing to WORK, DO IT. Take into consideration before just looking at the prices that may seem expensive - just think about WHY you're doing it, and how it's going to be rewarding making the investment for your future self. I've already taken SEVENTEEN classes since the end of August. I recommend getting the unlimited if you're looking for something that you'll love and you'll dedicate yourself to it. My newest addiction are the Pole classes. I've taken over TEN and I'm seeing my body progress and I'm mentally stronger. These classes are no joke, but my confidence has grown just because I'm able to do something new every class. On the plus side--- THE ABS AND BOOTY ARE COMING IN! LOL Because of Shine, I'm getting a Pole for my home because I find it so beautiful and challenging. Go to Shine. You won't regret it.

Linda A.

Yelp
I took a day of assorted classes last year while visiting Vegas including silks and aerial which I had never done before. I was so nervous (being a pole dancer deep in middle age way past my prime), seeing all of the incredible athletes around me. But everyone was so kind, friendly, and supportive! And the quality of the classes were very high, I learned a ton. Can't wait to train there regularly when I move to Las Vegas next year.

Yelp
I heard about Shine Alternative Fitness before it opened and was very excited about the concept. On August 18th, I finally got around to taking a class and decided on intro to antigravity yoga. The studio is modern, clean, and a high ceiling open warehouse concept. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Antigravity yoga was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated, but Paula Holmwood made it plenty fun. I appreciated her enthusiasm, patience, and encouragement. Even if you're an experienced yogi, you'll learn that your balance may still be able to use some work once you've done antigravity yoga. The reason I'm not giving a full five stars to Shine Alternative Fitness is because of the noise level during our antigravity yoga class. The classes do overlap and as we tried to remain calm and balanced, an aerial arts class was in session right behind the antigravity yoga class -- which was only divided by a black curtain. If you're looking for a fun challenge, be sure to stop by Shine!

Janae F.

Yelp
In college, I used to do aerial silks. I've been done with college for a few years, and wanted to get back into doing something fun. I decided to sign up for aerial bootcamp. This was a good decision and also a very bad one. I survived the most intense workout I've ever had. I'm so excited to go back! I can't wait to become a complete bad ass!

Yelp
Absolutely my most favorite place in Las Vegas to train! Trainers and staff are always super friendly, it has an amazing atmosphere, clean, fun and every single class is amazing fitting everyone's abilities! I love it!

Yelp
I loved this class! The instructor was awesome, it's great for woman of all ages, I really had a great time it made me sweat I felt sexy and fit I will b back over and over!!!!

Yelp
I'm obsessed! 6 stars if I could. This studio is amazing! It's so much fun! I've taken 6 classes so far and each one has been great!!! As a retired college athlete I hate going to classes with instructors who are "fitness enthusiasts" with a training certificate they got online, which are very common here in Las Vegas and yoga in general. That's not the case here. THESE INSTRUCTORS KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. They have lived, studied, and basically breathed their craft. I can go into each class with complete confidence that what they are teaching me is technically correct and safe. Not only that but incredibly effective! The abs and booty class I took showed me moves that worked so well it was like getting a 60 min workout in 30min. You don't have to be a fitness pro to be here. The instructors with with everyone to make sure they are able to do their best. I can't stay enough good things about this place! The only downfall is a tad expensive (no doubt worth every penny for the quality) but on a budget it's hard to do. If the unlimited pass was cheaper I'd be there ever day (fitness goal for next year)! Thank you Shine for making fitness so much fun!!!
google avatar

Robyn P.

Yelp
Definitely a great workout with activities that I normally wouldn't have attempted. Anti-gravity yoga wasn't as exciting as I expected. The poses were challenging and it was definitively fun to attempt the cool poses. However, I did not enjoy the hanging upside down or swinging back and forth. When hanging upside down, I felt like I was going to fall out even though the instructor promised I wouldn't. Still a little scary when there isn't a mat underneath you. There are a few poses where you are told to relax but rocking back and forth while trying to relax made me so nauseous! I know this is because of my extreme motion sickness so hopefully it was better for others! Strength & Toning was much better! It was like a tumbling class for adults which was awesome. Somersaults, Cartwheels, & even handstands! I was a gymnast as a kid but only for a few years so I was surprised my body remembered how to do everything! I was even able to do the candlestick pose with the instructor which was the highlight of the class for me! Flexibility was my favorite class of all. Seems weird considering all the other exciting workouts Shine offers but this class made me feel amazing. While doing the poses, you are in pain. You are stretching muscles that I didn't even think existed. I have scoliosis and have never been able to sit in a pike and touch my head to my knees. With the guidance of the instructor, I learned how to stretch my back vs. bending and was able to touch my knees!! It was very exciting. I love to stay active but get bored of the normal gym. I definitely plan on signing up for Strength & Toning along with Flexibility. I am determined to do more exciting poses like the candlestick and can't wait to touch my toes again! It's the little things in life :)

Yelp
So far I am very pleased with my experiences at Shine! Everyone at the front is always friendly and helpful, and the instructors are great. I wish I had started coming here a long time ago! I workout at Lifetime Fitness, and take dance classes at The Rock Center for Dance, and I've, in the past few weeks, added going to Shine about four times a week because they had classes that I was specifically looking for, namely the flexibility classes (Delphine & Leysan), but I also take Strength & Balance (Ben), Ballet Barre Burn (Sunni), and Stretching and Toning (Sunni), all of which help me with some aspect of becoming a better dancer. I did take one Antigravity Yoga class (which I loved since I do a lot of yoga, but this was my first time doing it Antigravity style), and I thought it was different, and I liked it. I haven't tried any of the hoop or silks classes, but they look like a lot of fun. I first want to improve my flexibility, and we'll see! :) Notes: Bring your own locks for the lockers, there are showers that you can use if needed, water fountains and a water cooler are available to drink from / refill bottles. The classes that I attend have varied levels within each, so don't hesitate to try a class out! There are no shoes and socks for the classes I attend, so I just leave them off to the side. Note: If you sign up for their rewards program, use me as a referral! :) https://www.perkville.com/biz/5747/referral/6425032/?r=3

Yelp
Great place. Lots of equipment to try. Variety of classes. Very nice staff at front. Cute clothing available for purchase.

Yelp
I only attended one class but it was soooo good! I went to the flexibility class which helps you stretch for over an hour and felt absolutely amazing for the next week. The sedentary nature of my lifestyle can really take a toll, so it was nice to get some help stretching out. I was sore for days (in a good way). The instructor was really approachable and even though it was a large class she provided all of the students with individual attention and modifications. The staff was friendly and seemed really cool. I'd totally recommend it

Yelp
Great pole dancing class with Jamilla! I've always had a respect for pole dancing, but after this class, I can say I have a greater respect for the sport and art. Jamilla has great energy and patience to mentor the group. It was my first time taking a class and Jamilla made it worth visiting again and again. If you haven't tried pole dancing, it's worth it. There were advanced people in the group, but it didn't feel intimidating at all. You do have an advantage if your flexible and stretch daily as you're able to wrap, flip, and cross your legs easier. Not so much easy for me with muscular legs and limited flexibility. Time will tell. Jamilla, thank you for a great first class!

Yelp
I'm a 41 year old grandmother ... I first walked into Shine last May for my Mother's Day bucket list adventures with my daughter and her husband. We had such a blast doing the intro classes that I had to go back for more. Last year, I was so out of shape... so I went back... very inconsistently. Slowly but surely, I started going more and more often. These days, I usually go at least once a week. It's still hard because life has a way of getting in the way. The great thing is that I have built friendships along the way. The instructors are so motivating, inspiring and supportive. I am in awe watching them. I laugh when I'm sliding down the pole because my hands get too sweaty and I can't get a grip... or when I'm literally grunting through a workout because I barely have the strength or stamina to get through an hour... or when everyone is doing splits and I'm not even close... I may not be as agile, graceful, strong, or flexible as some of the students and certainly not the instructors, but I am getting stronger and more flexible every time I go. Honestly, to me it's not about comparing myself to everyone else. They have worked endlessly, for years to achieve what they have. To me, it's about being able to do one move that I had not been able to do before. It's about pushing my limits beyond what I knew I was capable of. It's about having fun and being inspired. Most importantly, it's about the community that Shine seems to truly bring together. It doesn't matter if you are 15 or 50... if you are athletic or haven't worked out ever... there is a class for every body. It's about baby steps and encouraging each other. I am so grateful for Shine and all who are part of it. If you haven't tried a class because you're afraid you won't be able to do what these amazing people can do, do NOT let that stop you. Everyone starts at the beginning. Just go for it. You will be so grateful for it. Much love to Russ, Dima and every one of my inspirational instructors.

Yelp
Delphine was amazing!!!! I brought my mother and sister to take an intro to anti-gravity yoga and we loved it. She helped my mother through all of the positions Thank you for allowing her to try something new!!!! I wish I could come regularly but I live in LA, if you're thinking of trying it, do it!! You won't regret it!!

Yelp
I was visiting Vegas for the weekend, and decided to check out a few classes at Shine. I had SUCH a great time! The studio is clean, open, and welcoming. The trainers are all very good, and the staff all very friendly in general. I am an aerialist based in AZ, and I was really hoping to take a private lesson from Dima, the owner, who is an incredible acrobat. Unfortunately the timing didn't work out this time around, so I ended up taking classes instead, but next time I'll plan better!! If I lived in Vegas I would be here all the time. You should definitely check it out!!

Yelp
I love yoga and thought that anti gravity yoga sounded fun, but I was a little skeptical about hanging upside down in a swing for relaxation. The instructor, Kelly, was incredible. She made sure I felt safe and was able to tailor the class so that I could catch on to everything even though I had never taken it before. I have had many yoga classes and never left feeling as stretched out and relaxed as I did after anti gravity yoga. It even had a little cardio element to get the workout buzz going during the class. I also was convinced by a friend to try out the aerial silks class. I quit gymnastics after I learned a cartwheel and I have seen Cirque du Soleil performances on silks so once again i was nervous to try it out. Knowing that the aerial instructor had been in "O" did make it a pretty exciting opportunity. To my surprise, the beginners class was designed for pretty much anyone to take. There were people more advanced than me, but he personalized the class for each level. i practiced basic wraps and holds while they started tricks. I felt like I was given plenty of individual attention and the class was so fun. These classes are a very welcome break from my regular fitness routine of running and lifting. I will definitely be going back! For the classes and instruction you get the prices are not bad at all. the classes are all between $15 -$25 and are even lower if you buy a package deal. The staff and instructors there are great as well. they are all excellent at what they do and so personable. Kelly even remembered my friends and my names even when we hadn't been there for over a week and a half from our first visit. I recommend trying out Shine. It is certainly a unique and fun way to work out. I am even bringing some of my friends here when they visit to do the silks class because its something that is not offered in most places and it will be an unforgettable addition to their visit!

Yelp
Such a great idea for people involved in Cirque to open up their own studio. I've been to a few of their shows on the Strip, and have always been impressed by their fitness and athleticism. Of course, I was also pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do anything like that myself. Kelly teaches the Anti-Gravity Yoga class at Shine, and she assured me that anyone can follow along and learn some of the tricks and inverted moves. The classes are kept small.. there was about 6 or 7 of us when I went. That was good, because we could all get personalized attention. And we didn't have to worry about swinging into each other when we were cocooned in our silk hammocks. Yes, the poses and exercises that you do in the class all involved a suspended silk hammock that is adjusted to your height. Kelly recognizes that there are some trust issues that come up when you're asked to climb aboard a piece of fabric. She eases you into different exercises, and lets you figure out how comfortable you are. Surprisingly, it is easy to turn yourself upside down.. and it's kind of relaxing to hang there for a while. Of course, I was a bit light-headed when the class was over. I guess my brain isn't used to having that much blood rush in. I also realized the next day that hanging upside down takes a lot of core strength. My abs were in immense pain for a couple days. I have even more respect for Cirque aerialists and acrobats now. Shine has a variety of other classes that look interesting. And they offer a Facebook discount, so be sure to "like" them to get a few dollars off. Definitely worth the price to try a different kind of workout.

Yelp
Amazing! I've only done aerial silks here, but it's the best studio I've ever been to for silks. I've not been able to keep up since moving to California, since the closest studio is forty minutes away from me, and ALWAYS miss this studio. It's beautiful, clean, huge, and all the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
It might be a little early for me to write a review since I've only taken one class and I usually like to take multiple before I give my last final verdit, but I really enjoyed myself that I'm going to jump the gun! I took the contemporary class and mind you, this is my very first contemporary class I've ever taken! I've taken a couple hip hop classes in Houston but no professional dance classes what so ever. So I'm pretty much a blank canvas when it comes to dance, I just have the heart for it..still working on my body to follow! I took Jordan's class and he was really respectful of it being my first time, and really worked with me. There were only two other girls in class with me and of course they were beautiful dancers, so I felt a little intimidated by it all. Jordan really showed a lot of encouragement and was patient with me and I loved it! So, A+ on the instructor! Oh, and it's also a plus that he's from Zumanity, so you know he really knows what he's doing! As far as the class itself, we focused on a floor turning combo to get our bodies familiarized with the movement and momentum, a period was focused on basic across the floor drills, and then a short routine at the end. If you want to move like those contemporary artists in So You Think You Can Dance (guilty!), then I would highly recommend taking a class here! Only $15 for 1.5 hours! That's a steal if you ask me.

Yelp
Shine is a great place to exercise and have fun at the same time. No boring treadmills or other typical gym equipment here. Instead they offer classes like ballet, aerial silk, pole dancing, gyrokinesis, zumba, anti-gravity yoga and many more. The instructors are all experts in their field and really appear to be concerned that the clients are having fun and working out in ways that will minimize the risk of injuries. Find a particular move too difficult, no problem, they will find a modification that works for you. The owners are there to greet you with a smiling face and everyone is made to feel welcome regardless of whether you are a professional dancer or someone looking to lose weight and become more fit. Best of all there are no contracts to sign or monthly membership fees. Pay as you go on a class by class basis or purchase a package of 10 or 20 classes at a discount. You can't go wrong by checking this top of the line facility out.

Yelp
I initially came here as part of an amazing Groupon deal they'd posted, and got to try Pole for the first time in my life- something I've been wanting to do forever. Upon entering the studio, you're greeted with a very friendly front desk staff, who, after only one visit, knew me by name. Now, I realize that's a fairly small task, but it goes such a long way with me. Next, the instructors here are simply phenomenal. You've got people who've won national titles for their sport, and they are all so diverse. I spent the first few trips, trying out different classes to see what I liked most, and quickly purchased a 20 class pass. I quickly breezed through those and then bought an Unlimited Pass because I'm there 5-6 days a week. My personal favorite classes are pole with Jamilla or Sheila, AntiGravity Yoga (both Leila and Rebecca are remarkable teachers), and Contemporary Dance with Sunni. Honestly, if you are on the fence about going or are tempted to try it out with a Groupon- DO IT. You won't regret it. You'll soon be very surprised what your body is capable of.

Yelp
There are some really proficient students/instructors here. I've been playing at one armed handstands, but this is where I expect to get it. Dima and Vlad are legit. Sooo fun!

Yelp
I just attended their open house and this place is awesome! I love the concept and the variety of classes offered. We saw demos on the anti-gravity yoga, pole fitness, and gyrotonic, and that's just some of the classes they offer. And at about $20 a class I think the price is very reasonable. Looking forward to trying a pole class with Suwasit! He made it look so easy to get your sexy on !

Yelp
Many wise and well-integrated teachers work here. I have been studying most aerial arts for a decade while traveling. This is one of my top 3 ideal studios in the states. You will receive a fantastic return on what you put into each experience, provided you keep up on due diligence for yourself in all regards.

Love this place! Been taking antigravity yoga and flexibility with Delphine, she is amazing and super supportive with newbies. Great place to go outside the box. Cant wait to try the ballet barre and ab class.
