Getting to Know Southampton's Native American Community

"The popular on-reservation eatery Shinnecock Lobster Factory is renowned for some of the best lobster rolls in the Hamptons, while also operating a thriving catering business. Run by tribe member Lance Gumbs and celebrity chef Marco Barrila, the once-seasonal restaurant is planning to stay open as far into the winter as possible in this unusual year."

While planning for our stay, we bookmarked Shinnecock Lobster Factory as a MUST try. This place did not disappoint one bit! We ordered a Classic Cajun Mayo Shark Size Lobster Roll, Lobster Fritters, and a Crab Cake Burger. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The lobster was juicy and well seasoned and the Crab Burger was stuffed and well made. We definitely look forward to coming back for lunch during our stay. This is indeed a MUST TRY, you will not be disappointed.

Google
Shinnecock Lobster Factory produces easily the best lobster roll I’ve had in the Hamptons (it’s not close) and is up there with the best in Maine. The size is generous (easily double most others), and importantly you get whole lobster chunks, not the shredded lobster with celery found in so many places out here. Seasoning is also on point, and it’s served in a high quality brioche bun that’s been griddled with butter — possibly a bit sweet for some, but worlds better than the dried out buns that are typical of other rolls out here. The only ding would be on the chips — a bit soggy during our visit, but it doesn’t matter when the lobster is so good. Absolutely worth a visit!

Google
Absolutely disappointed! I ordered the classic citrus. Notice they gave me the mayo version. Went back and asked if this is the right order and they say I’ll rinse it with water ! What?!? I just paid $40 bucks for each. And the lobster bisque soup was beyond salty! I ordered two also and boy do I regret! The owner had gotten lazy and hired these college kids to make the food. Honestly the kid deserves credit for working. Save your money and just go elsewhere in the Hampton.

Google
Extremely overrated. Lobster roll was chewy and didn’t taste like lobster at all. Lobster bisque was bad. It was extremely watery and had no lobster and was all halved cherry tomatoes (see photo.) not worth the price or wait. Save yourself the trouble and go to LUNCH which is better in every way.

Google
Stopped by this lobster shack and tried the lobster roll — absolutely delicious! It was incredibly rich and buttery, with just the right amount of seasoning to let the fresh lobster shine. The roll was perfectly toasted and held everything together without getting soggy. Super satisfying and indulgent in the best way. I’d definitely come back for another!

Google
Great place for large groups. Have a spacious lawn in the back with picnic tables. A bit pricey but lobster in general is expensive.

Google
Waited over an hour for two lobster rolls. Watched multiple people who ordered after me get their orders. Doesn’t matter how good it is, that’s inexcusable and exceptionally bad service. You’re also waiting on the side of the road and the eating area is hot and gross. There was no charm here and they need to learn how to manage their order handling process. Will not return or recommend.

Google
Being local to the area, we really wanted to love this place. I had heard it was good (ironically from someone who wasn't local). We were terribly disappointed. The lobster rolls we got (Hamptons style) were not very warm or seemingly fresh. The place also seemed reasonably busy, which was confusing. To use the bathroom we had to give our ID to get a key. The women's room was not working so my daughter and I had to use the men's room which was gross (not a big deal) but just added to our terrible experience. Food took a good amount of time, they were out of two items we tried to order (that they advertised they had) and my husband ended up having a terrible stomach ache after. I would skip this place and seek out a better option when spending a small fortune on lunch.

Yelp
We came here THREE times while enjoying our stay in the Hamptons! We tried several types: our favorite was the warm one with butter & chives. Our children even enjoyed theirs!

Yelp
Pretty Pretty Good Lobster roll and great fries. It's a drive up shack reminiscent of Maine. They have a dispensary next store so making that your first stop might enhance your dining experience. I'll definitely do it again !!

Yelp
Got the "whale" size lobster roll and thought they were joking when they brought out a minuscule little thing. Ok so maybe they make up for the size in taste, but was also very wrong about that. The lobster was overcooked with a rubber like consistency and the famous chips were stale and boring. I highly recommend avoiding this place, it's not worth getting lobster in the Hamptons.

Yelp
Ok, I tried it at the annual pow wow. Let me tell you, the best lobster roll EVEH!!!! I had the Shinnecock lobster roll with arugula, cherry tomatoes, lemon and olive oil The lobster was shear meaty perfection. Lump chunky lobster tossed with the lemon and oil piled hi on top of a bed of seasoned arugula in a split bun with home made chips. The only fault- it was missing the cherry tomatoes which you definitely needed to balance the acidity of the lemon and arugula. Other than that, I am totally hitting this place up as many times as I can before I go back to the city

Yelp
Best lobster rolls in town! Double check their hours before heading over since their posted hours seem to be wrong. On Yelp, it says they close at 8pm, but on their website, it says they close at 7:30pm...we got there at 7:20pm and they were already shut down. So not really sure when they close! We decided to go the next day for lunch! Haha I tried their Diavalo Lobster Roll since I've never seen this option at other lobster roll places. The Diavalo Lobster was fantastic but I didn't like it on the roll. It made the roll very soggy and hard to eat. I kept thinking that the Diavalo Lobster would be fantastic with pasta! Haha Their hot butter Lobster Roll was better. Classic butter goodness. The lobster meat wasn't just claws and knuckles but included actual lobster meat. I really liked that the lobster rolls came in 3 different sizes: Guppy ($31/4oz) Shark ($35/6oz) Whale ($39/8oz) Of course, I wanted bang for the buck and ordered the Whale!...no regrets! :-D We wanted to return to Shinnecock Lobster Factory but ran out of time on our trip. On our next trip, this will be the first place we go! See my photos for their menu. They have lots to offer besides the lobster rolls.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious every time. Lots of options for lobster rolls, salads and much more.

Yelp
Lobster rolls were absolutely delicious (both the hot and cold options!). They give you a hefty amount of lobster which was really nice. We also got the lobster Mac and cheese that was also perfection, so gooey and cheesy! I already want to come back!!

Yelp
If I can give this place 0 stars I would. The service was terrible. The cashier with the mustache took absolutely no accountability for any of his mistakes, he messed up a ton of orders in front of us including ours and on top of that had the audacity to blame the customers for not "telling" him an order right. There was a customer with a food allergy instead of being careful with his order they didn't factor in his allergy and gave him attitude when he asked for a new order. There was practically no chips on our plate and since they should included in our order, he then once again gave attitude and said no we always put chips on everyone's plate. The meal itself was also very low quality and was just slapped on a plate. The lobster barely had flavor and was way over priced for the taste, quality, presentation and service.

Yelp
I ordered the largest lobster roll, and it was WAY TOO MUCH FOOD! The lobster roll was great. I believe i got the cajun one, would recommend, wouldnt get again as it had a lot of peppers and onions which I dont like. You self order at the counter and they call your number when the food is ready. It is self-service. There is usually a short line to order. There are seats outside, with parking at the side of the store.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time dining here at SLF. The outdoor restaurant setup was great (resembling a roadside stand). The lobster roll lacked flavor. Homemade chips accompany your sandwich order. Some chips were soggy/undercooked. It seemed as though the chips were cooked earlier in the day. The price for the food was high. So, one would expect a flavorful meal. The service was good.
google avatar

Yvonne G.

Yelp
These lobster rolls are 100% worth every penny. Ball out & go for the "whale" size every time. The lobster is so fresh and the spicy Mayo lathered on top is chef's kiss. The house chips are also tasty. You order up at the window and there is minimal seating on the side of the place. The people at the counter are always friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Best lobster roll on Long Island hands down! Get the Hamptons roll (warm with butter) and thank me later. The size is personal preference. Expect a wait but good things take time and this place is 100% worth it! The service and staff is friendly and I love how they have seats outside to eat, great ambiance and chill spot to unwind after a day at the beach (or on the way!)

Yelp
Very good food. A little pricy and a little slow. However I loved the taste of everything I tried

Yelp
This year's visit was only 3 stars. 5 stars for value: $39 for an 8 oz lobster roll is on the lower end of the price scale. But surprisingly they didn't have lemon wedges and I thought the lobster roll needed it. It didn't seem as fresh as previously either. The Mexican corn was spicy but didn't taste like elote (needed lime and more cheese). Also, the entire seating area had an unpleasant fishy scent.

Yelp
Stopped by on the Sunday of the July 4th long weekend for lunch and man was it packed! While my friends and I were waiting on line, we found out from other customers that it was a 45 minute wait! But we decided to wait anyway since we were already there. The store front itself is not huge, but they had picnic tables for you to sit in the front and back. After 45 minutes, we finally got our food. For a lobster roll, it is pretty expensive, but the freshness and the amount of lobster they pack onto it is so worth it. I went for their classic lobster roll and it was so delicious. The bread was buttery and toasty and the lobster meat was perfect. I knocked off a star because we realized that they didn't give us the side of chips and pickles! I know they're just sides, but for the price we were paying, I expected the full meal. I understand that it was really busy, but I didn't think that the essentials to the order should've been left out. There are many lobster roll spots out in Long Island, but I'd say that Shinnecock Lobster Factory is one of the better ones.
google avatar

Gordon Y.

Yelp
Roadside lobster shack that is opened year round and hard to miss. More importantly, this spot shouldn't be missed since it serves up one of the best lobster roll on the tip of Long Island. I was feeling some serious craving for lobster roll this past weekend while in the Hamptons. First, I decided to try Jerry and the Mermaid, which was beyond a disappointment. Therefore, I had to redeem that experience with a whale sized classic lobster roll from Shinnecock Lobster Factory. The soft buttery roll is super important to making this one of my favorite type of sandwiches of all time. Pair that with the tender lumps of lobster meat, tossed in a flavorful mayo based sauce, and this was an excellent classic lobster roll. They have other flavors as well, but I would stick with Classic or Hamptons (warm butter) to really taste the flavors of the lobster, which they cook fairly well. At $39 for the whale size (8 oz), it certainly not cheap. However, you're in the Hamptons, splurge a little.

Yelp
Ordered lobster roll in the past a few times once fishy. Today, again fishy, so bad I had to throw outside in garbage pail and spray inside. Called establishment, they couldn't or wouldn't do anything. Never again. ETA: contacted establishment. They wouldn't or couldn't do anything. Bad business.

Dana S.

Yelp
Awful service! We ordered lobster roll without the bun bc my cousin has celiac and asked them to just give us a new lobster roll order without the bun and that they couldn't just scrape it out of the bun bc it touched the lobster salad. The worker went from 0 to 60 in a sec and screamed at us that people with allergies weren't allowed to eat there and after much back and forth he eventually had them make it without a bun. Ridiculous. But the food is great....
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
So disappointed by our experience here honestly. We stopped here on our way to South Hampton beach, hoping to grab a quick lunch at a place that is so hyped up. But we were sorely disappointed. I think largely it's because they did a poor job of managing expectations. They told us it would be a 20 minute wait for our food. But we ended up waiting close to an hour and a half, which was beyond ridiculous. Especially in the heat of the summer when they have very little shade and no indoor seating. Furthermore, I thought the lobster rolls were pretty expensive!! And pretty small. I ordered the shark (the medium size) and some of us in my party ordered the whale (the largest size), and everything looked small in my opinion. Could've easily eaten two sharks. Very little lobster meat too. Like so skimpy.. Flavor was average. Just so expensive, waited so long. Small portions, average taste. Poor to mediocre experience.

Trish L.

Yelp
Lobster was overcooked. Big pieces, but the taste is severely compromised when the lobster is overcooked. Chips were also stale. Wouldn't go back

Yelp
This is a outdoor shack tucked away in Southampton serving some of the best lobster roll out here in Long Island. The portion is very generous for the price, the small guppy size is almost twice as big as a lobster roll in the city (e.g. Luke's Lobster, Lobster Place, etc). You can also tell that the lobster meat used is very fresh. Today was my second time visiting here and the wait for pickup was insane. Knocked down a star as it took almost 30 mins after ordering to receive my order of 2 lobster rolls. The wait was so long my lemonade became lukewarm because they give those to you after you pay, not when you pick up your order. There was also a new $3 "temporary" price increase on all menu items due to increased supply costs. Lastly, I was pretty bummed that they forgot to add the half pickle to both the rolls and really skimped out on the potato chips this time around... :(
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
I happened to come across this establishment while out motoring the local area and I must declare this was by far one of the best lobster rolls I ever did have. And I've had many... I opted for the Hampton Guppy Roll, four ounces of fresh lobster, butter & chives on a lovely brioche that was served with their outrageously delicious potato chips. Cheers to the chef, owner and polite & friendly staff, I most certainly shall return...

Yelp
Small window with a solid menu of primarily lobster based treats. Their specialty is the lobster roll, but they also have a couple of other options (not all including lobster). In terms of the lobster rolls there are a couple of different variations of ways the places prepares them, and they come in 1 of 3 sizes: S (Guppy 4 oz), M (Shark 6 oz), and L (Whale 8 oz). I got a shark size of the the "Shinnecock preparation" for my lobster roll. This included cold lobster, olive oil, fresh lemon, and arugula. The roll was absolutely delicious, there was a ton of lobster on it, and all of the ingredients were very fresh. The rolls also come with a pickle and chips. The chips were very fresh and tasty as well As far as seating goes there are a bunch of tables around the place, most of which are picnic tables. It took a little while for my food, but it wasn't anything crazy 9

Jack C.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the food lobster roll with very dry for $40. It could've been a lot better.

Yelp
I can tell you in writing this review that not only do I eat out a lot, I eat at very nice restaurants. We also enjoy a lot of lobster rolls, and I must say this place definitely has the best lobster rolls. We were referred by a friend to try it, and it did not disappoint. I can't believe I've lived in Long Island for 28 years and did not know this place existed! But definitely glad we found it. Thanks to a friend, Greg S, we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Cassandra M.

Yelp
Beautiful dog friendly picnic table area. Also we were glad to be able to order ahead using Yelp / grub hub. Order was ready in about 25 minutes which timed out perfectly with when we arrived. Yummy lobster rolls, but definitely pricey. We enjoyed the classic (lemon mayo) and the Hamptons (butter and chive). They also come with homemade chips!
google avatar

Tom F.

Yelp
I've been here several times over the past year and, well, consistently delicious. I either get the Shark or Whale (great to share) sizes. I've had all their flavors too. The Classic is traditional & well seasoned. The Diablo & BLT are close seconds for me and a nice change of pace. On Fridays & Saturdays I recommend calling in advance for pick up to avoid the lines & subsequent wait. Usually during the week of off hours, you can just roll up & order and a short while later be served your lobster roll in a brown take out box with a few fresh chips and a few pickles. You can eat out back at the picnic tables or just take em with you. If you get the classics they're pretty fantastic to have as a beach lunch.

Yelp
Drove by. Saw a line. Gooooood sign. Stood in line. I could see the staff at the back separating the tail from lobsters. Excellent sign! It was a group of us and we had the Lobster Roll and Lobster Bisque and Mac & Cheese. I had the first two. The Roll The large pieces of lobster meat were as impressive as they were delicious. The roll had all meat with just a bit of sauce to kinda hold it together. Like the sauce was an afterthought in the best way possible. All meat. The Bisque Again, the portions of lobster meat were ridiculous. I was not a fan of the actual bisque. I've had better bisque but not with lumps of crab like this. The Mac & Cheese The others in my party enjoyed the Mac & Cheese. They said it was good. Great flavor but definitely not like traditional Southern Mac & Cheese. Again, large lumps of Lobster meat. I found this place intentionally to support the local, indigenous people of the Shinnecock Nation. So pleased to have a delicious meal while visiting the area and support local peoples.

Yelp
In the neighborhood for the day. Had a craving for a Lobster Roll and checked out Yelp. The reviews were great, but you never now. The reviews are right. This is the most amazing Lobster Roll I have ever had outside the state of Maine. My wife had the BLT version. Bacon makes everything great. I had the traditional. Awesome! We shared the Lobster bisque (so filling we took half of it home. Would I call this a bisque? No. Not a traditional bisque. Better! There was as much lobster in this "soup " than in many lesser lobster rolls out there. Also the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back and bring my friends. Or not, I may want to keep this place to myself!
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
Of course being out in SouthHamptons My hubby and I always crave a good delicious lobster roll. These lobster rolls were a good size with chunky large lobster pieces with great tasting sweet roll to truly bring out the flavors I just would of had a bit less butter however it did not overwhelm the meal. The meal had homemade potato chips with the roll. The deal is you go over to the open restaurant to place your order. Then the Server comes to your car with the take out meal. Everyone was wearing masks and social distancing was obeyed.
google avatar

Julia Y.

Yelp
This was one of the best lobster rolls that I've ever had. I split the Whale (8oz) size lobster roll (Classic flavor) and the Lobster mac and cheese with a friend. I was happy to see that they weren't stingy with the lobster portions in the roll. The bread bun was perfectly buttery and it also came with a side of potato chips. Overall it was fresh and super satisfying dish. The mac and cheese was good, but it wasn't the best I've had. I felt that the cheese was a bit overpowering and distracted from the lobster flavor. The part that wasn't so great was that we arrived exactly at 11am when they opened (and we were on a tight schedule) and they told us that they would be opening later because of Mother's day. We had to wait another 15 minutes before ordering the food and had to wait even longer for it to be prepared. They also lost the ticket to one of our orders, so two of our group members were waiting for a long time while their food was sitting out. We watched 4 other people who ordered after them get their food first.
google avatar

Nikki M.

Yelp
It was a rainy day so we ate in the car but the lobster bisque was divine! Totally a must if you are in the Hamptons and want a delicious quick and easy bite!
google avatar

Pat G.

Yelp
We love lobster rolls so stopped by here and picked up the Hamptons (warm butter and chives) and Diavolo (spicy pomodoro sauce). The rolls were delicious and the chips (they tasted homemade) were amazing. The portions were big (we got the Whale; 8oz of lobster) and they def didn't skimp. The lobster was fresh, but unfortunately every other bite was overcooked and a bit rubbery. We thought the pomodoro sauce was great and the chives were fresh. We may have to come back and give this place another try when we are back in town. The lady who took our order was a bit rude/unfriendly but that could have been because another customer that ordered before us was extremely rude. Could also be this is par for the course in this area. I did like the fact they had picnic style seating out back which was nice on a beautiful spring day.

Yelp
Why in the world do people add mayo to lobsters and call it a lobster roll? You do know it's wrong on all levels? We'd driven by this place on our first day and this was all I thought about! Shinnecock Lobster Factory is located on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation on Montauk Hwy. Their chalkboard menu lists a whole bunch of tasty eats- but we settled for 2 shark-size (medium) "Hamptons" Lobster Rolls prepped with warm butter and chives. If you don't want chives, I'm sure you can leave out. Hubs placed the order and was told they'd be ready in 10 minutes. But we were coming from heavy-traffic in East Hampton and to get here was under 1/2 hr. Shinnecock Lobster F. was kind enough not to prep them too soon, otherwise they'd be cold by the time we picked them up- so thank you! Didn't notice any outdoor seating, but you can probably get away with popping your trunk and feast away! Our warm buttered Lobster Rolls were very good and meat was sweet! Lobster is stuffed gently on a fluffy potato bun that's been toasted ever so lightly with a warm, plushy center. Rolls were packaged nicely with a side of oily Kettle chips (-_-;). What's important to me is that Shinnecock L.F. doesn't mess around with a classic! It's better that way!
google avatar

JP P.

Yelp
Partner and I stopped here en route to some wineries in order to try out their lobster rolls. It's all outdoor seating in front and a lot more in back. They offer 6 different kinds of lobster rolls...we had their classic and hampton rolls along with an order of lobster fritters. They also offer whole lobsters grilled or steamed! The classic is the usual mayo based dressing with a nicely buttered grilled roll. The hamptons is dressed with melted butter and chives...make sure to have plenty of napkins on hand! The fritters were just okay...I prefer more chunks of lobster than batter and the aioli sauce was ok...I preferred the hot sauce that they have in small packets. It's a great spot for your lobster jones!
google avatar

Su L.

Yelp
This place was the best food that we had in the Hamptons. The shopfront is no frills and unassuming, located right on old Montauk highway. There is no customer bathroom unfortunately. They have a chalkboard counter at the front, along with some seating. We ordered the lobster tacos (two piece minimum), lobster bisque, lobster fritters, while I had the warm Hamptons lobster roll, served with butter. We waited maybe 20 minutes for our food, which was decent, considering we had ordered so much. After we got our food, we went to sit on the grass at the back of the store and ate in the sun. Everything was delicious. I had gotten the lobster roll in medium size, and I would order in the smaller size next time, with this amount of food. Would highly recommend and come back when in the area next time.
google avatar

Yelp
The lobster rolls were pretty good. The wasp infestation wasn't. You couldn't enjoy the ambiance or food because there were so many. Pest control definitely needed there
google avatar

Dona F.

Yelp
Best lobster roll. I had their regular but largest one which had 8 oz of lobster meat. Buttered brioche roll and soggy chips on the side. Very nice choice of seafood on the menu as well as different types of lobster rolls. This is basically a small stand along the road. Park, order by window , pick up your food and eat at benches out front or around the back.
google avatar

Myrna M.

Yelp
Don't let the location fool you!!! The Shinnecock Lobster factory has a great lobster roll. Big chunks of lobster in a buttered brioche bun!!!' I cannot wait to go back. Dining is roadside or they have picnic tables in the back.

Restaurant S.

Yelp
Im assuming that Doug Geed didn't actually eat the food here! We spent $98 on one shark lobster roll, lobster mac & cheese, bisque and two cans of beer. Everything was TASTELESS!! The soup would've been great if the broth had more taste! Oh, and they charge $4 for HALF an ear of boiled corn on the cob. No butter as ordered. Tourist trap on the reservation. LOL. What a huge disappointment. One and done i guess. We saw a girl wheeling a wagon with buckets of boiled lobster parts through the parking lot as well. Hows that for sanitary. They've got a money maker going here. We were so excited to find a great place off the beaten path to frequent. Oh well, onto the next.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place it has the best Lobster Roll I've ever eaten hands down! I usually get the whale Diablo because it has a nice amount of spice to it and my wife really enjoyed the salmon burger which was freshly made and had all the right flavors. I also ordered the Mac cheese which was also delicious. I've been here on many occasions and have never been disappointed.
google avatar

Sara Miguez M.

Yelp
Terrible! The lobster is so over cooked. Very nervy to charge so much money for a lobster roll. Would never recommend and will ever go back:(

Yelp
East End Clambake has (and will always be) always been my go to for lobster salad and lobster rolls hands down. But I heard about this place and decided to drive out of the way to try them. Their service is beyond unorganized and slow. I waited 10 mins to order a classic lobster roll (Wed at 4pm) with 2 people ahead of me placing simple quick orders. After waiting 20 mins and checking twice, they admitted they lost my ticket. They slowly made my order. 30 mins to get a basic lobster roll that's already pre made so all they have to do is scoop onto the roll. They don't have lemon, so that was annoying. The roll was stale and hard. The lobster was DRIPPING in mayo, and the entire dish lacked seasoning. Very bland. I also had the pleasure of seeing the guy in kitchen slowly making everyone's food lifting the overflowing garbage bag without washing his hands after. Bonus! No, I won't be back, and clearly anyone who loves this place has never had the opportunity to try East End Clambake or another great lobster roll place to see how off this place is. Yuck!

Yelp
I stopped by after getting my vaccine at the Stony Brook campus -- it's a 6 min drive around the corner! Worth every turn! The menu is super easy to read and the lobster rolls come in 3 creative sizes: Guppy , Shark or Whale (I thought it was different catch options my mind was racing lol) I had to try that whale! I ordered the whale 'Hampton' style roll at the clerks recommendation, a lobster bisque & a side of Mexican corn. The back of the restaurant has picnic tables available to sit at that look across a field. It would be nice to picnic on the grass too if you bring a blanket. The Hampton Roll was insanely smothered with butter; I don't know how the bun stayed together but it was toasted & crunched every bite. So buttery tasty! Roll came with a side of chips that were perfect for dipping into the lobster bisque. The bisque was FILLED with lobster. I felt like I had a whale roll & a whale bisque! The little tomatoes in the soup are exquisite. They absorb the flavor really nicely. The Mexican Corn was longing for a little hot sauce but it was still a fresh perfect side & I live in no regrets. I need to try every lobster roll on this menu. New 2021 summer goal! If they made homemade lemonade; I would have felt like I was on a beach. This place is a slice of heaven!

Sally B.

Yelp
The food was good but everything else about this location was awful. They had to go out of their way to purchase the absolutely weakest, cheapest plastic forks and knives (which came in a plastic bag with a napkin as thin and small as possible). The prices add up quickly and, if they had any respect for their customers, they would provide decent utensils and additional napkins. The tables provided were small and very cheaply covered...not to mention surrounded by bees. Within a few minutes, we headed for the safety of our car. I guess they never heard of exterminators. Not worth the trip!

Yelp
Got to this spot around lunch time and there was a line that wasn't crazy long, but then I saw a group get off the line without ordering, so I asked them what happened. They told me the wait was 45 minutes for the orders! I thought that was crazy, but my friends and I decided to order and just go grab a coffee elsewhere first. By the time we got back, our food was ready. The lobster rolls tasted great and they definitely loaded the Whale sized roll, which is a plus. However, it wasn't until after I felt like something was missing. I looked back at the menu and each roll was supposed to come with a pickle and chips! I know the main meal is the lobster roll, but if the menu said they'd come with pickles and chips, I'd expect them to be in my order. A little pricey for lobster rolls, but I thought it was fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Not a fan. Why do they have to doctor everything up with fancy arugula and green onions and celery? A great lobster roll and lobster bisque is simple. Just needs a buttery, toasted roll and fresh lobster. Skip this and go to Stuart's Seafood Market nearby for a top-notch lobster roll.

Yelp
Great stop on the way home from Montauk. My gf and I split a pound and a half lobster. It was the perfect stop and fulfilled our lobster craving! Reasonable prices. Would come back. The fries were also great, but order a side!

Yelp
When in the Hamptons, lobster rolls are a must. I ordered a guppy sized classic lobster roll. Like other reviewers said, they don't just give you claw meat. The guppy sized is 4oz but it was filling and enough for me. I had lobster in each bite and didn't feel like they skimped out on lobster. Prices are reasonable ($22) and they also have outdoor seating.
