Shintana Saya La Maison

Shintana Saya La Maison is a charming hotel located slightly outside the city center of Siem Reap. With our rental car, however, getting around was easy and convenient. The rooms are cozy. A one-hour massage per person is included in the room rate, which is a very nice added benefit and good value. The pool is large and set within a quiet garden area, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The only aspect that could be improved is the breakfast. Compared to other hotels in Siem Reap, the quality and selection could be a bit higher. Overall, it is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

Before our 10-day trip to Siem Reap, we did quite thorough research on hotels, and Shintana Saya La Maison was one of the three finalists. I had read almost all the available information, reviews, photos, and so on before making the decision. Throughout the whole process, communication with the hotel was very smooth and quick, which also gave them extra bonus points. In the end, I don’t regret the decision at all. The hotel’s service is truly at a very high level, the staff is wonderful, and the location is outside the noisier city center, which was exactly what we were looking for. That distance is easily compensated by the free transportation the hotel provides to Pub Street. Even during the second half of our stay, going to the center for a quick meal never felt inconvenient. Throughout the entire vacation there wasn’t anything we were missing, this is exactly the kind of attitude and service I expect from a hotel. The massages are excellent and definitely worth mentioning. The rooms are also fantastic, and the level of cleanliness is very high, with absolutely nothing to complain about.

A little paradise in Siem Reap. The hotel is beautiful and well kept, super clean and a little paradise to relax after an exhausting day at the temples. David (the owner) and his team are trying really hard to make the stay as wonderful as possible. Our room was beautiful and clean. The pools are wonderful to relax and swim. The staff is the best hotel staff I have ever had ( friendly, helpful, funny but always keeping the right distance). Every day we got some surprises which we didn’t expect and haven’t had to pay ( cocktails, a massage, a late check out, for free laundry service,….). The best part for us was actually the breakfast. It is not big but they have enough of everything to start a wonderful day with fresh fruit juices, good coffee, bakery things, a egg station, a soup station and of course the smile of the staff!!!

This is a truly wonderful hotel in nice location with exceptional service. From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of. The staff is extremely hospitable, attentive, and genuinely focused on guests’ comfort.||The massages were excellent – very relaxing, with caring and professional therapists who really know what they’re doing. The swimming pool was always clean, and the hotel offers many great amenities that make the stay even more enjoyable. Great atmosphere!||Our room was very comfortable and well designed: a coffee machine, an extremely comfortable bed, and many different light sources that allowed us to create a cozy atmosphere at any time of day. During our stay, the hotel also carried out mosquito control, so we didn’t have to worry about mosquitoes at all, which was a big plus.||There is absolutely no need to worry about safety – Siem Reap feels very safe. The people are incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help. Many locals speak English, which makes everything easy and allows you to feel at home and very comfortable throughout your stay.||However, the biggest impression was made by the hotel staff – the people. They regularly asked about our well-being, took great care of our comfort, and were always helpful and warm. The breakfasts were delicious, full of fresh fruits and excellent coffee. We also really appreciated the free tuk-tuk service to the city, with amazing, professional drivers.||Highly recommended. I truly don’t regret staying here and would absolutely love to come back.

I just spent 4 nights at Shintana Saya La Maison in Siem Reap, and it was truly an amazing stay. The hotel has a modern yet peaceful atmosphere, perfectly designed for relaxation. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped. The staff were always smiling, attentive, and genuinely caring—they really made me feel at home. My stay included several thoughtful complementary services that made everything much easier: • Pick-up and drop-off from the airport with cold towels and fresh coconut water on arrival. • A daily 60-minute treatment at their spa, which was fantastic after long days exploring the city or Angkor temples. • Free tuk-tuk service to the city center (about 10 minutes away) — a great touch given the hotel’s quiet location halfway between downtown and Angkor Wat. • Daily laundry service: you drop your clothes in the morning and find them washed, folded, and ironed by evening. • Complimentary fresh fruit and minibar (water bottles, sodas) in the room, replenished every day. • Homemade snacks and drinks served by the pool each afternoon, always with something new to try. • A simple but satisfying breakfast buffet to start the day well. Overall, this place is a hidden gem — peaceful, comfortable, and run by a team that genuinely cares about every guest. I highly recommend Shintana Saya La Maison if you want an unforgettable, stress-free stay in Siem Reap.

erfect Family Stay – Deserves 6 Stars We had an absolutely perfect 3-night stay at Shintana Saya La Maison (February 3–6, 2026) as a family of four with our daughters aged 11 and 17. From the first moment, our dedicated host Emily made us feel like truly special guests, not anonymous visitors, with warm, personalized care and attention to every detail. Emily arranged a private tour to Angkor Wat and other nearby temples and attractions, and our guide Som was simply outstanding. His historical and technical knowledge, along with his deep understanding of both Buddhism and Hinduism, brought every site to life in a fascinating way. He also impressed our daughters with his knowledge about animals and nature, and on top of that, he took incredible photos of our family throughout the day, creating memories we will treasure. The hotel itself is exceptional: intimate, beautifully designed, and very peaceful, with a relaxing pool area that was perfect after exploring the temples. The complimentary tuk tuk service to the city made it easy and convenient to reach restaurants, the night market, and the center of Siem Reap without any stress. Shintana Saya La Maison truly deserves 6 stars rather than 5 – for the atmosphere, the service, and the people who work there. We would recommend it without hesitation to any family visiting Siem Reap.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly reception staff with a cool coconut drink and refreshing towels. The pool area was nicely set up and although the temperature was a bit nippy, it offered a calming escape from the city. Our room was clean and calming with the most comfortable bed and an ergonomic bath that was perfect after a long day exploring the temples. As part of our package, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, (with good espresso coffee's), we also had a free massage each day in their relaxing spa which were absolutely amazing! My husband and I could share our experience in the same massage room and the therapists were professional, friendly and well skilled. We loved staying here! Thanks for making our trip to Siem Reap incredibly memorable.

As aircrew, I have travelled a lot in my time and stayed in some wonderful hotels, both big and small. However, I can honestly say this hotel has to be one of the very best hotels I have ever stayed in. ||We moved to this hotel following issues at another. The welcome received by Noch was so warm and caring it drew tears from my partner. We were shown to our immaculately presented room with a beautiful pool view. ||Other contributors here have highlighted all the wonderful spotlessly clean facilities this hotel has to offer, so I won’t repeat them again - they are as people say, just wonderful! However, maybe I should just again mention the complimentary bottle of wine & fruit platter on arrival. There was of course the complimentary one hour massage (or whatever you wanted) treatment for each guest. But there was more, we had a bag of laundry from travelling, which the hotel laundered, dried and ironed for us all complimentary as part of the package. Quite an unbelievable service. ||When the Noch realised we had no arrangement for our return journey to the airport, some one hour away, well of course, they offered and provided a complimentary service in the hotel car - quite unbelievable. ||I wish I could mention every employee we met, as everyone was courteous and a credit to the hotel. Some of the names I do recall are, Mr Daro FB supervisor, a true gentleman. Our Masseurs Navan & Sek. Binn the hotel manager, Noch FOH who I previously mentioned and of course David the owner who we met briefly only to be further blown away when he sent some cocktails and fruit as a comp gesture. ||When we departed the hotel, the staff all bid us farewell at the entrance and posed for a photograph which after our wonderful few days was a truly emotional experience! ||Thank you to everyone & to anyone considering staying at this hotel - JUST BOOK IT!
