I stopped in for dinner, and it was my first time there. The restaurant is small and quaint. It was obvious they had live music at times, and the walls were adorned with autographed pictures of performers who have performed there - some were very famous names.
My server greeted me quickly and allowed me to choose my seat. I ordered their fish tacos, and my drink and the food came out in a reasonable time - no complaints.
The order came with 3 tacos, and the first one had nuggets of fish, so that's how I thought it came. But the 2nd and 3rd were whole, intact filets. They were lightly breaded and came out hot and tasty. They're topped with a red cabbage coleslaw and a balsamic dressing. I found the dressing tasty, but it overwhelmed the delicate flavour of the pickerel. I believe there was a swipe of quacomole under the fish, but I couldn't taste it due to the balsamic. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to serve it with a lighter, more subtle sauce to let the pickerel fish shine. Would I order it again? Yes, but with the balsamic on the side. It's worth a visit.
