Shipka It Hotel

I would like to use this platform to thank my hosts Ivan and Tosha for their warm hospitality and congratulate them on running a great hotel. The hosts made my one night stay perfect and I look forward to returning again in the near future. They spoke perfect English to help me with check in and prepared a lovely warm room at extremely short notice. Lovely people. Lovely hotel. See you both soon Ivan and Tosha

We had a very pleasant stay; the owners were very helpful and friendly, the room spacious with comfortable beds and a great view. There is a terrace and a garden (with swimmingpool) for everyone to use, we enjoyed it a lot to have breakfast there. Highly recommend!

This hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in Shipka, but is well signposted and easy to find. ||Lovely family run business, with very kind owners. We had the suite on the top floor, which was very comfortable indeed. ||Don't make the same mistake we made, and only stay one night, the area easily justifies a longer stay, and the hosts have plenty of good recommendations as to what to do, how to get to places etc. ||Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, next time for longer.

The hotel is very cute and clean. All amenities are available and the host is very nice and welcoming. I even had a little issues because of myself (broke something) but we solved it amicably. I definitely recommend.

This hotel is on one of the side streets of Shipka, tucked away and quiet, but a short walk takes you to the heart of the town. In fact, almost all the attractions of Shipka are within a stone's throw from this hotel, and there are quite a few.||The rooms are all individually styled, and very comfortable. We were there during a cold month, and the room was warm and comfortable. The cleanliness is wonderful, and in summer the garden and the balcony areas will no doubt offer many restful moments.||The hotel also offers a spa and sauna treatment, and the rates are very reasonable. The breakfast is a cornucopia of delights - including bread, fruit, eggs, cheeses and whatever else is in season.||The personal attention from the owners ensure that each guest is made to feel special and valued. Truly worth a visit.

Wanna surprise to find a place like this. The owners are so so lovely, helpfully and friendly. The cleanness is perfect, the comfort is very good. The views (From my room, numer 6 you can see 2 tombs, is the The Tomb of Seuthes III ). The breakfast a so delicious with many many different things and in general everything is perfect. I hope to come back soon

Having always wanted to fo to Bulgaria I looked forward in anticipation to having an enjoyable holiday there. We were impressed with the hotel, with a room high up overlooking the Black Sea. We waited until check-in time at 2pm and were told to come back after 3pm for our all-inclusive bands. This prevented us from getting lunch (never a problem in other hotels I have visited). I am not a food expert and I will enjoy most food if it’s cooked and presented well. So for two weeks we were treated to pork and chicken almost exclusively. It was rough and ready - take it or leave it sort of attitude. What food there was was not replenished quickly enough so people had to ask staff or wait until it arrived. It was the first hotel I have ever been in where the cups did not have saucers. The dessert was usually ‘fresh’ fruit which on cutting through, on most occasions turned out to be ‘off’ and well past its sell by date. The staff, particularly the bar staff, were very unfriendly. Your drink was slapped down on the counter without a word - only a surly look. This could be a great hotel as it’s in a good position and well kept but until the staff are retrained in customer relations I would never return there. I suggest the staff are taken to a hotel in Spain for proper training in how to deal with paying customers. Until then this hotel is a no no.

Boutique family owned property with very inviting, hospitable & friendly owners. Lovely green garden where you can relax with a drink after a day of exploring the sites. Rooms were clean with nice view of the garden & the swimming pool. But the food is what we really enjoyed!! Tasty, home cooked, fresh, simply delicious!! The chef uses family recipies & all produce is fresh.
