Bottomless Brunch at this hotel was fabulous. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the festive season and looked great. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much bother and staff frequently approached our table to ensure we were all happy with everything. We enjoyed excellent food from a well varied menu and lovely drinks. I will definitely be returning with family and friends to enjoy again. Very good value for the price.

If you’re planning to visit Derry on your trip to Ireland please consider this fabulous boutique hotel. It’s an excellent location and the service is top notch. Ruth at reception is absolutely amazing. Breakfast is included in the rate and you can choose to have it delivered to your room for a small fee. The restaurant is one of the best rated in the city and fresh fish is delivered daily. The pub is cute and quiet for a relaxing nightcap. An extra special surprise touch was a sweet little Christmas tree 🎄 in our room that made it feel so festive. The hotel itself was also beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms are smallish but super cozy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Would have to give Shipquay a 5 star rating based on staff alone, extremely warm welcome. They also put out additional extras in the room for a special occasion. On top of this the hotel was so central! Only downside to the hotel was the bed was a little bit short for me and my partner (both in excess of 6’2) despite this 10/10! Defined recommended!

We absolutely loved this beautiful hotel. Our room was the Diamond room and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was perfect, from the comfortable bed to the size of the room and gorgeous furnishings. The location is excellent for sightseeing, with the Derry Walls, major sites, restaurants and shops all easily accessible. My only suggestion would be to pack an overnight bag as the parking is a consideration. Breakfast is provided and absolutely delicious, with lots of choice. The staff are really lovely and friendly here. We definitely recommend this accommodation.

Happy to hold our bags whilst we enjoyed the City. Welcome with a glass of bubbly, welcome plate of treats in all rooms & Birthday Wishes & card for our friend. All these extras along with friendly staff make for a special stay in this city centre location. Topped off with a lovely evening meal served by attentive team. Breakfast was perfect with more friendly staff. Bar staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Visited this hotel's restaurant with our son and his family. So six adults and two children aged 7 and 8.|We arrived 30 minutes early, so down to the attached bar, the Lock & Quay for a drink. Very busy with a number of families. Service was efficient and friendly as always.|Next up to the hotel restaurant, which is very welcoming and again busy with families and couples. |Three course Christmas Dinner or a La Carte -not an easy choice but eventually we opted for the latter. Very good variety of dishes to suit all tastes and again excellent service to match the quality of the dishes, |All in all it was a great evening and we can strongly recommend this venue.

Warm friendly welcome, the staff at Shipquay couldn't do enough for you. Class breakfast made to order and comfy rooms with great facilities and piping hot water if you like it! We typically like to visit new hotels and try new places. But this is the 2nd time we've stayed at Shipquay and truly I don't think we would stay anywhere else when visiting Londonderry. Thanks for another wonderful stay.

2 night stay was exceptional even before we arrived. A call a few days before arrival to check if we needed anything or travel/parking advice. Room ready on our early arrival when we were offered complimentary Prosecco. Breakfast choice is 5* and quality of the food is Michelin star standard. Evening meal was absolutely to die for. Every single member of staff seemed to want to go out of their way to make everything perfect for us. The service and attitude from everyone was exceptional. Something that made us chuckle, as non drinkers, was the never ending supply of Mimosas at breakfast…. Prosecco and freshly squeezed orange juice! In my opinion, this is the best hotel in the North West of Ireland, by a country mile and smack in the middle of Derry

Yelp
Very nice, classy hotel in the center of Derry. I came on a tour and was offered a class of Prosecco from the check in clerk ( which was an unexpected treat). Our room was air conditioned ( not all in Ireland are) and we were served well by the bartender in the evening and for breakfast. They had a nice selection of breakfast options including salmon and scrambled eggs. Good coffee, fine linens, overall a place I would return to.

Yelp
We loved the accommodations at Shipquay during our stay there in Derry. Given its location within the City Walls, the Shipquay is ideal for enjoying your time in Derry. The Shipquay is located in a gorgeous Italianate-style-listed heritage building that comprises a wealth of magnificent boutique hotel rooms. Our Superior Double Room had a beautiful and comfortable king-sized bed that was stylish and sophisticated. We enjoyed the amenities, such as the walk-in shower and the castiron tub that my wife and I loved immensely. They had complimentary WiFi and robes and slippers for us to wear in the morning and at night that was quite comfortable. The restaurant on the lobby floor provided us with delicious eats for breakfast and dinner, with refreshing and tasty cocktails, all in a stylish and contemporary interior that was our speed. The hotel is close to everything for site seeing and visiting attractions. There are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance to enjoy. And if you want to stay indoors for the night, you have the restaurant and bar or speakeasy that's on-site. There are shopping centers everywhere, including one next store if you need to pick up some clothes, souvenirs, or just want to take a gander through. Overall, this is the place to stay when in Derry, and we will do so again upon our next one.

Yelp
This was a perfect hotel for our overnight stay in Londonderry! This place is very new and located in the heart of the city. It was hands down my favorite place to stay during our 4-day trip to Ireland. The style captured my eye first. The rooms are chic, clean and cozy. The front desk served me a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. The staff was friendly and service was exceptional. I felt like they truly care about your experience. We ate dinner at Lock and Quay, the hotel restaurant. The waiters were very kind and professional. Our primary waiter even gave my husband a referral for a local pub. Our dinner was delicious--my husband had the Celebration of Lamb with garlic mashed potatoes. I had a steak with mashed potatoes. The only downside was the parking situation. We had to park our rental in a parking garage a few blocks away. I would give five stars if it wasn't for this but they can't really help it based off of where they are located. The walk isn't too bad if you drop off your bags and the service makes up for it!

Yelp
This review is for Niamh at the front desk: my mom and I were stuck in Londonderry at 10pm without a hotel, very close to sleeping in our car for the night. After looking only and going into many hotels who just told us there was no availability, we tried the Quayship. They unfortunately were also booked, but Niamh at the front was the only person who actually helped us out. She made numerous calls for us to check other hotels and ended up finally finding us a room for the night. We were so SO thankful for Niamh!!

Yelp
3 course dinner was wonderful, both fish dishes were both delicious and big. Room was beautiful, breakfast had lots of good stuff. Highly recommend for any stay here.
