Stayed here during off-peak (mid-April) on the weekend (~$190/night) in a deluxe Queen. Really enjoyed the stay, had fun starting my first fireplace fire, and the owners were sweet, welcoming people. They made sure that with our late arrival (~11pm since the office closes @ 7 or 8pm) would be easy and convenient for us. They set it up for us in advance so that it was easy to find, easy to get into the room. It's located in a sleepier part of Cape Cod so depending on what you're looking to do while in the Cape, this is more for a place of relaxation. They recommend not bringing children younger than 12. And let's just say that I'm pretty sure we wouldn't see many party people here during peak season either. In summary:
+ Convenient location, centrally located on the Cape
+ Great restaurants and shops within a 5-10 minute drive away
+ Nauset Beach is only 5 minutes away by car
+ Charming breakfast with a LOT of homemade sweets that are addicting! They describe it as a continental breakfast, which set certain expectations for me, and they exceeded them.
+ Outdoor firepit (during peak season)
+ Has a pool (during peak season)
+ Easy parking
+ Tastefully decorated, B&B style but still a touch of modern Cape Cod
+ Functional fireplaces!
+ Safe and trusting community
+ Great water pressure, modern bathroom
- Rooms can be a little small, especially vertically
- This is an older home so the hallways can be a bit tight
- The floorplan of this house is a bit strange and convoluted
- This is a B&B, so don't expect the walls or doors to be soundproof - you can hear your neighbors
If you're ever in the area I'd recommend visiting the following places:
- Sir Cricket's (fried clam bellies, fried oysters)
- The Knack (lobster roll, burgers, shakes)
- Cuffy's (Cape Cod merchandise)
