Visited Shiraz on a biryani-craving night, and it was an experience with its highs and lows.
The restaurant is located in a prime spot, but parking was a challenge—I had to park my two-wheeler on the sidewalk. Once inside, the place exudes an old Arabic vibe, with a menu packed full of Mughlai delicacies.
We kept it simple and ordered a Chicken Biryani along with the winter special off-the-menu Mutton Nihari paired with Tandoori Roti. The rotis were generously sized, and the biryani was light yet flavorful, served with the classic Kolkata touch—aloo and egg included. However, the Nihari was a bit of a letdown; while the taste was decent, the mutton pieces could have been more tender.
One noticeable downside was the lack of beverage options—no fresh lime soda or similar drinks available.
That said, the staff’s behavior was exceptional—cordial, attentive, and very polite, which added a positive note to the visit.
Total cost for two came to around ₹800. Might revisit to try something else from their extensive Mughlai menu.
