Such a cute cafe in a quiet corner. Entrance and shop with Ghilbi decoration. We had a hojicha latte and matcha, both tasty. We also ate the chocolate creamy puff Totoro and ... Very big surprise ! Not only this pastry was cute but also very tasty ! The chocolate mousse inside is excellent ! They have different flavors depending on the flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient. We felt really good here. We took away some more totoros. Thank you !

Service: If you eat at the cafe, you must order a drink per person. We ordered an ice cream as well but they forgot it, so we just cancelled it. When we wanted to take our cream puff to go, the staff refused to give us an empty cup. He wanted me to use my dirty coffee cup that had lipstick and well, coffee left on and in it. Food: We got a hojicha latte and a sakura syrup soda. The hojicha latte was very good and we recommend it. The soda was very sweet, but squeezing the lemon juice out helped. The very adorable cream puffs were unfortunately overrated in taste - they weren't that good and the custard filling in the regular one was not my thing. The chocolate cream puff was better. The pastry part was thick in the ears and overall they were not crispy at all, but rather chewy. Atmosphere: Very cozy that was once an old house. The cafe is upstairs and the bakery to-go is downstairs. Lots of cute Totoro decor everywhere. The surrounding neighborhood and the Setagaya-Daita Station are so peaceful. You feel like you're walking through a cute little trail in the woods. Not really worth going out of your way for.

An absolute must-visit for any Totoro and Hayao Miyazaki fan. Tucked away in a quiet, charming neighborhood, the shop feels like stepping into a real-life Studio Ghibli scene. From the moment you arrive, the whimsical details and cozy atmosphere make it clear this place is something special. We added our names to the wait list shortly after arriving and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated upstairs. The café menu offers a lovely selection of drinks (required per person) and light fare, including coffee, tea, and seasonal beverages, along with sweet treats that perfectly complement the star of the show, the cream puffs. The Totoro-shaped cream puffs come in a variety of flavors depending on the season, and they are almost too cute to eat… almost. Each one is light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Trust me, you can’t stop at just one. Coming earlier in the day is highly recommended, as the cream puffs are known to sell out quickly, sometimes as early as noon. The bakery is actually located on the first floor where you can pick up baked goods to go. The TOLO coffee and bakery is located on the second floor and it offers delicious pastas and other small bites. Between the charming setting, delightful treats, and magical Ghibli vibes, Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Shop is a memorable experience and a highlight you won’t want to miss.

I absolutely LOVED this cafe and it exceeded my expectations in the best possible way. When you step inside, there is a small takeaway shop on your left and when you go upstairs, you will find the cafe where you can sit and have a coffee and Totoro cream puff (amongst other baked goods). We got seated right away at the most charming table overlooking the entryway staircase and service was prompt and excellent throughout our visit. The cream puffs themselves were so delicious!! Sometimes with themed foods, it can be underwhelming when you actually try it. At this cafe however, you can tell the bakers take pride in crafting their pastries. We had a custard cream puff and a blueberry one with a coffee and both were divine (see pics of disassembled totoros for reference lol). It is such a happy, uplifting place to visit and it was also nice to see how happy these cute totoros made everyone, from young to old. I dream of returning here one day.

Back again! 😄 First time we came, the cream puffs were sold out, bummer. Came back during our Japan trip 2026 and luckily they had some! Ordered 3 drinks and 3 cream puffs - chocolate cream and custard cream. Texture was a bit firm, wasn't sure how to eat. Not the best, but worth it for the experience and insta worthy pics

I had to go here on my trip and they lived up to their expectation!! Not too sweet but so light and fluffy. I wish I had more than one! And it’s located in such a cute neighbourhood straight out of a Ghibli film. The walk and even standing outside to eat wa so enjoyable.

Such cute little cream puffs designed to bring about the magic of Ghibli. The store and cafe was very busy despite its remote-ish location but worth a visit. It’s not the nicest pasty you’ll taste but the cuteness is 100% worth it.

This place was so cute! I loved all of the little decorations on the shelves and adorable framed posters on the walls. It’s a small shop but there isn’t really much need for a lot of space anyway, so it’s not a big issue. The cream puffs are so cute that I almost didn’t want to eat mine at first, but when I finally took a bite I couldn’t stop because it was so delicious. I highly recommend going here if you are a Studio Gibli fan, or even if you aren’t and just happen to be in the area. Either way, you won’t regret it!
