If you're looking to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature, Shivpuri–Nagarjuna National Park is a hidden gem just outside Kathmandu. The trails are peaceful yet invigorating — surrounded by dense forests, chirping birds, and the occasional monkey crossing your path.
The hike offers a mix of spiritual and physical energy. Whether you're trekking toward Bagdwar (source of the Bagmati River) or exploring the Nagarjuna side with its hilltop viewpoints, the serenity is unmatched. On clear days, you can even catch glimpses of the Himalayas peeking through the clouds!
The air is fresh, the paths are mostly clean, and the atmosphere feels sacred. Ideal for hikers, meditation lovers, bird watchers, or anyone just wanting a quiet day in the wild. Don’t forget to carry water, snacks, and a respectful attitude — the park is a protected area and deserves care.
I even did some stone stacking along the trail — a small tribute to balance and nature.
📍 Truly heart, sweat, and soul poured into every step.
