Very mediocre food at high prices. To me this place seemed like a tourist trap. I ordered the fried chicken which I was very excited about but was left quite disappointed by the quality. I think you can find much better places offering more delicious food at much better prices. The atmosphere was cute and the service was friendly.

The ambience and service was excellent. I was surprised by how many staff there were. Prices are on the high side but the food was great. We found the yakitori lacking and a bit salty but the horse sashimi, bee larvae, soba and chicken were top notch. We did regret not ordering the oden though.

One of the highlights so far during our stay in Japan. The staff were the highlight - they were attentive and so welcoming. We were treated to a number of small dishes by the lovely matriarch - some I'll admit we're interesting at first!
Food was excellent. It felt like a locals restaurant, so we sat up at the counter and watched the magic at work.
Highly recommend!

Very near Matsumoto castle. Food was great - I had the Oden (as another reviewer has said, delicate and tasty broth), the Basashi (first time with horse meat, it was tender), and soba (very nice). They had great service with a number of wait staff on standby. Just a bit expensive though.

Went there during lunch time and had the super delicious Sanzoku Yaki in this spacious izakaya.
Was really well priced and generous with their meals. Probably some of the best chicken I had in the whole trip.
Would definitely recommend a visit . Even have English menu for foreigners

Nice spacious izakaya. However didn’t find the food to be memorable and prices were steeper than usual. Chicken yakitori was tough and salty. Oden was alright. Katsudon was the best dish on the table.

The very best soba noodles I have ever tried!! Oden was good too. Yakitori dish included 5 different parts of chicken meat but the sauce was a bit too heavy to my taste. Service was excellent, most of them speak simple English. They had menu in English but choices of food was only 1/3 of the original menu. Will definitely return for the soba!
