SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop

I don’t live anywhere near here but whenever I am around and I gave time to stop, I stop and have a bit here at SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop. What I like most about it, is the food. I feel like my mom, dad or one of my Aunties made it and I feel like I’m with them chillin’ and eating. It brings back memories. Besides that, the owner is kind and friendly and so are the workers. This place if clean and smells clean. It’s a spot where there’s no real fanfare but I like that because, once inside, you have some chairs, a few tables and a two stool window seat option. However, there is a long radiator there so, if you sit to the side, things will work out for you eating over there. They have a nice assortment of cold beverages and food options. Again, the place is clean and I feel confident eating here. Great job and thank you, SHM B&CS!!

Great sausage and cheese on a bagel. Highly recommend. Bagels are small but they are really good. The price is not expensive at all and still was full after enjoying the sandwich.

Fast, great service and good food. What’s not to like? Spent about $10 on a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich roll (served cut in half), small coffee, bottled apple juice and orange juice. Small service fee for using credit cards or tap to pay—cash receives discounts.

Absolutely delicious breakfast sandwiches! The shop was small but there was space inside for us to sit and eat after ordering off the large menu. The service was also awesome. Highly recommend!

Very down to earth, honest, local bagel shop with lots more food options. I loved the hot toasted bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, washed down with a large coffee.

Ever since the old owners left I can’t seem to like this place. They are extremely overpriced for that they serve. Last time I ordered a BLT, with well done bacon on an everything bagel. The entire sandwich was burnt, the bacon the bread, I couldn’t even eat it. The guy at the front was helpful and said I could come back and get a new sandwich. I picked up the sandwich a few days later, it wasn’t too bad, but not satisfying. I went today to spend 7 dollars on another BLT, to basically eat tomatoes lettuce and bread. Bacon is the main component on a BLT and instead I get three to four thin slices of bacon? For seven dollars? I couldn’t even taste bacon. It’s unfortunate because this place is so close to me. I wouldn’t mind paying the money if the sandwich was actually put together nicely. Not worth it in my opinion.

This place is legit. Delicious and HONEST food, done right and done quick. Prices are pretty good. Had some croissant breakfast sandwiches and they hit the spot. Will explore the lunch menu.

I love supporting local eateries and getting good deals, so I ordered from SHM through the app Allset (use code FONQ01 for $15 off), which gives you cash back towards future orders, and then went to pick up my bacon, egg, and cheddar sandwich. It was ready ahead of time and waiting for me on the counter, packed up with a seltzer, some ketchup packets, napkins, and salt and pepper in a brown paper bag. Service was friendly and quick, and the BEC tasted exactly as I'd hoped it would! (I put some sriracha on it when I got home. Yum.) Great prices and good food!

Best Deli in BK! I love this place because they have so many items on their menu, the food is so fresh, delivery is so quick and the owner is super personable. They will make anything with any customization whether it's on the menu or not. They always make great substitution suggestions to assist with dietary restrictions. You can eat in their small dining room or take food to go. I typically call in my order when I get off the subway and by the time I walk in, the food is ready to go. Highly recommend!

The food was simply not edible. My friend and I ordered pick up. The address listed online was incorrect. When we got back to our place, I discovered an almost burnt waffle and actual burnt turkey bacon. The waffle was so tough, even drenching it in syrup didn't help. I also go a side of potatoes and an egg. The potatoes were flavorless. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Grand Street is a bit of a food desert, but SHM is a surprising oasis. It's a cross between a deli and a low key coffee shop, serving breakfast, bagels, burgers, salads, Mexican dishes (3 tacos for 7 dollars????), and smoothies/juice. They are nice, and accommodating with special orders.
