Shoestrings Backpackers

Shoestring is one of the backpackers accommodation in Victoria Falls offering good rates to group of people. We stayed there for three nights and the staff was really friendly. People usual come there for drinks and entertainment

Very comfortable tents with full beds. Decent price. Lovely bar and café with friendly staff. Good quality activities.

Staff - were great, friendly, and super helpful. Anne, Marv, and Brighton Towels - need replacing, holes, and worn out. The pool looks terrible and needs to be redone. Overall, the place needs attending. Looks run down. Wifi - barely had wifi No hot water - out of 10 showers had 1 warm shower and 3 lukewarm. Rest cold. No communal kitchen Windows - to the communal bathrooms / showers should be frosted. Furniture - in general, is dirty and uncomfortable Rooms - adequate and basic. Mosquito nets are torn and in need of a good soak and clean. Windows cracked. Could do with a good coat of paint. There is no place to keep food. No kettles. It was a decent place because of the staff and location but could do with some attention.

Don't come here in the weekends if youre into sleeping. , they throw big parties for the locals and tourists and blast music until late at night. The locked tent next to us got broken into when the people took a 15 minute shower. It felt quite organized. To make it worse the manager made them feel like the guest lost their money and passport. They knew it was stolen at shoe strings because their tent was ripped by a knive, and they watched the security cameras which confirmed they were stolen at shoe strings!The kitchen was also closed during lunch and dinner, and they had very few breakfast items. They also messed up our booking at the Boma dinner, which resulted in a very unpleasant experience at the Boma.

Do not stay here if you want sleep. Currently in my private room and the music from the bar is booming. Pool is filth (as so many reviews say). I don’t know why they don’t just clean it?? Had my friends use my shower because the dorm ones are grotty. Don’t be fooled by the photos online - everything needs serious TLC. My floors and towels are gross. Not worth the money.

Very centrally located with a lovely garden. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was nice but on the expensive side. Fridays and Saturdays locals come to party there so it can be noisy if you dont want to join in.

Alright budget option for Vic Falls. Both rooms and tents are available. I slept in a tent with a good bed - it was comfortable enough. A DJ plays music until late on Saturdays.

Probably the best backpackers I’ve been too in Southern Africa !! Amazing to know Chicken the goat is living his best life at the sanctuary just outside the falls, we even went to visit !! The food is perfect and the best price in vic falls !!
